NATIONAL HARBOR (Mars 11, 2019) – Exciting super welterweight contender Jamontay Clark joins the Peterson brothers on a Premier Boxing Champions on FS1 and FOX Deportes show on Sunday, Mars 24 from MGM National Harbor in Maryland.

Clarkwill take on Vernon Brown of Chicago in a 10-round super welterweight match that will open the broadcast at 8 p.m. ET / 5 h, heure. ET. Three-Hour Premier Boxing Champions Show Features Jamal James Delivering Second Round Knockout of Mahonry Montes in Front of Hometown Crowd Friday Night on FS1 & FOX Deportes from The Armory in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (Août 24, 2018) – Welterweight Jamal James (24-1, 11 KOs)gave his hometown crowd a treat as he sent Mahonry Montes (35-8-1, 24 KOs)to the canvas for a second round knockout in the main event of a jam-packed three-hour night of Premier Champions de boxe action Friday fromthe Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

 

 

“I came out here to make a statement and I’m even happier to be able to do it right here at home,” a déclaré James. “The support in Minnesota is amazing and it gave me the extra motivation to get the job done in spectacular fashion. Everyone knows I attack the body and tonight I was able to use it to get the finish”

 

 

 

In his second straight fight at the Armory, James made a statement by quickly dispatching Mexico’s Montes with a punishing left hook to the body that left his opponent crumpled on the canvas.

MINNEAPOLIS (Août 8, 2018) – An already stacked card is expanding to a three-hour telecast with exciting showdowns presented by Premier Boxing Champions as rising unbeaten 2016 Olympian Eimantas Stanionis faces the toughest test of his young career when he battles Levan Ghvamichava and explosive heavyweight prospect Efe Ajagba steps into the ring looking to deliver another knockout performance live on FS1 and FOX Deportes Friday, Août 24 de l'armurerie de Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Originally from the nation of Georgia but now fighting out of California, Ghvamichava (18-3-1, 13 KOs) has had his last four fights appear on FS1 and FOX Deportes broadcasts as he’s challenged former champion Sergey Lipinets and top contender Yordenis Ugas, while picking up victories over Oscar Molina and Breidis Prescott. The 33-year-old was unbeaten in seven straight fights after his first defeat in 2013.

Coached by renowned trainer Ronnie Shields in Houston, Ajagba (5-0, 5 KOs) has been impressive since turning pro after representing his native Nigeria in the 2016 Jeux olympiques. The 24-year-old has five knockout victories in five pro fights so far, with only one opponent reaching the second round.

Truax (29-4-2, 18 KOs) became just the third Minnesota-born fighter to win a world title when he went on the road to the UK last December and defeated James DeGale in one of the biggest upsets of 2017. The Osseo-product lost a close decision in the rematch to DeGale in April and will return to action to take on the 30-year-old Pena (15-10-1, 11 KOs), who has faced numerous top contenders including Jose Uzcategui, Joe Smith Jr. and Tureano Johnson to name a few.

Jacques (23-1, 10 KOs) built on the biggest victory of his career – a knockout over tough veteran Diego Chaves last December – with a decision win against Abel Ramos in April at the Armory and on FS1. The 30-year-old James has picked up three-straight victories since suffering the only loss of his career – a unanimous decision defeat to Yordenis Ugas in August 2016. He returns to downtown Minneapolis looking to keep his momentum going towards the top of the welterweight division.

 

 

 

“I’m in camp training hard for another thriller at home against a pressure fighter in Mahonry Montes,” a déclaré James. “I’m going to use my height, range and skills to show that I’m hungry and keeping my eyes on the prize. A two-time title challenger, Monroe (22-3, 6 KOs) has faced current titlists Gennady Golovkin and Billy Joe Saunders in his forays into championship fights. The 31-year-old from Rochester, New York has defeated Gabriel Rosado, Brian Vera and John Thompson since 2015 to earn multiple opportunities at the middleweight title. Monroe most recently won a dominant decision over Carlos Galvan in March.

 

 

 

Fighting out of Virginia, Aleem (18-1-1, 11 KOs) stopped Juan De Angel in the sixth-round of their May fight to get back in the win column after his first defeat in a bout against Hugo Centeno Jr last August. The 24-year-old had stopped then unbeaten Ievgen Khytrov in the sixth round of a January 2017 fight that became a Fight of the Year nominee prior to the Centeno fight.

 

 

 

Le 23-year-old Clark (13-0, 7 KOs) has used his height and reach to establish himself as a fast-rising prospect on his way to contender status. The Cincinnati-native had two impressive victories in 2017, first defeating then unbeaten Ivan Golub and then a decision victory over Domonique Dolton last November as he came out victorious against his toughest pro opponent so far.

 

Chapelet (15-1-1, 11 KOs) fights out of Miami but is originally from the Dominican Republic. Rosario suffered his first defeat last year at the hands of Nathaniel Gallimore, but has rebounded to be undefeated in his last four fights. This run has seen the 23-year-old fight to a draw with Mark Anthony Hernandez in February before defeating Justin DeLoach and dropping him twice on his way to a decision victory in May.

LOS ANGELES (Juillet 28, 2018) – Mikey Garcia became the 10e lightweight champion to unify the division with a unanimous decision against Robert Easter Jr. Saturday on SHOWTIME, and immediately afterward set his sights on boxing’s best, namely Errol Spence Jr.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of Garcia,118-109, 117-110, 116-111, in an electrifying fight in front of 12,560 fans at Staples Center in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

 

 

 

 

The four-division world champion Garcia (39-0, 30 KOs) – who was fighting in his native Southern California for the first time in seven years – keeps his 135-pound WBC title, and also claims Easter’s IBF Lightweight belt

 

 

 

 

“I’m here for the biggest challenges,”A déclaré Garcia, 30, who unified a title for the first time in his career. “I don’t know if there is anyone that is a bigger challenge than Errol Spence. I know he’s up to fight everyone so let’s make it happen. I think it can be made. I think that’s the next big fight coming up.

 

 

 

 

“I feel I have the power and the skillset to compete in any division up to welterweight. He’s the toughest guy at welterweight so I want to face him.”

 

 

 

 

Garcia scored a knock down in the third round against Easter (21-1, 14 KOs) de Tolède, Ohio, who was sent to the canvas for just the second time in his career. A strong right jab put Easter out of position, immediately followed by a devastating left hook sent Easter down with 24 seconds remaining in the round.

 

 

 

 

Garcia got better as the fight progressed. In the final four rounds Garcia out-landed Easter 95-34 in total punches and ended the fight being the more active fighter throwing 555 punches to Easter’s 507. He connected on nearly 40 percent of his power shots while Easter landed at a 24 percent clip.

 

 

 

 

“It’s a great accomplishment being here in L.A.,” Garcia said. “I was in control most of the fight, and I did what I had to do. I knew he was a tough opponent. He’s a tough warrior. He gave a great fight but I was a better fighter. I was in control of the fight and I did what I had to do to win.”

 

 

 

 

Pâques, who went into the Garcia locker room after the fight to congratulate his opponent, was gracious in defeat.

 

 

 

 

“Whenever we step in the ring we are both putting our lives on the line and tonight Mikey was victorious,” said Easter, who entered the fight as the longest reigning champion at 135 livres. “I just couldn’t find the timing and I just couldn’t let my right hand go. He caught me with a clean shot and I went down, but I got up like a true champion.”

 

 

 

 

 

During an interview at the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING host desk, Spence, a fellow top-five pound-for-pound great, said he would “definitely” welcome a fight with Garcia. “I feel like that’s the best fight available for me right now with Shawn [Porter] and Danny [Garcia] fighting in September. Keith Thurman is still recovering and needs a tune up.

“He’s daring to be great, he wants to be great, he wants to move up and dethrone me and it’s not going to happen. It’s definitely going to be an easy fight. [Garcia] will be pound-for-pound No. 1 if he beats me. He has great skills but I see myself winning. I don’t really see anything that concerns me. He’s technically good, but I don’t see him hurting me at 147.”

 

 

 

 

Heavyweight southpaw Luis Ortiz (29-1, 25 KOs) returned to the ring with a resounding victory, scoring a devastating second round knockout (2:08) of former world title challenger Razvan Cojanu (16-4, 9 KOs)

Both fighters were coming off losses in heavyweight world title fights. Ortiz was fighting for the first time since challenging Deontay Wilder in a 2018 Combat de la candidate année. Barrios ended the round with a flurry of punches that left Roman stunned.

 

 

 

 

 

The 23-year-old Barrios sent Roman down again with 1:38 remaining in the eighth round. Roman survived the round, but his corner refused to answer the bell and the fight was over.

 

 

 

 

“I feel I’m ready [for a title shot)],” Barrios said. “I feel strong. I feel fast. Je suis jeune, but whatever my managers throw at me I’m ready. If I could get it tomorrow, I’d take it.”

“Moi et Robert Easter Jr. sont les champions que invaincue dans la division. Donc, à mes yeux, le gagnant est le meilleur combattant de la division.

 

 

 

“Je suis très heureux de se battre à nouveau à Los Angeles. Cela fait sept ans que je me suis battu ici. Pour donner aux fans la chance de voir ce grand combat en direct au STAPLES Center est une bonne chose. Je suis très reconnaissant que nous pourrions avoir le combat ici. La plupart des adversaires ne seraient pas venus ici.

 

 

 

“Je reviens au STAPLES Center en tant que champion du monde et j'ai une chance d'unifier dans ma ville natale. Il n'y a rien de mieux que je pouvais demander. Je vais faire tout ce que je peux pour sortir victorieux samedi soir.

 

 

 

“Je suis heureux que Robert est confiant à venir dans ce combat. Je crois qu'il montrera la meilleure version possible de lui-même. Voilà ce qui me devient encore plus motivé et excité pour ce combat.

“Je ne vois vraiment pas attention à être « négligé’ ou ce que mes adversaires disent menant à un combat. En Juillet 28 il nous reste à obtenir là-bas et jeter ces mains. Rien dit par lui ou quelqu'un dehors qui me dérange du tout.

 

 

 

“Le seul grand nom Mikey Garcia a battu est Adrien Broner. Je vais lui donner des problèmes. Je crois avec nos compétences et enregistrer, le vainqueur de ce combat est le meilleur combattant dans la catégorie de poids.

“Tout le monde sera en mesure de voir mon salaire de travail hors samedi soir. Je ne suis pas celui qui aime parler, Je veux montrer à tous ce que je suis.

 

 

 

“Ce sont le genre de combats que j'ai toujours voulu être une partie de. Il est un grand combat que je sais que les fans vont vraiment profiter. Je vais leur donner quelque chose à retenir.

 

 

 

“Être l'outsider est ce qu'il est. Un seul d'entre nous peut être le favori. Nous avons fait ce que nous devions faire pour se préparer à ce combat et en Juillet 28 vous verrez tout cela en action.”

“dans un combat Il y a toujours le risque. Nous sommes très bien préparés pour ce grand défi et Mikey est dans un lieu mental. Pâques est un grand gars qui je suis sûr va essayer d'utiliser sa portée et combattre de l'extérieur. Mais nous serons prêts pour tout ce qu'il apporte.

 

 

 

“Ceci est évidemment un grand combat pour Mikey contre un autre boxeur d'élite. Quand deux gars invaincus unifient, il est toujours grand. Nous avons eu beaucoup de sparring partners qui ont préparé Mikey être à son meilleur.

