Rodriguez’ original raqibi, “Lil” Oscar Cantu (14-1, 1 KO), was injured in a car accident only days before the scheduled event.
Rodriguez, 23, won his first world title in 2014, stopping previously unbeaten Merlito Sabillo (23-0-1), the defending WBO minimumweight title fight in Mexico, ichida 10thdumaloq. Later that same year, Rodriguez successfully defended his WBO crown with a 12-round unanimous decision over IBF minimumweight title holder Katsunari Takayama (27-6) to become unified world champion. Olympic bronze medalist Nico Hernandez Riding on the fast track

Las Vegas, (Iyun 26, 2017) — Fresh off his sensational stoppage of previously undefeated Jose “Mexican Diablo” Rodriguez, 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Niko Ernandes is riding the fast track to stardom on an exciting journey that’s just really started.

Because Hernandez fights in the featherweight division, which is void of overwhelming talent and lacks top-notch Americans, along with his amateur pedigree and experience fighting boxers with different styles, Hernandez can likely crack the world ratings this year, possibily getting a world title shot in 2018.
“I did my thing tonight,” Hernandez said after his June 17th jang. “I’ve fought the best at the Olympics, so I wasn’t worried about what he (Rodriguez) u qilgan. This fight was a little personal because he’d said he was knocking me out. I got tired of him and went into the ring trying to take him out. We can be friends now.

“Nico was great in his last fight and everybody is seeing what we want to do with him,” Hernadez’ Promouter John Andersen (KO Tungi boks) mashhur. “We need to step up the competition for him in his next fight, which will probably be his last six-round bout. Las Vegas, (Dekabr 17, 2016) – Tonight’s final round of the 2016 “Knockout Night at the D” series ended in typical style as “Mighty” Aston Palicte won a 10-round split decision over previously undefeated “Lil'” Oscar Cantu in a terrific super flyweight match from start to finish inside the Downtown Las Vegas Tadbirlar markazi indoor facility.

The Palicte vs. Cantu main event, as expected, was a classic match-up of contrasting styles between a dangerous puncher (Palicte) and consummate boxer (Cantu). There was surprising non-stop action from the opening bell. Power punching Palicte (22-2, 18 KOS) pressed the action as the clear aggressor, but Cantu stood in the pocket, ham, as the technician used his defensive skills to make things difficult for his world rated Filipino opponent.
Oxir oqibatda, it all came down to the 10th dumaloq, which Palicte swept on all three judges’ scorecards for a hard-fought split decision victory by scores of 98-92, 96-94, 94-96. Gallimore hurt Baez midway through the opening round and then closed the show with vicious left to the liver that dropped Baez to his knees. In obvious pain, he was unable to get to his feet before the 10 count.
Galiimore (pictured above in green), who fights out of Chicago, dedicated the fight to his stablemate, kech Ed Brown (20-0), who was murdered earlier this month. “I saw a tape of him (Baez) and knew he backed up to the ropes,” Gallimore explained the finish. “I practiced that shot in the gym and I’m very happy with the outcome. I told all my teammates back in Chicago that I was dedicating this fight to Ed Brown.”
Los Angeles junior middleweight Flavio Rodriguez (6-0, 5 KOS) kept his undefeated record intact against previously unbeaten Mexican fighter Dilan “El Tremendo” Loza(5-1, 3 KOS) in the television opener. Rodriguez, who one point during his 4 1/2-year hiatus from the ring weighed 90 pounds more than he entered the ring tonight, won by way of a third-round technical knockout. Loza was hurt by an accidental shot to the base of his head in the third and he was later dropped in the same round by the heavy-handed Rodriguez. Hakam Jay Nady halted the bout after the third round.

“Ko'pincha,” Rodriguez said, “he didn’t do anything different. I thought I controlled the fight with my jab. My boy, Sher (Santa Cruz, friends from LA), was a world champion and I want to get to his level.”
In a battle of unbeaten welterweight prospects, mamlakatni sevimli Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (7-0-1, 2 KOS) and San Diego’s Kevin “KO” Ottley (3-0-1) fought to a 6-round draw.

Fast moving Moreno won his eighth fight in nine months, to'xtatish “Pul” Mike Fowler (5-4, 2 KOS) to'rtinchi turda. Moreno improves each fight, showing incredible poise for a 21-year old boxer, and he legitimately rates as a national prospect to watch.

Ornelas dropped Jorge Perez (6-5-1, 3 KOS) in the second round on his way to a shutout decision over four rounds. The 18-year-old Ornelas recorded the seventh win of his 6-month pro career.

