Uncasville, Conn. - BELLATOR 256: Bader vs. Machida 2 is officially in the books.

The BELLATOR MMA Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix rolls on as Bellator MMA returns next Friday, Aprīlis 16 Showtime, kad Vadim Nemkov defends his light heavyweight world title against former championPhil Davis un Corey Anderson welcomes Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov to the BELLATOR Cage in the event’s co-headliner. “There’s redemption this whole tournament. I got one back on Machida but I’ve lost to Nemkov and I’ve lost to Anthony Johnson, so I would like to meet one of them in the finals. But honestly, to make it to the finals and fight for the belt, I’d be happy with whoever it is.”

LOS ANGELES – A middleweight superfight for the vacant 185-pound title, pitting former divisional champion Gegard Mousasi (46-7-2) against current Bellator welterweight titleholder Douglas Lima (32-7), has been added to Bellator’s exciting return to SAP Center at San Jose on Saturday, Maijs 9 – LIVE on Paramount Network and DAZN at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT.



The event is anchored by a previously announced heavyweight world title bout, featuring two-division Bellator champ Ryan Bader (27-5, 1 NC) defending his 205-pound title against Russia’s Vadim Nemkov (11-2).



Bellator: Bader vs. Nemkov airs live on Paramount Network and DAZN on Saturday, Maijs 9 pie 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. Preliminary action will stream on DAZN, Bellator.com and globally on the Bellator Mobile App. Tickets can be purchased at the LexisNexis Risk Solutions Ticket Office at SAP Center, through Ticketmaster and Bellator.com.



The Bellator middleweight title was recently relinquished by Rafael Lovato Jr. due to ongoing medical complications.



Fighting out of Leiden, South Holland, Nīderlande, Mousasi has cemented legendary status within the sport, having won titles with multiple promotions across a 55-fight career. Pavisam nesen, Mousasi defeated Lyoto Machida via split lēmums, clearing his path to a shot at a second Bellator middleweight title run. With victories in his storied career against Machida, Rory MacDonald, Kriss Veidmans, Rafael Carvalho, Vitor Belfort, Jacare Souza, Dan Henderson and Mark Hunt, a victory over Douglas Lima will add to his already-impressive resume.



Looking to join the ranks of Ryan Bader un Patricio “Pitbull” as two-division champions, Lima moves up 15-pounds to try his hand against Mousasi. Since making his promotional debut in 2011, “The Phenom” has earned 14 uzvarām, including a trio of world titles and 10 finishes, making the American Top Team-product one of the most dominant fighters in the 170-pound division. NEW YORK – The line-up for the highly anticipated Bellator 222: MacDonald vs. Gracie notikums has been completed with two title fights and 18 electric bouts in total filling out Bellator’s return to Madison Square Garden this Friday, Jūnijs 14 – only on DAZN. The star-studded card is headlined by a double main event that will see a Welterweight World Grand Prix semi-final matchup between current Bellator welterweight world champion Rory MacDonald (20-5-1) defending his title against the unbeaten Renzo Gracie-trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Neiman Gracie (9-0), as well as two of the sport’s biggest names in Lyoto Machida (25-8) un Chael Sonnen (31-16-1) finally meeting after years of parallel careers in the MMA world.



The main card of Bellator 222 will stream live exclusively on DAZN pie 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, while preliminary action begins at 6:30 p.m. EST/3:30 p.m. PST and will also stream onDAZN or globally on the Bellator Mobile App.

Brent Primus Defends Lightweight Title Against Michael Chandler in Long-Awaited Main Event Rematch to Kick Off Honolulu Doubleheader

 

LOS ANGELES – To honor the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Bellator MMA has partnered with the USO to present a special live event free for the troops, along with their friends and families, gada decembrī 14.