 

 

 

“Nous sommes prêts pour le meilleur Robert Pâques possible. Je ne cherche pas même à ses deux dernières performances. Nous avons fait ce que nous devions faire pour être prêt pour ce combat et la meilleure version de notre adversaire.”

“Ma faim et la motivation pour devenir champion du monde n'a pas changé du tout. Mon adversaire est très grand, mais dans tout le monde en anneau est la même taille. Nous allons être intelligent et je vais faire mon travail le samedi soir.

 

 

 

“La lutte Wilder est ce qu'il est. Il est passé maintenant, et je ne le regrette pas. A la fin de la journée, je veux que le match retour et je crois que je méritais le match retour. Ils sont toujours en cours d'exécution de moi et ils courent évidemment de Wilder, mais je suis en cours d'exécution de ne.

 

 

 

“Une victoire samedi soir me remettre en ligne pour le match revanche avec Deontay Wilder. Le combat est ce que je sais comment faire, et c'est ce que je viens de le faire le samedi soir. Nous sommes tous les deux faim pour une victoire et nous verrons qui vient en tête.

 

 

 

“J'ai appris que je dois former encore plus difficile, combattre plus difficile, jeter de plus en plus se connecter. Si je ne l'avais pas été fatigué, Je serais encore le frapper aujourd'hui. J'ai jeté l'horloge loin à la salle de gym. Nous allons être plus intelligent à l'avenir.”

“Je suis très prêt pour ce match. Quand nous sommes arrivés à cet appel, J'étais déjà en forme. Nous devions juste faire l'ajustement à la lutte contre un gaucher. Nous avons environ un mois de sparring vraiment amusant menant à ce combat.

 

 

 

“Je me sens très à l'aise contre le gaucher, en particulier celui que tout le monde connaît comme Ortiz. Je sais que j'ai les compétences nécessaires pour ramener à la maison la victoire.

 

 

 

“Le Wilder vs. lutte Ortiz était un grand combat et je le félicite pour cette performance. J'ai vu beaucoup de choses que je peux exposer. La chose principale est l'une-deux forte combinaison qui lui donne du mal.”

 

MARIO BARRIOS

 

 

 

“Ceci est sans aucun doute le test le plus difficile de ma carrière. Je suis très heureux d'avoir ce grand combat. Cela va être la performance en petits groupes que j'ai cherché.

 

 

 

“Quel que soit le titre est disponible pour moi est le titre que nous irons après. Peu importe qui je dois faire face, Je serai prêt. Je Gunning pour le meilleur.

 

 

 

“Ceci est une excellente occasion de faire mes débuts sur Showtime. Ceci est une carte remplie de talent, mais je prévois de voler le spectacle. Je vais montrer à tous le genre de combat que je suis.

 

 

 

“Je sais que Roman va venir se battre, mais je suis si. Je ne peux pas attendre de se battre dans ce bâtiment. Tous les grands noms ont combattu ici et je ne peux pas attendre pour mettre un grand spectacle.”

“Quartiers’ meilleure arme serait sa vitesse et sa portée et je pense que nous avons le plan de jeu parfait pour s'y opposer. Je sais que je dois être patient là-bas parce que j'ai un adversaire difficile. Je le fais pour ma famille et personne ne peut me arrêter.

 

 

 

“Une victoire sur Mario Barrios serait énorme pour moi. Les fans peuvent venir y attendre une guerre entre deux guerriers mexicains qui laissera tout dans le ring.

 

 

 

“Quand je ne me bats pas, je vais Chypre College et avec spécialisation en mathématiques. Je suis vraiment bon en maths depuis que je suis enfant. Je suis sur une grande piste en ce moment dans ma carrière de boxe et dans la vie.”

“Ceci est une partie supérieure à la carte étonnante fond. Il est un lieu de prise spectaculaire de la boxe ici au STAPLES Center. Nous avons un peu de tout sur cette carte.
