Heute früher, die Kampfförderung kündigte die Aufnahme eines professionellen Federgewichtskampfes auf die Karte an.Aaron „unerbittlich“ Lacey(6-2) wird voraussichtlich zu treffen„Ihr wahrhaftig“ Chris Herd(2-3) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 145 Pfund.

Es wird gewesen sein 19 Monate, seit Aaron Lacey das letzte Mal als Konkurrent in den NEF-Käfig getreten ist. Lacey besiegt Veteran Jon Lemke (7-9) im Main Event von "NEF 35" im September 2018. Er hat seitdem nicht mehr gekämpft, da er sich später im Herbst verletzt hat. Ein ehemaliger NEF Amateur-Champion im Federgewicht, Lacey startete seine Profikarriere perfekt 4-0 vor dem Gehen 2-2 in seinen letzten vier Kämpfen. Er wird versuchen, sein Comeback am 18. April erfolgreich zu machen. Lacey vertritt Youngs MMA mit Sitz im nahe gelegenen Bangor, Maine.

„Ich bin so aufgeregt, wieder an meinem glücklichen Ort zu sein,“, rief Aaron Lacey aus.  „Matt (Peterson, NEF Miteigentümer und Heiratsvermittler) hat wirklich hart gearbeitet, um mir einen Kampf um diese Karte zu verschaffen, und ich bin unendlich dankbar! April 18th „Unerbittliche“ Rückkehr!"

Lacey Gegner, Chris Herd, wird die 1.000-Meilen-Reise von seinem Haus in Wilmington aus machen, North Carolina für den Kampf. Herd hatte eine herausragende Amateurkarriere, Gehen 5-0 mit vier Knockouts und einer Einreichung und dem Gewinn einer regionalen Meisterschaft auf dem Weg. Seine beiden Siege als Profi waren Erstrunden-Erfolge mit einem technischen Knockout und einem Submission. Herd repräsentiert derzeit Brunsons MMA & Fitness in Wilmington, North Carolina.

„Kein Mann kann mich ohne meine Erlaubnis anfassen,“, sagte Herd, als er um einen Kommentar gebeten wurde.  „Dieser Kampf wird dahin gehen, wo ich ihn haben will, und ich werde es nach Belieben beenden.“

FORMER FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION RETURNING TO NEF CAGE AFTER FOUR-YEAR ABSENCE

Heute früher, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur flyweight bout to the card.Dustin Veinott(5-4) dauert anSteve Desjardins(5-4) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 125 pounds. The bout will be a rematch of their previous encounter in February 2014 won by Desjardins via unanimous decision.

Dustin Veinott will be returning to the NEF cage for the first time since the spring of 2016 when he defeated Ryan Burgess (3-2) by second-round submission. He is the former NEF Amateur Flyweight Chamion, a belt he won over Norman Fox (jetzt 0-1 als Berufs) at “NEF 18” in 2015. Veinott has spent the last several years training fighters as the Muay Thai coach at Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) in Lewiston, Maine. He is looking forward to the opportunity to redeem himself after his first encounter with Desjardins.

“After being gone for almost four years due to unforeseen circumstances, Ich bin wieder da,” exclaimed Veinott.  “I respect my opponent, Stephen Desjardins. He has a great wrestling base, and he has already beat me once. I am a different animal now, obwohl. I am here to pick back up where I left off. I’m back and I’m here to make a statement.”

Steve Desjardins is a longtime veteran of the New England MMA scene with an amateur career stretching back to 2011. He made his triumphant return to NEF last fall in Orono after a five-year hiatus, defeating Dillon Henry (0-4) at “NEF 40.” Desjardins then took on Nate Boucher (jetzt 0-1 als Berufs) in a losing effort attempting to capture the amateur flyweight strap at “NEF 41” in November.   Desjardins is currently an independent fighter based out of nearby Brewer, Maine.

“I am thrilled to be fighting again in my backyard and to be putting on a great fight with another tough guy,” said Desjardins.  “Don’t miss it!"

Heute früher, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur featherweight bout to the card.Brandon „BAMF“ Maillet-Fevens(3-1) konfrontiert sein wirdNathaniel Grimard(1-0) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 145 Pfund.

