Albuquerque, New Mexico – Janvier 6, 2017 – Sur March 18th, Victory Boxing Promotions and Rumble in Rio team up to present a night of charity boxing at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The card kicks off with eight amateur “guns & hoses” bouts between New Mexico Police and Firefighters who will fight to benefit the Jim Franklin Bike Giveaway Program and various New Mexico children’s organizations in New Mexico. The professional portion of the card will feature top prospects from the area, including flyweight Matthew Griego (6-0, 6KO) and super featherweight Alex Holguin (9-1, 6KO). Percutant Carlos “La Tiburon” Sanchez (11-0, 10KO), who hails from San Felipe, Mexique, will also be looking to remain undefeated in a six round bout at junior welterweight.

It’s the promotion’s second foray into the Land of Enchantment. Matthew Griego wowed Albuquerque crowds at Victory Boxing’s July event, stopping Marco Alcaraz in the second round of their bout. Alex Holguin and Carlos Sanchez also came away with wins that evening.

The Rumble in Rio is in its 12th year in the state of New Mexico. It was inspired by Jim Franklin, who was an evidence technician in the Rio Rancho Police Department. For several years Jim would take old bicycles from storage and rebuild them and give them out to children of low-income families in the area for Christmas. This effort prompted Officer Pete Camacho to create “Rumble in Rio,” and allowed the Jim Franklin Bike Giveaway Program to expand and provide more bicycles to more kids. So began the tradition of “Cops and Firefighters Fighting for the Kids”.

“The Rumble in Rio Board now includes members from multiple public safety agencies from New Mexico,” said Andrew Garcia, President of Rumble in Rio. “Our fighters are EMTs, Police Officers, Corrections Officers and Firefighters from around the state and have represented dozens of departments.”

“It’s an honor to team up with Rumble in Rio for this event,” a déclaré Victory Boxing Promotions’ Promoter Chris Middendorf. “Any time we have the opportunity to put our events to work in the community, that’s something we’d like to do.”

ALBUQUERQUE, N.m. (Février 15, 2016) – The second annual World MMA Association (WMMAA) Pan-American Congress, recently held at The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was a major success by all standards.

“The Pan-American Movement”, as it was named, brought together sports, tourisme, and education for a common goal with more than 12 participating countries.
The Congress provided a rare opportunity for the entire WMMAA Pan-American family to collaborate with special partnerships like The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce et The Mexico Consulate in Albuquerque, University of New Mexico Global Education Department. PANAM Members, representatives of National Federations, Commissions, Association and the Organizing Committee of the WMMAA Pan-American Championship (OCPC), as well as athletes, entraîneurs, médias, sponsors and other stakeholders to meet and discuss issues of importance to the entire MMA movement.
In his closing speech to the Congress, Pan-American Division President Tomas Yu paid tribute to the excellent collaboration between Pan-American members.
“If you asked me to sprawl a couple of times, I would most definitely need some nitro coffee from Villa Myriam before I run out of breath, followed by the guaranteed use of Sore No More,” Yu a dit. “But when it comes to fighting for our youth, for our MMA global goals – for cleaner competition, for a healthier, more peaceful and more flourishing SPORT – I will sprawl-jab-cross-kick like a champion. I will sprint the steepest trail in the Sandia Mountains. I will never stop until we raise our hands by victory. I am counting and exhorting all involved in the MMA industry to join us. We must go for the KO.”
Over the course of the three-day Congress and 13-day PANAM Camp, there were special guest such as Legacy Champion Damacio page, former UFC champion Jon “Des os” Jones et Carlos Condit. Participants heard from many respected speakers such as Health Committee Director Curt Chavez from eVOLV Strong, Hector Molina, Director of PANAM Regulatory Committee and Director of PANAM Medical Committee, Dr. Justo Pavia. The congress had interesting discussions on the following themes: athlètes, 2016 Expo MMA, structure of the “WMMAA Pan-American Movement”, global officials’ license and database, new era of Digital Sports Marketing Revolution, et la 2016 Championnats Panaméricains.

Each day was divided in two general sessions with a half-day devoted to Rules and Regulations discussions for PANAM. The plenary sessions were followed by three simultaneous breakout sessions on respective sub-themes.

All sessions were live-cast over the internet to allow the general public to hear discussions as it happened.
Two sessions began with presentations from a panel of speakers. The moderators of each panel were then responsible for the ensuing discussion period, which gave participants an opportunity to voice their opinions on issues. The main points from each session were carefully recorded by“ENLACE” – the new exclusive WMMAA correspondent program – to inform the Editorial Committee of the discussions at the end of each day. The final document reflected the main ideas to come out of the proceedings in Albuquerque, as well as information collected through the virtual WMMAA Pan-American Congress, allowing the WMMAA Pan-American family and public to submit written contributions.
The mission of the 2016 WMMAA Pan-American Congress was to bring together sports, tourism and education for a united front and review the status of the WMMAA PANAM Movement in today’s evolving global society. Information was gathered and opinions sought regarding its future, in addition to providing structure, guidance, proposals and recommendations to all constituents and other stakeholders of the WMMAA PANAM Movement for its structured showcase and harmonious development within the global youth community.

