Devin Haney Becomes The Youngest Promoter in Boxing History

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 15, 2018) – Devin Haney Promotions, the promotional company owned by undefeated WBC Youth und bearbeiten Lightweight Champion, Devin “Der Traum” Haney (19-0, 13 KOs), was just granted a boxing promoter’s license by the California State Athletic Department (CSAC).

“Getting approved for my promoter’s license in California is something I envisioned since I turned professional,” said an elated Devin Haney, who now lives in Las Vegas. “Devin Haney Promotions will start doing shows on a modest scale that will eventually lead to mega events.”

 

 

 

“I already have a couple of young hungry prospects on my roster and will be looking to sign other talented fighters as we march forward,” Haney continued. “I plan to showcase some of the best fighters in boxing.”

“B Is For Boxing,” an illustrated children’s book which will help kids learn their A-B-Cs, is now in better bookstores everywhere.

Authored by ex world title challenger Dmitriy Salita, along with Hall of Fame publicist Bill Caplan and Michael Salita, Dmitriy’s brother, this book is an “outside the box” effort to get little ones on the road to mastering language basics.

“I have been boxing since I am 13 years old at Starrett City boxing club in Brooklyn,” Dmitriy Salita explains. “I love boxing and the many lessons it can teach. As a father I feel a responsibility to
present the educational aspects of the sport that I love in an interactive educational way. My brother and I came up with this idea and have worked on combining the alphabet with meaningful boxing terminology and historical events that is appealing and educational to both kids and adults!”

“A is for arena,” pint-sized learners are told, and the illustrations, by Elena Stekacheva, help budding readers cement the alphabet in their brains.

None other than former heavyweight champion George Foreman says this book is a knockout of a effort. “‘B Is For Boxing” is an interesting book and a fun way to interact with children,” says the ex pugilist who has ten children and 14 grand-children, “teaching them the alphabet and how to read.”

KEY WEST, Fla (September 6, 2015) -Box-Manager Si Stern, Präsident der SHS Boxing Verwaltung, entfernt im Alter von weitergegeben 81 am vergangenen Montag aufgrund von Komplikationen von einem Herzinfarkt.
Stern verwaltet drei Mal, Zwei-Teilung Randall “Die Knock Out König” Bailey, Veteran Schwergewicht Sherman “Tank” Williams, Marcus “Arilli” Upshaw und der ehemalige kubanische Olympiateilnehmer Robert Alfonso.
Ein sehr erfolgreicher Geschäftsmann, Williams explained that Stern also had a law degree and studied at one point to be a rabbi. Si recently returned from Romania, wo er unterstützt Williams in seinem Kampf, am Sonntag, August. 30 and he suffered a heart attack the following day at home in Key West. He was air lifted to a hospital in Miami, wo er für eine Woche, bevor er erlegen.
Bailey und Stern-Partner, Dave Johnson, zusammen mit Stern Sohn, Gary, und Tochter, Cynthia, were bedside in the hospital with Si for several days until the end. “Ich sprach mit Si am Sonntagabend (August 30) und bekam einen Anruf am nächsten Tag sprach er ins Krankenhaus eingeliefert worden,” Bailey erklärt. “Er erlitt einen schweren Herzinfarkt. Die Dinge waren nach oben und unten die ganze Woche, bis am vergangenen Wochenende.

“Si was a great guy and a good friend. As a manager, he always fought for his boxers. If nobody else cared, Si gepflegt; wenn sie es nicht tun konnte, Si would do it. I was with him nearly 10 years and nobody was throwing money our way. It was hard for us. I only made enough money in a few fights, wie wenn ich den WM-Titel gewonnen, where he took any money. Williams wurde von Stern für die Vergangenheit verwaltet 11 years and they had a special relationship. They had dinner together in Romania and flew back to the U.S., Anreise Sonntag, August 30.
“Si war viel mehr als mein Manager,” Williams offered. “Er war ein guter Freund, a zuversichtlich, dass ich mich immer verlassen konnte um Rat, in und aus dem Boxen. Si was an all-around good man. We had many deep discussion about politics and religion, mich, ein Christ und ein Jude Si, vor allem die Ausgaben so viele Tage zusammen in Rumänien.
“We all lost a good man in Si Stern. I was proud to be represented by Si. He wasn’t in boxing for the money. He was an important part of my life. He was always there for me and all of his fighters. Si never took a short cut or spared money. Si Stern was the best manager I ever had.”