Brandon Maillet-Fevens made his amateur debut at “NEF 36” in November 2018, losing via submission in the first round. Since that time, Maillet-Fevens has not looked back. He went on a three-fight win-streak in 2019, finishing all three of his opponents in the process. Most recently, Maillet-Fevens was successful over Tyler Knights (0-1) with a second-round submission at “NEF 41” last November. He currently represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) mit Sitz in Lewiston, MICH.

“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to once again get back in the NEF cage,” said Maillet-Fevens. “I think Nathaniel presents some challenges I haven’t had to deal with yet, but we’ve been hard at work improving every aspect of my game and I’m going to be comfortable wherever the fight goes. I’m looking forward to putting on a good fight for the fans and showcasing what CMBJJ is all about!"

Nathaniel Grimard impressed many with his first-round armbar submission of Justin Kangas (0-3) last September at “NEF 40” in what was Grimard’s cage debut. That fight took place within the 155-pound lightweight division. Grimard feels the ten-pound drop to featherweight will further benefit his comfort level in the cage. He represents Nostos MMA of Somersworth, New Hampshire where he trains under UFC veteran and former NEF Professional Lightweight Champion Devin Powell (10-4).

“I’m excited for this opportunity NEF has given me to fight a very game opponent in April,“ sagte Grimard.  “I am stepping in the cage more comfortable and prepared this time at a weight class I belong. With both of us having finished our past opponents, I expect Brandon to bring it in April, and I think it’s going to be a great and exciting fight.”

Grace Nowak ist eine langjährige Veteranin des MMA-Käfigs im Nordosten der USA, Nachdem sie 2010 ihr Amateur-Debüt gegeben hatte. Während ihrer gesamten Karriere, Nowak hat regelmäßig in Connecticut gekämpft, Massachusetts, und New York. Nowak vertritt Behring Jiu-Jitsu mit Sitz in Watertown, New York. Der April 18 Die Veranstaltung wird nicht nur das erste Mal sein, dass Nowak in Maine gekämpft hat, aber auch das erste Mal hat sie den Pine Tree State besucht.

FRED LEAR RETURNS TO THE MMA CAGE AT NEF 43 IN ORONO

The event, mit dem Titel „NEF 43: Randale,Wird am Samstag stattfinden, April 18, 2020, mit einer Glockenzeit von 7 Uhr EDT. Heute früher, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional bantamweight bout to the card.Fred Lear (0-1) dauert anJason Rine (1-7) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 135 Pfund.

Fred Lear, who wrestled and played football for John Bapst Memorial High School in nearby Bangor, Maine, had one of the most successful amateur careers in NEF history. Lear finished his amateur career in 2019 mit einem Rekord von 6-2-1 and an NEF Amateur Bantamweight Title to his credit. He entered the professional ranks last April in Portland, Maine, losing his debut to Bryant Bullock (2-1) via second-round submission. Lear experienced a disappointing setback when an opponent pulled out on him the night before weigh-ins at “NEF 40” last September. The Young’s MMA product will now look for the first win of his professional career on April 18 against Rine.

“2019 and the September fight card were difficult for me, but I wasn’t going to let it get in the way of supporting my team,” said Lear. “I feel as though people have forgotten who I am and what I’m here to do. Jason Rine is a Bellator vet and a consummate professional. I’m here, Ich bin hungrig, and April 18th I’m making the walk and leaving my mark.”

Jason Rine is indeed a Bellator veteran, having competed on the Bellator 215 card last year. Based out of Fredericktown, Ohio, Rine has become well-known throughout the New England region in recent years, traveling in to fight on many area events. While his record may appear on the surface to be that of a journeyman, Rine has taken nothing but tough bouts throughout his professional career, always showing up to fight. April 18 will see him make his debut with NEF.

“I’m very excited to come to Maine and fight for NEF against a game opponent in Fred Lear,” stated Rine when reached for comment.  “I’m ready to test myself in a new promotion in a new state. Time for a fresh start and a new beginning.”

ZAC RICHARD RETURNS TO NEF CAGE IN LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION AGAINST BRANDON SEWALL

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Orono, Maine (Juli 19, 2019) - New England Fights (NEF) will debut in Orono on September 7, 2019 at the Collins Center for the Arts with the promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 40: School of Hard Knocks.” Bereits heute Morgen, NEF announced the addition of an amateur lightweight bout to the card. Zac Richard (3-2-1) treffen Brandon Sewall (0-1) bei einem Kampfgewicht von 155 Pfund.

