Subriel Matías Headlines “Taínos vs. Aztecas” card Tonight in Bayamón

Bayamón, Puerto Rico – Competitive fights are what the company Fresh Productions Boxing will offer by way of the “Taínos vs. Aztecas” card, happening this Saturday, November 9th in the Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum in Bayamón.

Every fight of this event will be Puerto Ricans against Mexicans as a tribute to the legendary, relevant, and exciting rivalry of the sport.

În evenimentul principal, former world champion Subriel Matías “el Orgullo de Maternillo” (20-2, 20 KO) will face the dangerous Roberto “El Rifle” Ramírez (26-3-1, 19 KO) din Mexic, in a duel of punchers, programată pentru 10 rounds in the junior welterweight division (140 de lire sterline).

“I’m happy with this opportunity. I came in top shape for this fight. I trained according to the opponent I’ll face off against. I believe many know it’s no myth that I was laying low for a long time and now I’m coming back with more hunger. Everyone will see that there will be Jeyvier for a long time. I still feel a desire to bring glory to Puerto Rico. They say you got to reach the bottom to see glory and that’s what’s been handed to me. I went through tough times, and on Saturday, I’ll show what I’m capable of”.

Rashib Martínez:

“Thank you to the promotion company for the opportunity. Fighting in Puerto Rico is a source of pride and more so as part of a card that represents this rivalry of Puerto Rico vs. Mexic. This fight against Jeyvier is my ticket to launch me for bigger things. I come thoroughly prepared physically and mentally, and I will give a great performance. Thank you to my manager Sergio Reina for getting me to this point”.

As if that were not enough, the recent WBO NABO champion at 140 de lire sterline, and ranked #8 by the organization, Alfredo ‘Ojo’ Santiago (15-2, 6 KO), from Fajardo, will defend his title against Mexican Pedro ‘La Roca’ Campa (36-3-1, 24 KO), from Sonora, Mexico in a 10-round fight.

De asemenea, in a battle that promises plenty of action, Cidra’s Abimael “Manos de Piedra” Ortiz (10-1, 5 KO) will face Mexican world contender Kevin “El Chacal” González (27-1-1, 14 KO) of Sinaloa in the 122-pound division, slated for 10 runde.

To open the broadcast, former Puerto Rican national champion Luis Rodríguez (13-0, 11 KO) of Toa Alta, will battle Mexican Marcos “Zurdo” Vázquez (20-1-1, 10 KO) in the super middleweight division.

Născut și crescut în Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Melendez a început să facă box la vârstă 11. A continuat să aibă 124 lupte amatori, câștigând o serie de titluri portoricane și internaționale, inclusiv olimpiada juniorilor, Cupa Olimpică, și cetățenii din Puerto Rico din 101 lbs. pentru 132 lbs.

Del Valle to battle Snow May 13 în Washington, DC!

Bayamon, PR (Aprilie 29, 2016) – 122 pound powerhouse Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle looks to continue his march towards the top of his division when he faces hard hitting Thomas “KO” Snow in an eight round bout Friday, Mai 13 at the D.C. Armory.

The fight will air live on BET at 10 PM ET.

Living and fighting out of Bayamon, PR, Del Valle’s professional record is 21-2 cu 16 victorii venind cu titlu de knock-out. A former NABA featherweight titlist, Del Valle destroyed Josh Crespo inside of two rounds April 9 in New Hampshire. Against Snow, Del Valle will look for his fourth straight win by stoppage.

Hailing from Capitol Heights, MD, which is 30 minutes from the nation’s capital, Snow enters the ring with an impressive 18-2 ledger and 12 victories via knockout. A winner in eight of his last nine, Snow looks to put the boxing world on notice with a victory in front of his friends and family on the 13lea.

“This is my second straight fight against a confident opponent close to their hometown,” Del Valle said from his training camp in Puerto Rico. “Fights like these add fuel to my fire because knocking out Thomas Snow in DC makes a bigger statement than doing it anywhere else.”

Del Valle also thinks a victory over Snow in front of a worldwide audience on BET will play a big role in moving him up the rankings.

“I really believe this fight is going to get me back where I need to be. Fighting on TV is very important at this stage of my career and I’d like to thank Roc Nation for this great opportunity. I also want to thank Thomas Snow for stepping up to the plate, even though he’s going to regret it afterwards!"

Promoted by Roc Nation as part of their “Throne Boxing” series, the card is headlined by a ten round bout featuring rising star Dusty Harrison against contender Mike Dallas.

Del Valle Demolishes Crespo in Two

Salem, NH (Aprilie 10, 2016) – Super bantamweight contender Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle of Bayamon, PR scored a dominant second round stoppage over local favorite Josh Crespo Saturday, Aprilie 9 at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH.
With a standing room only crowd on hand, Del Valle pressured Crespo early in the opening round and found a home for right hands. A doua, Del Valle continued to connect with clean shots including a perfectly placed hard overhand right to Crespo’s temple that sent him crashing to the canvas. The game Crespo got up and immediately stumbled back to the canvas but incredibly made it back to his feet before the count of 10. Seconds later, Del Valle swarmed his badly hurt foe and landed a number of punches until Crespo’s corner threw in the towel at 2:17.
"I knew early in the first round that I was the stronger fighter and would be able to hurt him with my punches,” Del Valle said after improving his record to 21-2 cu 16 Lui KO. “I give him all the credit in the world for stepping up to fight me and having tremendous heart. I thought the referee was going to stop it because I’ve never seen a fighter get knocked down, stand up, fall again then get back up in less than ten seconds.”
Del Valle who scored his third consecutive stoppage since losing a controversial decision to Luis Rosa, is confident that he’ll land another bout against a top fighter in the very near future.
"I did what I had to do last night and it’s onto bigger and better things. În mintea mea, Darchinyan is the only fighter to defeat me and I’ve grown a lot since then. There are many great fighters at 122 pounds that I’d love to get in the ring with and I’m confident it will happen soon.”

Bayamon, Puerto Rico (Septembrie 15, 2015) - Sambata trecuta, pană pretendent Luis "Orlandito" Del Valle a văzut colegii portoricani Jonathan Oquendo și Ramon "Rocky" Martinez în lupte incitante, ca parte a undercard Floyd Mayweather-Andre Berto.
După ce a pierdut trei crize anterioare împotriva luptătorilor nivel campionat, Oquendo fost pentru a demonstra că a patra timpul său ar fi un farmec împotriva două diviziuni titlist Jhonny Gonzalez Mexic. Un underdog considerabilă, Oquendo învins o primă rundă trântă să renunțe Gonzalez foarte următoarea rundă, în drum spre o victorie decizie majoritară de divertisment. Victoria a fost cel mai mare din cariera sa și îl pune în poziția de o lovitură titlu mondial.
