This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show we recap last week’s multiple Bellator cards and the UFC Fight Night card from Boise, Idaho. We start off discussing boxing with an analysis of Manny Pacquiao’s one-sided beating of Lucas Matthysse. We move on to other news this week, including an online spat between Brendan Schaub and Dana White and Dominick Cruz claiming Brock Lesnar will never get through USADA testing to return to the UFC octagon. We also cover upcoming boxing and MMA bouts and discuss the eye poking incidents that occurred during the brief Stipe Micocic vs. Daniel Cormier heavyweight championship bout.

Denne uken på FNU Combat Sports Show, Psychic Tom and Rabble Rousin’ Rich start off with a great interview with pro boxer Anthony Laureano. The Connecticut professional boxer is coming off a big win on the undercard of the Joe Smith Jr. fight at the end of June. We also recap last week’s boxing and MMA action, highlighted by Daniel Cormier’s monumental win over Stipe Miocic to become the first two belt holder in the UFC since McGregor. Tony joins the broadcast after the Laureano interview to give his take on Brock’s return to the UFC after going back to the WWE at the end of his first UFC stint. We also touch upon the Danny O’Connor fight being called off due to severe dehydration suffered by O’Connor. Endelig, we preview upcoming events and briefly discuss a rumored rematch between Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis.

Denne uken på FNU Combat Sports Show, Tom, Tony og Rich ser tilbake på Bellator 201, en ny kandidat til “Round of the Year” i Zappavigna / Saucedo-kampen, Golden Boy gjør trekk i boksing og MMA, og det økende presset fra streamingtjenester for å tømme PPV-dollar fra sportsfans. Vi begynner å diskutere hjernerystelsessymptomer som førte til uttaket av Max Holloway fra UFCs hovedhendelse 226 denne uka.

 

Selvfølgelig forhåndsviser vi også en enorm helg for UFC med The TUF Finale i kveld og den etterlengtede UFC 226 hovedhendelsen til Stipe Miocic som satte tungvektbeltet på banen mot lett tungvektsmester Daniel Cormier.

Vi tar også en titt tilbake på UFC Fight Night 124 og ser fram til to store arrangementer på lørdag: Bellator 192 headlinet av Sonnen vs. Jackson og UFC 220 ledet av tunge og lette tungvekt kamper mellom Stipe Miočić og Francis Ngannou (HVY) og Daniel Cormier og Volkan Oezdemir (L.HVY). Denne uken Tom, Tony and Rich discuss how boxing is winning the combat sports battle for market share. We recap Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. and preview UFC 211. We also talk about the planned superfight between Canelo and Triple G, Gennady Golovkin. We break in with the news of GSP vs. Bisping getting cancelled and go on to explore multiple UFC fighter complaints from Tom Lawlor to Luke Rockhold to Anderson Silva. We will be moving the show to rantsports.com next week so stay tuned on the transition details.

 

We also touch on our interview from last year with “THE” James Krause, who just won his first fight in The Ultimate Fighter house on the current season of the reality TV tournament. This interview is from just prior to the UFC sale to WME/IMG and company, and it’s very eye opening:
