Los Angeles – March 12, 2021 – Ring City USA, the new sports media startup that debuted its Thursday night boxing series in November 2020, announced a stacked undercard today for its March 18 догађај, the next fight night of the boxing outfit’s three-event residency in Puerto Rico. “Fighting there the first time was an interesting experience,” Rivera said. “I had some mixed emotions, but the fans there showed me a lot of love. People came up to me after the fight saying how much they enjoyed watching me fight. It was a good experience for me. I beat up a local fighter, but they want me back, and I’m going there to get the job done again.

“The plan is for me to have more fights this year to increase my ring experience. I feel more confident each fight. All I’m lacking is experience in big fights and that’s coming. The more confident I become in the ring helps me focus better on what I’m doing in there.

“I’ve had a few obstacles along the way, but I love boxing and fighting as ‘Popeye’. I wake up every morning ready to go.”

The WBO Kids Drug Free Program Continues To Impact Puerto Rican Children

In a festive family atmosphere, Светска боксерска организација (ВБО), through its successful WBO Kids Drug Free program, delivered bicycles, school supplies and sporting goods to the children of Cubuy in the town of Canóvanas, Порторико.

Participating in the event were interim Latino WBO Heavyweight champion Víctor Bisbal, WBO Latino Jr. Welterweight champion Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres, WBO/NABO Jr. Flyweight champion Wilfredo “Bimbito” Méndez, WBO Latino Jr. Bantamweight Champion Yenifel Vicente, and WBO Latino Featherweight Champion Luis “Popeye” Lebrón. Other boxers who were present included Alberto Mercado and David Reyes and amateur boxer Armani “The Legacy” Alméstica.

Also in the event were managers Raúl Pastrana, Margaro Cruz and José Ortíz; coaches Jesís “Tongui” Ortiz, Yoel “Yowy” González, and Oro Lebrón. During the busy event that took place in the municipal boxing gym of Aguas Buenas, the children received backpacks with school supplies and sporting goods. Такође, motivational speeches were given, bicycles were raffled, and lunch was served for them.

Also in attendance was manager Orlando Piñero, trainers Álex Caraballo, Jesús “Tongui” Ortiz, Yoel “Yowy” González, Феликс Паган Пинтор, Armando Álamo, Efraín Román, Eliezer González and Edwin Delgado. ПОНЦЕ, Порторико – У емотивној и заузетој божићној активности, Светска боксерска организација (ВБО) и њен председник Франциско “Пацо” Валцарцел, у пратњи бивших светских првака, изгледи, ВБО Ворлд Јр. Шампион у полутешкој категорији Ангел Ацоста, регионални прваци, и друге личности из спорта делиле су поклоне деци у Центру Сор Исолина Ферре у Понцеу, у оквиру успешног светског програма „ВБО Кидс Друг Фрее“.

Емотивна сестра Милдред Васкез, Духовни директор центара Порторика, рекао: “ВБО и Пацо Валцарцел посвећени су нам око нас 20 године.Много је поклона који ће бити подељени осталим центрима које имамо у Порторику. Од првог дана, што је било давно, Сећам се да нам је Пацо рекао да нас ВБО никада неће заборавити. Његово дело је веома важно за све нас. Никада нећемо заборавити велику помоћ коју сте нам пружили тада нас је ураган Марија снажно ударио; веома смо захвални”.

Светски шампион Ангел “Тито” Рекао је Акоста: “Много деце је отишло задовољно својим поклонима и бициклима. Увек кажем младима да морају да побегну са улице да би се концентрисали на своје студије ”.

У активности су учествовали Ацоста, бивши професионални кошаркаш Јавиер “Тонито” Дебело црево, ВБО Латино шампион у перолакој категорији Луис”Попај” Леброн, ВБО привремени латино шампион у тешкој категорији Вицтор Бисбал, бивши светски шампион Самуел Серрано, Алек “Нене” Санцхез и Ангел “Цхоло” Еспада, заједно са боксером Алфредом “Салсеро” Цросс, Јохн М.. Kris Lawrence’s Heavyweight Factory Promotions is proud to announce the signing of undefeated welterweight power puncher Derrieck Cuevas (17-0-1, 14 КОс) на промотивном уговора.

 

 

 

Cuevas, from San Juan, Порторико, started boxing at the age of 10, after getting into frequent fights in the schoolyard. He went on to fight internationally and won the Puerto Rican National Amateur Championship at 132 кг., ending his unpaid career with a final record of 123-14.
