WASHINGTON, D.C. (Avril 2, 2016) – Quatre-division champion du monde Adrien “Le Problème” Broner didn’t have much of a problem beating and stopping Ashley “Le Trésor” Theophane at 1:10 in the ninth round dans l'événement principal de ce soir Premier Champions de boxe (PBC) sur Spike event in front of a sold out crowd of 8,172 à the DC Armory in Washington, D.C.

Broner came out in the early rounds showing his speed and versatility, only to be stymied by a game Theophane who showed his own array of boxing skills. Before long, Broner’s ring prowess proved to be too much for Theophane, as he landed power shots at will and began dominating. As Broner wore his opponent down it became easier for him to overpower Theophane and finally stop him in the ninth round.
“When people fight me, they come with their ‘A’ jeu, and he came with his ‘A’ jeu. But even his ‘A’ game wasn’t enough ce soir.
“As you know, I’ve been going through a lot and for me to come in here and bottle everything up and do what I did, I want to give myself a pat on the back.”
Theophane was disappointed and didn’t agree with the stoppage.
“I thought the stoppage was premature because I thought I was in the fight. Me and Broner were going at it. It looked like he was starting to get tired because he started to move around and wasn’t able to stay there with me as much.
“I thought the fight was back and forth and I think the next four rounds would have been the same. No way should the fight have gotten stopped. It’s a shame the referee did that. I was telling the referee, ‘I’m okay, I’m okay.’ Then he waived it off. I don’t know what he was thinking.”
Broner and Mayweather, who promotes Theophane, have been engaged in a war of words throughout the promotion. Broner challenged the 11-time world champion immediately following his victory.

Easter closed the show when he knocked down Mendez with a devastating one punch knock-out via a stiff right hand. Mendez got up from the knocked down but was unable to continue, forcing the referee to stop the contest.
“My performance was okay. I could have done better, mais je suis heureux. I got touched more than I expected. Once I settled down, I knew I was going to catch him. I had to stay patient.

“This was a huge opportunity for me and I’m just happy I got the knockout. For what it’s worth, Je me sens bien…at least physically I do. I’m pretty disappointed because of the way things turned out, but boxing is a difficult sport.
“I don’t have any excuses. I’m glad that I feel fine physically, that’s the most important thing right now. Robert Easter is a good fighter, he did really well and I wish him the best in his career.”

Davis continued his assault in the fifth when he landed a straight left hand to send Avila to the canvas. In the sixth and final round Davis came out of his corner and immediately jumped on his opponent causing the referee to halt the action.
“I knew he was a strong opponent. He kept bouncing back and I actually thought he was going to get up at the end too. He is very experienced and I thank him for taking the fight. He brought out the best in me.
“There is always room to get better and better, but this is another step toward my dream. I’m happy with my performance and it is even more special to have done it where I made my pro debut, so close to home.
“I’m happy I could get this victory for my team, Floyd Mayweather and everyone that supports me.”
“We prepared really well and think we did well,” said Avila “The cut came from a head-butt which complicated the situation for me as it didn’t let me see properly from that point forward. But it is what it is -he won. He’s good, and he hits hard.
“I appreciate everyone who was supporting me and my team. This is not the end of my career. I’m young and this is the type of sport where you just have to bounce back. We’re going to move on with our head up. There’s no other choice.”

Suppléant olympique, the 25-year-old Easter Jr. picked up four victories in 2015 including knockouts over Osumanu Akaba, Miguel Mendoza, Alejandro Rodriguez and Juan Ramon Solis. Another rising prospect at just 21-years-old, Harris has stayed busy since turning pro in June 2014 with a first-round stoppage of George Palmer. Most recently the Hyattsville, Maryland born fighter picked up victories over Irvin Hernandez, Rafael Vazquez, Carlos Acevedo and Sean Lockhart in 2015.
Laurier, Maryland’s Nicholson is another prospect that has been keeping busy since turning pro and will look for another great performance in front of a friendly D.C. foule. The 23-year-old impressively stopped veteran Milton Nunez in the first round of their October 2015 lutte.

“Même si je perdu contre Perez, Je l'ai pris comme une expérience d'apprentissage grand. Je ai beaucoup appris et vendredi, Il montrera. Je étais juste dans le camp avec Danny Garcia et je été super motivé.”
Maicelo est pas un combattant qui veut être protégé et dorloté pour revenir à la thèse, il veut gagner en luttant contre l'opposition de qualité supérieure.
“Lutter contre un gars comme Bennett sont les combats que je veux. Je veux montrer que je peux battre les gars avec de bons dossiers. Je pense qu'il se sent de la même façon. Je suis sûr qu'il sait que je ne suis pas un jeu d'enfant et qu'il est dans un combat difficile.”
Le 32 ans est inébranlable que d'être dans un disque de 12 rounds combat pour le titre va faire toute la différence vendredi.
“Je sens que je dois de toute l'expérience. Je me suis battu les gars plus sévères. Je été au niveau de classe mondiale et ce sera la différence. Je veux juste dire à tous mes fans du Pérou et ici que je donnerai 100 %. Cela n'a rien à voir avec Bennett, mais vendredi soir, Je vais être victorieux.”

Brandon Bennett prend Jonathan Maicelo en 10 rounds événement principal de ce vendredi soir à Walter E. Washington Convention Center à Washington, DC

Washington, DC (Août 25, 2015) Ce vendredi soir, Août 28 à la Walter E. Washington Convention Center, dans la capitale de la nation de Washington, DC, Promotions roi présenteront une nuit spectaculaire de la boxe qui mettra en vedette certains des meilleurs talents dans le États-Unis.

Dans l'événement principal, Brandon Bennett (19-1, 8 KO) se affronteront avec l'ancien challenger titre mondial Jonathan Maicelo (21-2, 12 KO) dans un combat léger prévu pour 10 rounds-.

Bennett de Cincinnati, Ohio a été dur entraînement pour Maicelo, qui a contesté pour un titre intérimaire mondial.

“La formation a été bonne. Je été sur le poids pour quelques jours. C'était 2 mois difficile, mais la partie difficile de la formation et les régimes amaigrissants est terminée et je suis prêt à se battre,” Saïd Bennett.

Lorsqu'on l'interroge sur Maicelo, Bennett n'a pas été préoccupé par son adversaire, malgré Maicelo ayant plus de victoires Art Hovhannisyan et ancien challenger titre mondial Fernando Angulo.

“Il est un combattant orthodoxe. Il aime à venir et il aime à Counter Punch. Il peut avoir combattu pour le titre mais je suis le combattant plus expérimenté. Je me suis battu de bons gars et je obtenir le meilleur sparring. Tout cela n'a pas d'importance, parce que à la fin de la journée,, nous devons nous battre. ”

Bennett se rend compte que d'une victoire sur Maicelo va le pousser très proche d'un combat pour un titre mondial et une victoire vendredi lui donnera une autre victoire de la qualité à ajouter à son CV.

“Espérons que dans le prochain combat ou deux, Je vais être en position. Le battre aurait dû me considéré comme un sérieux prétendant.”

Si tel est le cas, Bennett se joindra gymnase camarades et les amis proches, Adrien Broner et Rau'Shee Warren que le prochain combat de formateur, Cincinnati gymnase de Mike Stafford se battre pour un titre mondial. Bennett obtient sparring de classe mondiale et des conseils tous les jours de Broner, un champion du monde à trois divisions et Warren, un temps de trois U.S. Olympien et challenger titre mondial.

Les trois ont été inséparables depuis deux décennies

“Je suis entré dans la boxe à l'âge de huit. Je suis un joueur de football. Rau'shee vivait dans la rue de moi et m'a demandé de marcher jusqu'à la salle de gym avec lui. Il avait déjà été la boxe et Mike Stafford nous a demandé de se bagarrer. Il a obtenu le meilleur de moi ce jour-là mais je colle à la peau. Ironiquement, Adrien est venu le lendemain et a commencé la boxe dès le lendemain et Rau'shee sparred avec lui ainsi. Être autour d'eux est certainement une source d'inspiration. Je vois ce que mes amis ont fait et accompli et je sais que je vais être le prochain à avoir les honneurs.”
