"Rumble at the Rock 2" ne fait pas exception. Dans l'événement principal de 10 manches de la nuit, Honolulu, Logan "The Korican Kid" Yoon, invaincu d'Hawaï (12-0, 10 KOs) défendra son championnat WBO-NABO Youth Junior Welterweight contre l'ancien WBA Fedecentro Super Lightweight, WBA Fedecaribe Welterweight et WBA Fedecentro Welterweight Champion John «El Emperador» Renteria (16-4-1, 12 KOs) du Panama.

Béni avec des réflexes félins, mains rapides et puissance substantielle, le prometteur Yoon, 19 ans, gagne en fans et en réputation avec chaque performance impressionnante. Dans son dernier combat en juillet, il a pris une décision unanime sur le vétéran colombien Luis E. Flores avec des dizaines de 99-91, 97-93 et 97-93. Renteria, 26 ans, de Panama City, est un professionnel de six ans. Il a remporté le championnat WBA Fedecentro Super Lightweight en mars 2016, avec un TKO 6 sur alors invaincu (16-0) David Lobo Ramrez. Renteria a remporté le titre WBA Fedecaribe Welterweight en avril suivant par décision technique au neuvième round contre Omir Rodriguez. He also grabbed the WBA Fedecentro Welterweight Championship with a TKO 5 over formerly undefeated Lesvy Maure.

“I am happy to be coming to Florida,” said Renteria. “I am representing Panama and I am coming to showcase my talent. My rival Logan Yoon is a very tough upcoming prospect who is very powerful, so I will bring my all.”
