Wilmington, DE (Februar 8, 2017)–Bare Knuckle Boxing Legend Bobby Gunn is ready for his opportunity of a lifetime, when he takes on all-time great Roy Jones, Jr in a bout scheduled for 12 rounds for the WBF Cruiserweight title that will take place on FreitagNacht, 17. Gunn of Hackensack, New Jersey has been preparing for this fight, and is ready for the biggest fight of his career. “
I am fighting an all-time great, and styles make fights. It will be a hell of a fight,” said Gunn.
Gunn wanted to raise the stakes for the fight, but he doesn’t think that Jones has the confidence that he will come out victorious.
“I laid it out to him for a winner-take-all bout. I am a puncher, so I know I will win this fight.”
This will be Gunn’s 1st bout in 38 Monate, but the Bare-Knuckle Legend has been active fighting on the Bare-Knuckle circuit, and has a perfect record of 72-0 mit 72 knockouts in those bouts.
“People can look, and think that I haven’t been active, but a fight is a fight and I have been fighting the Bare-Knuckle fights. Fighting is Fighting. The only difference in those fights is that the gloves protect the hands. Despite what it says on my boxing record, I have always been active. But the time out of the ring plus being against Roy Jones, Jr, the fans will see a different Bobby Gunn.”
Gunn, usually a mild-mannered fighter, has also been motivated by some “Trash-Talk”from Jones.
“He said that I don’t deserve to be in the same ring as him. I was already motivated for this, and he will find out otherwise on 17. Februar. Nach 17. Februar, he will remember me for the rest of his life. I am not coming to dance. I am coming to fight, and early on, Roy will know that he has a fight on his hands.”

Wilmington, DE (Januar 26, 2017)–World ranked junior middleweight Kanat Islam will battle tough Brazilian Robson Assis in the scheduled 10-round co-feature bout on Friday night, 17. Februar am Chase Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
The bout will support the previously announced 12-round WBF Cruiserweight title bout featuring legendary Roy Jones Jr. kämpfen Bobby Gunn.
The show will be show live on Pay-Per-View.
Islam of Kazakhstan, who now calls Pahokee, Florida home has a record of 22-0 mit 18 knockouts and is currently ranked number-4 by the WBA, number-5 by the WBO and number-15 by the IBF.
Die 32 year-old Islam is a 5 year-professional who holds victories over Humberto Toledo (41-8-2), former world title challenger Francisco Cordero (29-2), Juan De Engel (18-3-1) and his last bout when he went home to Kazakhstan and pounded out a 12 round unanimous decision over Patrick Allottey (34-2) auf October 29th.
Islam is a former WBA Fedecaribe and current WBA Fedelatin and WBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight champion.
Assis of Sao Paulo, Brazil has a record of 16-3 mit 9 Knockouts. Assis is a former Brazilian Welterweight champion and former interim WBO Latino champion.
He won the Interim WBO Latino title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Christian Romero (13-3) and retained with a 12-round unanimous decision over Hector Santana (21-4).
Assis’ nur 3 losses have come to world class fighters Jeff Horn (8-0-1), Samuel Vargas (22-2-1), and his last bout when he was stopped by Steven Butler (16-0-1) auf July 7th in Montreal.

LAS VEGAS (Dezember 13, 2016) – The strongest overall card of the highly acclaimed “Knockout Night at the D” series is set for this Saturday night (Dezember. 17), Lüften Live (7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. UND) on CBS Sports Network from inside the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center indoor facility. FloBoxing.tv will live stream the undercard worldwide, ab 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. UND), in addition to three main card TV bouts – excluding North America – beginnend an 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. UND).

Palicte (21-2, 18 KOs) is a dangerous Filipino fighter who is world rated at No. 11 von der International Boxing Federation (IBF) und Nr. 15 von der WBO. Now training in Los Angeles, Palicte is looking forward to making his American debut Dezember. 17.

I’ve fought some quality fighters and I think I can do what I want in the ring, though I won’t say it’s going to be easy to control the fight.”
Styles made fights and a classic match-up between a consummate boxer (Cantu) and powerful puncher (Palicte) guarantees an intriguing fight that should be highly entertaining and incredibly competitive. Both fighters also respect each other.
“Palicte brings an impressive record and a lot of experience,” Cantu noted. “The road to a world title is a tough one, which means no easy opponents. I am really excited about this challenge. This is a classic fight because of our styles and I am sure we won’t let the viewing public down. I am ready to become the next great American champion in this weight class.”
“Cantu is a smart boxer,” Palicte added. “I’d compare him to Ismael Garnica, who I fought in our Showdown at Sands in Macau. (Palicte won by way of a seventh-round TKO.) Er (Cantu) is kind of a runner, zu, always moving around the ring, but we can never tell one’s ability until we’ve fought.

Wilmington, DE (Dezember 2, 2016) David Feldman Promotions will announce that former four-division champ and Boxing Legend Roy Jones, Jr. will square off against former world title challenger, and Bare-Knuckle Legend Bobby Gunn auf Freitag, 17. Februar 2017 for the Vacant WBF World Cruiserweight Championship.

The fight will be announced at the official press conference on Dienstag, Dezember 6, 2016 bei 2 PM at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
In attendance will be Roy Jones, Jr., Bobby Gunn, Promoter David Feldman, WBF Representative James Gibbs, undercard fighters Joe Tiberi, Henry Stewart, und mehr.

During his twenty-seven year professional career, Jones Jr. (64-9, 46 KOs) has secured world titles in four different weight categories – Mittelgewicht, Supermittelgewicht, Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight – and is the only boxer in history to start his career as a Light Middleweight and then go on to win a Heavyweight Championship.

In winning the WBA Heavyweight title by beating John Ruiz by unanimous decision in March 2003, Jones Jr. made history by becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a heavyweight title in 106 Jahre.

Jones Jr. has victories over former world champions Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver, Vinny Panzienza, James Toney, Mike McCallum, Virgil Hill, Felix Trinidad and John Ruiz.

Jones Jr. said of the bout, “I know Bobby Gunn is coming to bring it. He’s a hard-nose, tough fighter that comes right at you, but I’m going to show him why I’m one of the best that ever did it and he doesn’t belong in the ring with me.”

Februar 17, Jones Jr’s opponent will be the former IBA Cruiserweight World Champion and the current Bare Knuckle Heavyweight Champion, Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn.

Gunn, internationally known for being a Bare-Knuckle legend, will put the gloves back on to battle ring legend Roy Jones, Jr.

Like Jones Jr, Gunn has a fearsome record in gloved boxing – 21 Siegen (18 KO) 6 Verluste, one draw, and one no-contest – and an even more impressive undefeated Bare Knuckle record of 72-0 mit 72 KO).

Gunn has been in the ring with top fighters Enzo Maccarinelli, Glen Johnson, Tomasz Adamek, and James Toney, so he is no stranger to sharing the ring with boxing’s elite. Dies wird mein 4. offizielles Amateur Boxer Wiedersehen sein, Die ersten drei fanden in Las Vegas statt (Dezember 2014), New York City (Juni 2015) und Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut (Juli 2015).
Zu den Boxern, die an früheren Treffen teilgenommen haben, gehört der vierfache Weltmeister Roy Jones Jr., dreimaliger Weltmeister Mike “Der Body Snatcher” McCallum und Iran “Die Klinge” Barkley, WBO-Schwergewichts-Champion Lamon Brewster, ehemaliger WBC-Champion im Halbschwergewicht Montell “Eis” Greif, 1988 U.S.. Olympiatrainer Kenny Adams.
Ich hatte die Idee, meine ehemaligen Amateurkollegen seit vielen Jahren und im Dezember zusammenzubringen 2014 Im Rival Boxing Store in Las Vegas hatte ich endlich mein erstes Amateur Boxer Wiedersehen und es war ein enormer Erfolg. Seitdem habe ich noch zwei (bei Jimmy's -Glenn- Ecke auf W.. 44th St.. in NYC und im Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut)erfolgreiche Treffen, bei denen alle von lokalen Amateuren gesehen wurden, regionale Golden Gloves Champions, Nationale AAU-Meister, Weltmeister, Olympioniken und jede andere mögliche Stufe des Amateurboxers.
Ich hatte ursprünglich geplant, Boxer aus meiner olympischen Testklasse zu haben (1988)versammeln sich für ein Wiedersehen, aber ändern Sie es zu jeder Ära oder Ebene. Zu diesem Zweck hatten wir Boxer von 1976 A.A.U.. Nationalmeister Bret Summers aus Washington State und 1976 Der jamaikanische Olympiasieger Mike McCallum bis hin zu 2004 U.S.. Olympischen Jason Estrada.

LAS VEGAS (Mai 21, 2016) – Determined Phoenix middleweight Andrew “Hurrikan” Hernandez shocked heavy favorite Arif “The Pedator” Magomedov in tonight’s main event on the “Knockout Night at the D” Karte, die live auf gelüftet CBS Sports Network from under the neon lights at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC) outdoor venue.

Hernandez hurt Magomedov in the third and seventh rounds, finally dropping the tough Russian (WBA #2, WB) #3, WBA #5 und IBF #14) in der 10th.
“This fight changes everything for me,” Hernandez proclaimed. “He’s very good and deserves all of the accolades he’s received but I now have my head on straight and I’m focused. My jab was very important tonight. He’s very strong but I wanted to fight him inside because I knew he couldn’t take it from me. Ich war sehr bereit. Southpaw super welterweights John “Der Phenom” Vera (14-0, 9 KOs), von Fort Worth, and Phoenix’ Joey “Boxer” Ruelas (10-2-1, 4 KOs) went toe-to-toe from the opening bell and they never let up in the co-feature. Vera exploded in the round of this firestorm, battering the game Ruelas around, bis zum Schiedsrichter Jay Nady halted the action in the sixth round. Vera remained undefeated and retained his NABA-USA title.
“I knew eventually he’d put his hands down and I’d catch him,” Vera explained. “I thank him for the opportunity to fight. He’s helluva fighter, I give him that, but I know I’m a warrior. I took some shots but gave ’em, zu. I broke him down and just kept throwing those lefts.”

In the TV opener, boxing prodigy Devin “Der Traum” Haney (6-0, 4 KOs) made history as the 17-year-old – a junior in high school – became the youngest American professional boxer to fight on national television. In a battle of Texas junior welterweights, Tony Lopez (11-1, 4 KOs) dropped previously unbeaten Jerren “Hardknocks” Cochran (11-1-1, 4 KOs) twice with lefts in the opening round and finished him off in the second, knocking him out cold with a punishing right.
“Two mores seconds and I would have finished him off in the first,” Lopez remarked. “My corner told me that, after the lefts, come back with a right. They gave me the game plan and I executed.”
