The vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (Ook) USA bantamweight title will be on the line in the eight-round main event.

 

 

 

 

A UNLV sophomore who lives in Las Vegas, the 19-year-old Ornelas is ranked by the World Boxing Association (WBA) at No. 14 in de wereld. “I’ve had several fights where my role was reversed, and I was fighting in my hometown in front of my fans, friends and family,” Dallas resident Lopez, Jr. spoke about fighting Ornelas on the road. “I wanted to put on a show and they were screaming like crazy before the opening bell. Once the fight started, hoewel, I didn’t see or hear them. It was just me and my opponent. I’ve fought in Las Vegas a few times and I’m comfortable fighting him (Ornelas) er. I understand that this is part of my job, a requirement, regardless of fighting him in his hometown. I like pressure.”

 

 

 

 

Lopez, Jr. was born in Mexico, but he’s lived nearly his entire life in Texas. Zijn vader,Tony Lopez, Sr., was an ex-fighter from Mexico who got his son into boxing when he was six. Nu, Lopez, Jr. fights for Roy Jones, Jr.

 

 

 

 

“It’s surreal,” the rugged southpaw admitted. “I’m fighting for a living legend, arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time. He knows me, he’s seen me fight. It’s an honor to wear his gear, not only as a fan of his, but to represent his company. It’s one of the coolest things in this business.”

 

 

 

 

Ornelas is also promoted by RJJ Boxing Promotions and they’ve fought together on two RJJ cards. They’re familiar with each other and, if styles truly make great fights, this one could turn out to be an instant classic.

 

 

 

 

“Hij is (Max) a very clean fighter, by the books, not wanting to get into scrapes,” the 24-year-old Lopez spoke about his opponent. “He strides and moves, not looking to bang or exchange. He likes to fight on the outside, using his size and length. He’s fast but doesn’t have a lot of power. It’s hit and not get hit for him. He has a lot of holes and me being the more experienced fighter, I plan to expose some of those holes.

 

 

 

 

“Back in May of 2016, I fought and undefeated opponent, Jerren Cochran (11-0-1), and I knew it was an audition for Roy and RJJ. I came out in a full attack mode because I wanted to make a statement. ((Lopes knocked our Cochran in the second round.) I’m looking to make another statement this time around by fighting like I did earlier in my career.

 

 

 

 

“I’m faster, stronger and have better head movement than him. I’m still young but I have more life experience than him (Ornelas). I’m still young, alleen 24, but I have more experience than him going into this fight. I’ve fought a former world champion (Rico Ramos). I’m part of a new team and my FHG Gloves teammates are John Vera, who just fought for a world title, en Edwin Vasquez. Bethlehem, PA (Februari 15, 2018) – Het afgelopen Dinsdag nacht, junior weltergewicht Mykal Fox took an eight-round unanimous decision over tough Ricardo Garcia in the main event of an eight-bout card at the

Evenementencentrum Sands Bethlehem.

Fox van Forestville, Maryland remained undefeated by using his long reach, as he used his jab and nice left hands. Garcia landed haymaker shots from time to time, but over the second half of the fight, Fox made the proper adjustments and timed Garcia lunging in. The damage inflicted by Fox was evident as Garcia’s left eye began to swell midway through the fight. In round seven, with his eye nearly shut, Garcia ate a right hook that put him on the canvas.
Fox took the decision by scores of 78-73 tweemaal en 77-74 to further his perfect mark to 16-0. Garcia, 142.1 lbs of Dominican Republic dropped his 2nd straight fight, en is nu 14-2.
Former two-time world welterweight champion Kermit Cintron en Markies Taylor fought to a no-contest after an accidental headbutt caused a bad cut on the right eyelid of Cintron.