Cantu vs. Palicte will be contested for two belts as Cantu defends his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight championship, in addition to the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight title.
Rated No. 4 Jahon boks kengashi tomonidan (WBC) as a flyweight, the 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO) will face the toughest test of his 4+-years professional career in the heavy-handed Palcite, but he’s excited to be headlining this nationally televised show from Las Vegas.

Palicte (21-2, 18 KOS) is a dangerous Filipino fighter who is world rated at No. 11 Xalqaro boks federatsiyasi tomonidan (IBF) va. 15 WBO tomonidan. Now training in Los Angeles, Palicte is looking forward to making his American debut Dec. 17.

Through my promoter, RJJ, it was mentioned that there’s a big possibility for a world title challenge in 2017 if I win this fight. I’ve fought some quality fighters and I think I can do what I want in the ring, though I won’t say it’s going to be easy to control the fight.”
Styles made fights and a classic match-up between a consummate boxer (Cantu) and powerful puncher (Palicte) guarantees an intriguing fight that should be highly entertaining and incredibly competitive. Both fighters also respect each other.
“Palicte brings an impressive record and a lot of experience,” Cantu noted. “The road to a world title is a tough one, which means no easy opponents. I am really excited about this challenge. This is a classic fight because of our styles and I am sure we won’t let the viewing public down. I am ready to become the next great American champion in this weight class.”
“Cantu is a smart boxer,” Palicte added. “I’d compare him to Ismael Garnica, who I fought in our Showdown at Sands in Macau. (Palicte won by way of a seventh-round TKO.) U (Cantu) is kind of a runner, ham, always moving around the ring, but we can never tell one’s ability until we’ve fought.

Oscar Cantu vs. Aston Palicte Twin-title fight headlines Dec. 17th “Knockout Night at the D” karta

Las Vegas, (Dekabr 1, 2016) – A super flyweight twin-title fight between undefeated Oscar Cantu va “Mighty” Aston Palicte headlines the final 2016 installment of the popular “Knockout Night at the D” qator shanba kuni tun, Dekabr 17, jonli shamollatish (7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. VA) bo'yicha CBS Sport Network from inside the Downtown Las Vegas Tadbirlar markazi indoor facility, located in the heart of the downtown Las Vegas casino district, one block away from the world famous Fremont Street (200 S. 3rd St.).

Cantu will defend his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight title against Palicite. The vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight championship will also be contested in the 10-round main event.
“The Cantu-Palicte fight is a classic match-up between a boxer and puncher,” Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions co-founder/CEO Keyt Veltre dedi. “It’s for two title belts and the winner will be positioned for a possible world title shot in 2017. Our final event of the year promises to be our best yet with evenly matched, entertaining fights that our ‘Knockout Night at the D’ series is known for with Ertangi stars up-and-down the card.”
The “Knockout Night at the D” qator, tomonidan taqdim D Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions.
Jim “J.R.” Ross va Joey Varner will call the action live from ringside, paytda Jeff Huston will be the ring announcer and fight week master of ceremonies.
The 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO), fighting out of Kingsville, Texas, is a pure boxer who is the reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) chempioni, tartib No. 3 by the WBO North American Boxing Organization (Qo'shnilari) va. 6 by the NABA. He is a belt collector having been the former NABF Junior super flyweight, Jahon boks kengashi (WBC) Youth Intercontinental bantamweight and World Boxing Council (WBC) United States super flyweight title holder.
Uning oxirgi bahsda, this past May at home in Kingsville, Cantu captured the vacant NABF flyweight title with a 10-round split decision victory over Samuel Gutierrez. Cantu’s most notable win to date is a 10-round split decision against previously undefeated Juan Antonio Lopez (10-0) ichida 2014 for the vacant WBC Youth Intercontinental bantamweight crown.
Palicte, who will be making his US debut Dec. 17 having resettled in Los Angeles, where he’s training at the famed Wild Card Gym, to enhance his boxing career. Palicte has fought only once outside of his native Philippines as a professional. He has an experience advantage over Cantu in terms of fighting higher quality opponents. World rated at No. 11 Xalqaro boks federatsiyasi tomonidan (IBF) va. 15 WBO tomonidan, Palicte captured the vacant IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight championship this past June in his most recent fight, to'xtatish Vergilio Silvano (21-6-1) in the seventh round of their rematch, which was also won by Palicte via a 12-round unanimous decision a year ago for the vacant WBO Oriental super flyweight title.
The heavy-handed Palicte, who has knocked out 18 uning 21 victims, is rated No. 5 by the NABF and No. 15 by the NABA. Palicte, 25, also owns his share of title belts, including the IBF Youth super flyweight strap. In Palicte’s only pro fight outside of his native Philippines, he lost a highly disputed 10-round split decision (97-94, 93-97, 94-97) last March to local favorite Junior Granados (14-4-1) Meksikada.
