By becoming the WBA Interim cruiserweight champion, Shumenov also became the No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger for WBA Super cruiserweight titlist Denis Lebedev (28-2, 21 KO), who also fights tuto sobotu in Russia against International Boxing Federation (IBF) mistr Victor Emilio “Tyson de Abasto” Ramirez (22-2-1, 17 KO) in a unification match.
The WBA has already mandated that the Lebedev-Ramirez must fight Shumenovwithin 120 dny.  LAS VEGAS (Duben 29, 2016) – World Boxing Association (WBA) Interim cruiserweight world champion Shumenov Beibu (16-2, 10 KO), the only Kazakhstan-native to hold world titles in two different weight classes, is disputing the WBA’s sanctioning of the WBA “pravidelný” cruiserweight world championship fight, Květen 20 v Paříži, between two lower-ranked WBA fighters, Do Not. 2 yunier Dorticos a č. 5 Youri Kalenga (recently upgraded to No. 3).Loni v červenci, Shumenov defeated B.J.