Stephen Fulton de Philadelphie a remporté une décision unanime 6-ronde sur Eric Gotay dans une Jr. Plume combat.

Fulton remporté par des dizaines de 60-54 et 59-55 est deux fois maintenant 4-0. Gotay of Puerto Rico is 3-3.

Jamontay Clark en boîte son chemin à une décision 4-unanime sur Dominique Foster dans un combat welters.

Clark ensanglanté le nez de Foster dans le deuxième tour et a remporté par des marges de blanchissage 40-36 sur toutes les cartes.

Clark de Cincinnati, OH est 4-0. Foster of of Las Vegas is 2-7-1.

Dans le combat d'ouverture, Antonio Russell marqué un 2e arrêt effrayant et méchants ronde sur Harold Reyes dans un quatre-ronde coq combat prévu.

Russell a atterri une belle combinaison dans le coin qui a été culminé par une main droite en plein essor qui a envoyé Reyes vers le bas et pendant plusieurs minutes.

Reyes avait à avoir un peu d'oxygène appliqué mais il était capable de marcher hors du ring par ses propres moyens.

Le moment de l'arrêt était 2:10 de la deuxième ronde pour Russell de Capitol Heights, MD qui a fait ses débuts pro. Reyes of Puerto Rico is 1-2.

Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie (Janvier 27 2015)–Ce samedi nuit au 2300 Arène, invaincu poids moyen Kyrone Davis prendra le vétéran Jonathan Garcia dans un combat de six rondes sur un spectacle promu par Promotions roi.

Le principal événement verra invaincu Colon Prichard (12-0, 10 KO) des Orocovis, Puerto Rico prenant Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO) d'Albuquerque, Nouveau-Mexique dans le 8-ronde Jr. lutte Middleweight.

Davis sur Wilmington, Delaware a un dossier de 5-0 avec trois coups de grâce et l'ancien amateur standout est excité à propos de son combat ce samedi.

“Formation se est bien passé. I know that Garcia is a durable guy who has fought good competition. My goal Samedi est de mettre sur une bonne, performance propre. Not to get hit and give everyone a good show for my first fight in Philly,”dit le 20 ans Davis.

Davis était 91-9 en tant qu'amateur, qui a remporté deux tournois nationaux PAL et a participé à des essais olympiques se réjouit de ses débuts locale.

Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie (Janvier 26, 2015)–Ce samedi nuit au 2300 Arène, invaincu super-coq Stephen “Scooter” Fulton cherchera à rester parfaite quand il prend Eric Gotay dans un combat de quatre-ronde sur un spectacle promu par Promotions roi.

Le principal événement verra invaincu Colon Prichard (12-0, 10 KO) des Orocovis, Puerto Rico prenant Hector Munoz (23-13-1, 15 KO) d'Albuquerque, Nouveau-Mexique dans le 8-ronde Jr. lutte Middleweight.

Fulton de Philadelphie a un dossier de 3-0 avec 1 KO et il a eu un bon camp alors qu'il se prépare pour sa 2e participation consécutive de ville natale.

“Tout a été super. Je travaille sur une force et de conditionnement. Je reçois beaucoup travail pad et mes formateurs ont été me poussais très fort. Nous sommes à la recherche pour lutter contre 6-tours, mais je me prépare pour plus,”dit le 20 ans Fulton.

Fulton a essayé connaître Gotay mais n'a trouvé que très peu d'informations sur son adversaire.

“La seule chose que je sais vraiment de lui, ce est qu'il a de longs bras et il aime à jab.”

Fulton, qui a fait ses débuts à Philadelphie avec une décision unanime 4-ronde sur Benjamin Burgos Décembre 5 profiter de sa ville natale, mais il préfère se battre hors de la ville.

“Je aime la lutte contre loin d'ici. Il est le foyer de combat plus de pression, mais je suis très concentré.”

Cette pression est rien à nouveau pour Fulton que l'amateur décorée était un Gloves champion national Argent, un champion Ringside et ont participé à la Série mondiale de la boxe où il est allé 2-1.

Fulton a été saluée par certains comme une future star de la boxe et il veut faire appel aux fans.

“Je veux me assurer que les gens remarquent moi et profiter de mon style de combat. Beaucoup de gens me remarquer ici la fin de l'année et nous espérons que je peux obtenir un peu de temps de télévision. Take a good look à moi et voir où je suis, parce que je quelques années, Je serai un champion du monde.
