MULVANE, Mei. - Februari 15, 2019 – Shohjahon Ergashev overcame a five and a half-inch height advantage recording a unanimous decision victory over fellow undefeated prospect Mykal Fox in the 10-round super lightweight main event of ShoBox: The New Generation Friday on SHOWTIME from the Kansas Star Casino.



With famed trainer Sugarhill Stewart shouting instructions from his corner, the Detroit-based power-punching Ergashev (16-0, 14 KO), by way of Fergana, Oezbekistan, did enough to beat the rangy 6-foot-4 Fox (19-1, 5 KO) in a matchup of two exciting undefeated prospects. Fox became the 186th fighter to lose their undefeated record on the prospect developmental series.



Vos, who had his father Troy and brother and fellow professional boxer middleweight Alantez in his corner, became the ninth fighter in ShoBox history to have a brother who also fought on ShoBox joining brother duos like Jermall and Jermell Charlo, Andre and Anthony Dirrell and Glenn and Nonito Donaire.

Fighting for the first time in the States, the WBO No. 4-ranked Ward of West Rainton, Engeland, scored a fourth-round knockdown and took the 10-round super bantamweight fight easily against Fort Worth’s Hernandez. De scores waren 100-89, 99-90 en 98-90.



“I came to America and fought a home fighter and won quite comfortably, I even got a knockdown,” the 24-year-old Ward said. “He was supposed to be the puncher and I was supposed to be the boxer. A lot of people think I can’t punch, then they get over-confident and get clipped. Then they realize I can punch. Look at his face compared to mine. That will tell you something.”



Ward started strong, and seemed to get better as the fight went on. “He’s been on the gas from the opening bell, and he hasn’t gotten off it,” said International Boxing Hall of Famer and ShoBox play-by-play commentator Barry Tompkins in the final minutes of the 10th en laatste ronde.



Ward exceeded double-digit connects in every round and topped 30 in five of the final six rounds while Hernandez reached double digits just three times.



It was a clean left hook that sent Hernandez to the canvas in the final seconds of the fourth round (KlikHIER kijken). NEW YORK - Januari 16, 2019 – A 10-round clash between undefeated super lightweight prospects will headline ShoBox: The New Generation when Uzbekistan’s power-puncher Shohjahon Ergashev takes on Mykal Fox Friday, Februari 15 live on SHOWTIME from Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Mei.

The second of two February editions of the prospect developmental series will feature four fighters with a combined record of 71 wins against just one loss. Undefeated super middleweight prospect Ronald Ellis will take on DeAndre Ware headlines a three-fightShoBoxtelecast on February 1.

In the February 15 co-featured fight, 28-jaar oudShoBox veteran Jesse Angel Hernandez returns to face WBO No. 4-ranked Thomas Ward in what will be the toughest test of his career in a 10-round super bantamweight bout.

“Shohjahon Ergashev is one of the hardest punchers in all of boxing. He will be facing a challenge in the undefeated skilled, determined fighter in Mykal Fox. A great fight the winner of which will cement himself as one of the best in the Jr. Welterweight division,” said Dmitriy Salita, President of Salita Promotions. “The co main event is one of the best fights in the super bantamweight division between two proven world title contenders. A real cross roads fight with lots on the line for the winner to emerge as the new dominant name in the talent packed super Bantamweight division.”

The 27-year-old Ergashev (15-0, 14 KO) is a former member of the Uzbek national team where he won 202 zijn 216 amateur bouts. A decorated amateur, Ergashev owns a win over Uzbekistan’s Shakhram Giyasov, a silver medalist in the welterweight division at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Unlike his opponent, Vos, 23, had a rocky amateur journey amassing 40 overwinningen en 60 losses—two of his wins came over undefeated top prospect Lamont Roach. Vos, 6-voet 3 ½-inches from Forestville, Md., admitted that he was not disciplined and fully committed to the sweet science in his teenage years, but once he turned pro in 2014 everything changed and boxing became his way of life. Fox comes from a family of boxers. He is trained by his father Troy and his older brother and formerShoBox fighter Alantez (24-1-1, 11 KO) is a 160-pound prospect whose only defeat came by the hands of Demetrius Andrade.

“It’s been a dream of mine to fight onShoBox. It has catapulted the careers of some of my favorite fighters,” said Fox, who is making his debut on the series. “I’m hoping it will catapult my career too.

“My opponent is a good fighter. He has good feet, good speed and great power. This is going to be a fight that can potentially steal the show. I look forward to seeing how our styles matched up.”

Hernandez (12-1, 7 KO) broke onto the scene in 2017 with back-to-back wins over previously undefeated, top-15 ranked fighters onShoBox– a unanimous decision over Glenn Dezurn and a fifth-round TKO of Vladimir Tikhonov. Hernandez followed up those performances with a split-decision over Ernesto Garza in January 2018. The 28-year-old Hernandez, the youngest of 15 kinderen, was 73-6 as an amateur and took five years off from boxing between 2009 en 2014 to work construction jobs in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.