Blake Mansfield stopped Darryl Bunting in round five of their scheduled six-round middleweight bout.
The bout was entertaining as the two landed good shots on each other. Bunting was cut over his right eye from a punch in round two. Mansfield was deducted a point in round four as his mouthpiece came out several times.
Mansfield ended the fight in round five when he landed a hard combination that had Bunting in trouble on the ropes. Several hard an unanswered punches later, the fight was stopped at 36 seconden.
Mansfield, 162.4 lbs of Burington, NC is 6-1-1 met vier knockouts. Bunting, 163 lbs of Asbury Park, NJ is 3-3-2.
Michael Coffie won a four-round unanimous decision over tough Nicoy Clarke in a heavyweight bout.
Koffie, 269 pond van Brooklyn, NY won all cards 40-36, en is nu 2-0. Clarke, 206.8 pond van Jersey City, NJ was making his pro debut.
Juan Sanchez stopped Sergio Aguilar in the final scheduled round of the their four round featherweight bout.
Sanchez scored knockdowns in round one, two in round two, and finished the show with a hard left that sent Aguilar down and out with just five seconds remaining in the bout.
Sanchez, 125.5 pond van Allentown, PA is 5-0 met twee knockouts. Aguilar, 123 lbs of Homestead, FL is 2-7.
Kendall Cannida made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Leroy Jones in a cruiserweight bout.
Cannida, 175.1 lbs of Philadelphia won on all cards by 40-36 scores. Jones, 174.5 lbs van Newark, NJ is 2-2.
Martino Jules won a four-round unanimous decision over Malik Loften in a battle of previously undefeated featherweight’s.
Jules scored a knockdown in round two and won by scores of 39-38 en 37-37 tweemaal.
Jules, 127.1 lbs of Philadelphia is 3-0. Loften, 125.8 lbs of Suitland, MD is 1-1.

Bethlehem, PA (Februari 9, 2018) – Junior Lightweight contender Frank De Alba suffered a cut in his last day of sparring and will not be able to compete against Carlos Padilla in the main event of King’s Promotions packed card on Tuesday, February 13th at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.

Taylor of Houston, Texas has a record 8-1.
De 24 year-old is a five year veteran, who has a victory over previously undefeated Oscar Torres (8-0). Taylor has won five fights in a row which includes his last fight when he won a six-round unanimous decision over Hector Mercado on November 11, 2017 in Houston.
Cintron van Reading, PA heeft een record van 39-6-3 met 30 KO.

Philadelphia, Penn. (Juli 10, 2017)–Ongeslagen super middengewicht Devar Ferhadi will take on his toughest test when he takes on battle tested Antowyan Aikens in the eight-round main event of a great night of boxing on Vrijdag, August 11th bij Het SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland was born in Iraq, and has amassed a perfect mark of 7-0 met zes knockouts.
Ferhadi has one of the unique stories in the sport as he spends about eight months out of the year as a medical student in Kurdastad, Irak.
De 22 year-old began fighting at age 14 and went 10-2 als amateur. He lost in an Olympic qualifying tournament.
He started coming to the United States, and his whole family still resides in Iraq.
This will be Ferhadi’s first fight in almost a year when he stopped Christopher Petty in three rounds on August 19m 2016 in Crystal City, Virginia.
Aikens van Atlantic City, New Jersey heeft een record van 11-3-1 met een knock-out.

Philadelphia, PA (April 20, 2017) – Op Vrijdag nacht, May 19th, Carlos Rosario zal op zich te nemen Josh Davis in a scheduled eight-round lightweight bout that will headline a terrific night at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

Rosario van Pennsauken, New Jersey, heeft een record van 7-1 met vier knockouts, and has won seven consecutive since dropping his pro debut.
De 26 year-old is a three-year professional, and has wins over Victor Vasquez (4-1), Bobby Hornsby (8-1), and his last outing when he stopped Lance Williams on Maart 11 in Philadelphia.
Davis, ook 26, fights out of Washington, Gelijkspanningsbedrading, and brings in a respectable record of 10-1 met vier knockouts.
The six-year professional will be making his first start in 18 maanden. Davis, who has won six straight is coming off a four round unanimous decision over Justin Lopez on November 12, 2015.