Zac Richard has competed twice previously in the lightweight division, winning both fights in 2018. That same year, Richard was voted “Rookie des Jahres” by NEF fans. He has yet to taste victory in 2019 with all three of his fights this year thus far taking place in the 145-pound featherweight division. Richard went to a five-round draw with Fred Lear for the amateur featherweight championship last February in what has been a leading contender for “Kampf des Jahres” in 2019. On September 7, Richard will look to bounce back from back-to-back losses in his two most recent fights this spring. At “NEF 38,” Richard dropped a five-round unanimous decision to Tom Pagliarulo (3-1) prior to losing via first-round submission to Miguel Cuevas (6-1) im Juni.

“I’m very excited to get back in there after coming off two losses a month apart,” said Richard.  “I’m extremely unhappy with my fight against Tom—I definitely can’t have another off-day on fight day again. I’ve made a lot of changes to make myself happier with my life. The grind is different now.”

“Having watched Zac compete since he was a child during his youth wrestling days, I’ve seen how he navigates challenges,” bemerkte NEF-Miteigentümer und Matchmaker Matt Peterson.  “He doesn’t look for the easy way out—he’s a born competitor and he always seeks out the toughest opponents. Whether it was in wrestling or now in MMA, he comes to fight. I have no doubt that he will be on the warpath on September 7th, looking to get back to his winning ways.”

Zac Richard has drawn a big one for his return to the lightweight division. Brandon Sewall stands 6’1,” towering over most others in the weight class. The resident of Bath, Maine will look for his first win in the NEF cage after losing his debut to Jimmy Jackson (4-3) letzten Monat auf “NEF 39.”

“It is going to be simple – locate him, get at him, and strike him as hard as I can,” said Sewall when reached for comment.

“Brandon embodies the martial spirit,” erklärte Peterson. “When I suggested Zac to him as an opponent, he didn’t hesitate at all. He’s eager to prove the validity of his training and disciplined diet in the NEF cage in front of a big audience. Brandon will be the much bigger man in the bout. NEF ANNOUNCES THE FIRST PRO FIGHT SIGNED FOR DEBUT CARD IN ORONO

ZUR SOFORTIGEN VERÖFFENTLICHUNG: Orono, Maine (Juli 11, 2019) - New England Fights (NEF) will debut in Orono on September 7, 2019 at the Collins Center for the Arts with the promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 40: School of Hard Knocks.” Bereits heute Morgen, NEF announced the first professional fight signed for the card. “The Jamaican Shamrock” Ras “Rasquatch” Hylton (4-2) dauert an Chris Sarro (0-0) in einem Kampf im Cruiser.

Ras Hylton is coming off a big win last April over Charles Penn (0-1) in Portland, Maine. The doctor stopped that fight in the first round when a cut over Penn’s eye could not be closed. Hylton opened the gash with a straight right hand that left blood pouring down to the mat.

Hylton is a mainstay of the NEF heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions. The 6’6″ athlete holds a second-degree black belt in Shotokan karate. He currently trains with Dragon Fire Martial Arts in Portland and First Class MMA in Brunswick, Maine.

“I am quite fortunate to be at the point in my career when I’m called upon to introduce new professionals to our work experience,” said Hylton.  “Boxers like my opponent offer a great risk with their familiarity in the pocket and at distance, so of course we’ll both be more than happy to trade our best shots for the win! I love the arts, but it’s in the fighting aspects of martial arts that competitors like us truly live and find purpose. So we train like our lives depend on it, because to us, that’s how it is. Welcome to the school of hard knocks, Chris. MMA 101 is now in session.”

As noted by Hylton, his opponent Chris Sarro may be a newcomer to the MMA cage, but he is no stranger to the world of combat sports. Sarro made a name for himself as an amateur boxer with a record of 7-1. He captured the 2019 Northern New England Golden Gloves championship in the superheavyweight division. A native of Ellsworth, Maine, Sarro currently represents Acadia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

“I’m just excited to fight close to home,” said Sarro.  “Orono feels like my backyard. Come September 7th, I’m going to show the world there’s a new heavyweight in town. This is my time.”