Ward hails from County Durham in North East England, where he compiled an amateur record of 60 wins, just four losses. Bethlehem, PA (Februari 15, 2018) – Het afgelopen Dinsdag nacht, junior weltergewicht Mykal Fox took an eight-round unanimous decision over tough Ricardo Garcia in the main event of an eight-bout card at the

Evenementencentrum Sands Bethlehem.
De kaart werd gepromoot door King's Promotions.
Fox van Forestville, Maryland remained undefeated by using his long reach, as he used his jab and nice left hands. Garcia landed haymaker shots from time to time, but over the second half of the fight, Fox made the proper adjustments and timed Garcia lunging in. The damage inflicted by Fox was evident as Garcia’s left eye began to swell midway through the fight. In round seven, with his eye nearly shut, Garcia ate a right hook that put him on the canvas.
Fox took the decision by scores of 78-73 tweemaal en 77-74 to further his perfect mark to 16-0. Garcia, 142.1 lbs of Dominican Republic dropped his 2nd straight fight, en is nu 14-2.
Former two-time world welterweight champion Kermit Cintron en Markies Taylor fought to a no-contest after an accidental headbutt caused a bad cut on the right eyelid of Cintron.
Het einde kwam op 35 seconds of round three of the scheduled eight-round super welterweight bout.
Cintron, 153.7 lbs van lezen, PA is 39-6-3. Taylor, 153.8 lbs of Houston, TX is 8-1.
Colby Madison fought through a cut on the bridge of his nose to win a six-round unanimous decision over Dante Selby in a heavyweight bout.
Madison, 247 pond van Owings Mills, MD won met scores van 60-54 & 59-55 twice to remain undefeated at 6-0-1. Selby, 230 lbs of Philadelphia is 2-4-1.
Blake Mansfield stopped Darryl Bunting in round five of their scheduled six-round middleweight bout.
The bout was entertaining as the two landed good shots on each other. Bunting was cut over his right eye from a punch in round two. Mansfield was deducted a point in round four as his mouthpiece came out several times.
Mansfield ended the fight in round five when he landed a hard combination that had Bunting in trouble on the ropes. Several hard an unanswered punches later, the fight was stopped at 36 seconden.
Mansfield, 162.4 lbs of Burington, NC is 6-1-1 met vier knockouts. Bunting, 163 lbs of Asbury Park, NJ is 3-3-2.
Michael Coffie won a four-round unanimous decision over tough Nicoy Clarke in a heavyweight bout.
Koffie, 269 pond van Brooklyn, NY won all cards 40-36, en is nu 2-0. Clarke, 206.8 pond van Jersey City, NJ was making his pro debut.
Juan Sanchez stopped Sergio Aguilar in the final scheduled round of the their four round featherweight bout.
Sanchez scored knockdowns in round one, two in round two, and finished the show with a hard left that sent Aguilar down and out with just five seconds remaining in the bout.
Sanchez, 125.5 pond van Allentown, PA is 5-0 met twee knockouts. Aguilar, 123 lbs of Homestead, FL is 2-7.
Kendall Cannida made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Leroy Jones in a cruiserweight bout.
Cannida, 175.1 lbs of Philadelphia won on all cards by 40-36 scores. Jones, 174.5 lbs van Newark, NJ is 2-2.
Martino Jules won a four-round unanimous decision over Malik Loften in a battle of previously undefeated featherweight’s.
Jules scored a knockdown in round two and won by scores of 39-38 en 37-37 tweemaal.
Jules, 127.1 lbs of Philadelphia is 3-0. Loften, 125.8 lbs of Suitland, MD is 1-1.

Bethlehem, PA (Februari 5, 2018) – Twee keer wereldkampioen weltergewicht kampioen, Kermit Cintron zal nu het gezicht Markies Taylor in a ten-round bout on Dinsdag, Februari 13 bij The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
Al aangekondigd waren twee acht-ronde co-main evenementen met Frank De Alba(22-2-2, 9 KO) nemen Carlos Padilla (16-6-1, 10 KO) evenals Mykal Fox(15-0, 4 Kos) vechten Ricardo Garcia (14-1, 9 KO's) in een super lichtgewicht bout.

Taylor of Houston, Texas has a record 8-1.
De 24 year-old is a five year veteran, who has a victory over previously undefeated Oscar Torres (8-0). Taylor has won five fights in a row which includes his last fight when he won a six-round unanimous decision over Hector Mercado on November 11, 2017 in Houston.
Cintron van Reading, PA heeft een record van 39-6-3 met 30 KO.

Padilla of Barranquilla, Colombia heeft een record van 16-6-1 met tien knockouts.
De 28 year-old Padilla won his first 14 uiteinden, as he amassed a first round knockout over previously undefeated Julio Gomez, and he won the Colombian Featherweight Title with a win over Pelier Pachecho (9-2).
Padilla will be looking to get back in the win column after losing to undefeated Austin Dulay on August 25th in Miami, Oklahoma.
Vos, 22 of Forestville, Maryland has a perfect mark of 15-0 met vier knockouts.
The four-year professional won the UBF All Americas Welterweight title with an eight-round unanimous decision over Manuel Reyes on November 21, 2017

“I am excited about it, I watched his last fight. He brings a different style then my last opponent. 2018 is going to be another being year staying active. I would love to fight for a regional title by the end if the year,” zei Fox.
Garcia of the Dominican Republic has a record of 14-1 met negen knockouts.
De 31 year-old Garcia won his first 14 uiteinden, which included winning the Dominican Republic Super Lightweight title with a ten-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Francisco Aguero on March 31, 2017.
