Busy Spring for GH3 Promotions fighters

Nutley, Nueva Jersey (Marzo 27, 2018)–Comenzando este viernes, GH3 Promotions will be active as eight of the Promotional outfit’s fighters will be in action over the next six weeks.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-It was a bittersweet night for welterweight contender Thomas LaManna as he won a 10-round unanimous decision over George Sosa in an entertaining bout in front of a capacity crowd at El Claridge Hotel En Atlantic City.

The 11-bout card was promoted by Rising Promotions.

LaManna won the WBC Silver Latino Welterweight title and shortly after, el luchador conocido como “Copo de maíz” promptly announced his retirement in the ring.

The two traded big blows throughout the bout as Sosa came out very aggressively and was able to land some good right hands. LaManna was giving better of the two-way action, which had the sold-out crowd very enthused throughout the contest.

Both guys traded hard shots down the stretch with LaManna getting the better of the action. Every so often, Sosa was able to score with hard shots, but they were few and far between.
LaManna sat down on his punches and landed thudding blows as he tried to get the stoppage against the tough Sosa.

Then LaManna announced that this would be his last fight.

“I think LaManna is a boxer who has not fought anyone of my caliber yet, and unlike me, I have fought everyone,” said Sosa. LaManna has been protected during his whole career, Do I think he will be easy? No. There is no such thing as an easy fight. He is his Mommy and Daddy;s baby. When he fought somebody with caliber, he lost.”
Despite his 15-9 registro, Sosa knows a win can change his whole career.
“This fight is for the WBC Silver title, and would definitely change my career. Before I would just take fights because I needed the money to take care of my family in Cuba. I was too busy partying, and not taking matters seriously. Like my last fight with Anthony Young, I arrived three days before the weigh-in, y yo estaba 21 pounds over the weight. Atlantic City, Nueva Jersey (Julio 14, 2017)–contendiente de peso welter, Thomas “Copo de maíz” LaManna se enfrentará a George Sosa para la WBC Silver Latino Welterweight campeonato in the ten-round main event that will headline a great night of championship boxing on Sábado, August 19th en El Claridge Hotel en Atlantic City.
The show is expected to be the 9th sold-out show at the Claridge promoted by Rising Promotions.
“Rising Promotions is looking forward to ending the Summer with another great show here at the Claridge. We have a good line up on the card so we are hoping for a packed house, and we are looking forward to staging our first championship bout,” said Debbie LaManna of Rising Promotions.
The championship bout is the first major sanctioning body championship bout in Atlantic City in almost three years. (Kovalev vs Hopkins, Noviembre 8, 2014).
LaManna will be looking to win his first belt in the welterweight division. A win will propel him into the rankings as he looks for a high profile bout later this year.

Nutley, Nueva Jersey (Enero 24, 2017) – Despite the disappointing loss by Adam Lopez in the main event of the ShoBox: La Nueva Generación card at Ballys Atlantic City Hotel and Casino, Promociones GH3 still had a prosperous evening as the company registered six big victories on the show.

Televised winners included Ronald Ellis y Kenenth Sims, Jr. mientras Stephon joven, Leroy davila, Keenan Smith y Malik Jackson were all very impressive on the undercard.
Ellis won a 8-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker to raise his record to 14-0-1 en una pelea de peso súper mediano.
Junior Welterweight, Sims was making his national television debut, and did so in style as he remained perfect by winning a 8-round unanimous decision over Emmanuel Robles to go to 11-0.
Young of St. Louis fought a crowd pleasing fight, and took home a unanimous decision over Olimjon Nazarov and the number-4 ranked bantamweight contender is now 16-0-3.
Davila, un 2016 United Stated Olympic alternate, dominated and ultimately stopped fellow undefeated bantamweight Anthony Taylor in round three of their four round bout. Davila, a native of New Brunswick, Nueva Jersey es ahora 5-0 con 3 nocauts.
Smith of Philadelphia was impressive in stopping Marquis Hawthorne after round five of their scheduled six round welterweight bout. Smith was dominant from the opening bell, and Hawthorne had taken enough punishment to pack it in after round five. Smith is now 10-0 con 4 nocauts.
Jackson of Washington, D.C. was making his first start under the GH3 promotional banner and took out an overmatched Christian Foster in the 1st round. The super bantamweight remained perfect at 2-0 con ambas victorias llegando temprano.

Atlantic City, Nueva Jersey (Septiembre 14, 2016)– Welter, Antonio “Jugo” Joven will look for his third consecutive victory when he takes on Malik Jackson in a battle of New Jersey based fighters as one of the undercard bouts this Thursday nighal 2300 Arena en Filadelfia.
Young of Atlantic City won his first ten bouts and after his current two-fight streak will enter the ring with a record of 13-2 con cinco knockouts.
“I had a really good camp and great sparring with (ligero) Anthony Burgin & Victor Padilla.
En Jackson, he is facing a fighter with a very deceiving 3-9-4 registro. He has had several questionable decisions not go in his favor, so Young expects a fight that will not be a gimme.
“I do not know much about him other than t\him being a scrappy fighter who is coming to win. I know he is from New Jersey, but it doesn’t matter where he is from. He could be from Switzerland for all I care.”
This will be the third bout that Young will have championship trainer Raul “chino” Rivas, and Young already has seen the improvements with his new coach.
“I will display what I have been working on with Chino. I want to thank my team for this opportunity on this card.”

But I have noticed that he doesn’t use his jab and he doesn”t have the heart when you press him. We have been using Juice’s angles and combinations and slowly we have been to eliminate bad habits. He is smart, a hard worker and disciplined and his best boxing is ahead of him.”
