King’s Promotions announces 14 dates for 2018

Fights cards at 2300 Arena, Sands Bethlehem Event Center and SugarHouse Casino
Leitura, PA (Dezembro 18, 2017) – Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is pleased to announce that the company will stage at least 14 events in Pennsylvania in 2018.
The dates will be spread out over three of the premiere venues in the state.
O 2300 Arena and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia as well as the Sands Bethlehem Event Center will stage the fight cards which will be seen live on national television.
“I want to thank these three tremendous venues for the opportunity to bring the best fights to the fans in Eastern Pennsylvania. We have built up a great following in all of these places, and over the past three years or so we have been the busiest promoter in the country. 2018 will be the same. King’s Promotions continues to grow and, we are working on dates all over the country,” said King’s Promotions President Marshall Kauffman.

Filadélfia, PA (Dezembro 5, 2017) – Last Friday night Tyrone Brunson stopped Manny Woods to win the UBF International Junior Middleweight title after eight-rounds of a scheduled ten-round bout in front of a sold out crowd at the 2300 Arena.
The exciting 12-bout card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
Brunson of Philadelphia systematically broke down woods as he boxed well using a pinpoint jab over the first half of the fight. In round six, Brunson started landing hard power punches and began to stagger Woods. Finally after round eight, the corner of Woods pulled the plug on the bout, and Brunson scored his 3rd straight win.
Brunson is now 26-6-2 com 24 nocautes. Woods of Saint Petersburg, Florida is 16-7-1.
Na co-metragem Brandon Robinson scored the biggest win of his career by winning an eight-round unanimous decision over Christopher Brooker to win the UBF All Americas super middleweight title.
Robinson got the better of the action as he cut Brooker in 2 places around the left eye. Brooker tried to get back in the fight over the last couple rounds, but it was Robinson’s boxing and power punches that propelled him to the victory by 80-72, 79-73 e 78-74.
Robinson of Philadelphia is 8-1. Brooker of Philadelphia is 12-5.

Jaron Ennis took out George Sosa at 1:09 of round two of a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout.
The top prospect, Ennis scored two knockdowns and the fight was stopped at 1:09 da segunda rodada.
Ennis of Philadelphia is now 17-0 com 15 nocautes. Sosa of Reading, PA é 15-11-1.
Omar Douglas made short work of Isais Martin Gonzales by scoring a 1st round stoppage in a scheduled six-round super featherweight bout.

Romuel Cruz made a successful pro debut with a 3rd round stoppage over Rondarrius Hunter in a bantamweight bout.
A series of body shot put Hunter down and the bout was stopped at 2:#5.

Rasheed Johnson of Philadelphia won a four-round unanimous decision over Kashon Hutchinson in a welterweight bout.

RIP Desmond Hammond

Leitura, PA (Novembro 14, 2017) – King’s Promotions is deeply saddened at the passing of Desmond Hammond.

Hammond of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away na segunda-feira morning at the age of 35. He was at his home and surrounded by his family.
Hammond was the Director of Operations for King’s Promotions for the better part of the last three years. He was the nephew of King’s Promotions CEO Marshall Kauffman.
“This is such a sad day for my family and for everyone who knew Desmond,” disse Kauffman.
“Desmond was like a son to me. He is my sister’s son, and he is basically the same age as my children so we are extremely close. Desmond came to boxing just a few years ago and he picked up the business so fast. We have run more shows then anybody in the country, and they all have come off so smoothly. That was because of Desmond. He was on top of every detail, which made the events go off without a hitch. But most of all he was very selfless and caring. He was always there for someone in need. He was a great young man, who was very smart, and he was always joking. It was such an honor for me to have him on board with King’s Promotions. He was such a special person who was loved and will be missed so much.”
Besides Kauffman and his family, Hammond is survived by his mother Sheri Clark, sisters Lynchel Hammond and Raven Hammond, brother Steven Brandon, his daughter Dayana, newborn son Donovan and his girlfriend Alisha.

Robinson battles George Sheppard HOJE À NOITE no 2300 Arena em Filadélfia
Leitura, PA (Setembro 29, 2017) – Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions is proud to announce the signing of super middleweight prospect Brandon Robinson to an exclusive promotional contract.
Robinson, 29 years-old of Upper Darby, PA tem um recorde de 6-1 com cinco knockouts.
Robinson, who got a late start in the sport, has won six fights in a row after his pro debut when he fought 30 pounds over his natural weight-class, and lost to former National Golden Gloves champion Mike Hilton.

Filadélfia, PA (Setembro 25, 2017) –Esta sexta-feira noite, undefeated junior welterweight Mykal Fox (14-0, 4 KOs) will make his Philadelphia debut when he takes on tough Marlon Aguas (9-1, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bout at O 2300 Arena em Filadélfia.

No evento principal, peso galo invicto Christian Carto (11-0, 11 KOs) lutaráAlonso Melendez (14-1, 12 KOs) in a bout scheduled for eight-rounds.
Fox-Aguas and Carto – Melendez will be part of the broadcast on Eleven Sports beginning at9 PM ET / 6 PM PT, com o primeiro ataque a partir de 7 PM ET.
Also as part of the Eleven Sports broadcast,Carlos Rosario (7-2, 4 KOs) of Pennsuaken, New Jersey and Jerome Conquest (8-2, 1 KO) of Philadelphia will meet in a highly anticipated eight-round lightweight bout.
Fox de Forestville, Maryland has had a flawless camp as he prepared for this potentially tough challenge.
“My training went very well. My weight came off nicely, and I had great sparring. I feel very good as I head into this fight,” disse Fox.
In Aguas, he is facing a battled tested foe who has fought good competition in his home country of Ecuador and in Mexico. His lone defeated came in his last bout against then-undefeated prospect Ivan Golub.
“Aguas fought against Golub, who is a known commodity. I know that Aguas has a good record and has power, and he has been 12 rounds, so I expect to have to fight the whole time in there.”
The King’s Promotions signee, Fox is looking forward to his maiden voyage into one of the great fight towns in Philadelphia.
“Philly is a great fight town. I know a lot of people up there like Julian Williams, Tevin Farmer and Jesse Hart. Those guys are tough, and Philly has a lot of tough fighters. I am really looking forward to fighting in front of the Philly fight crowd.”
Fox is really excited about what a win will do for him going forward.
“This win will be a a good look for me because of his record. It will show people that I can handle myself against a battle tested opponent, and hopefully it will catapult me into a ShoBox opportunity, and keep me moving in my career. I want to thank everybody who has been rooting for me and following me.”

Carto (11-0, 11 KOs) of Philadelphia has developed into one of the top prospects in the Philadelphia region and combined with his growing fan base, Carto has become a must-see attraction.
“Everything has gone great in camp. I feel really good for Friday,” said Carto.
In Melendez, he is fighting a tough fighter from Mexico who sports an impressive mark of 14-1 com 12 nocautes.
“I have seen a few videos of him, and I know he is a southpaw. Ele é um bom lutador, and on paper it looks like he is my toughest fight, but I can tell you for sure after the fight.”
Ever since he was an amateur, Carto has been a popular fighter, drawing large crowds, but since becoming a professional, Carto is starting to build into an attraction, where he is starting to acquire more and more fans with each fight.
“I am starting to notice that my fan base is growing. That makes me feel good that people want to come out and see me fight.”
This being his 12th fight em 14 meses, Carto has kept a busy schedule, and should everything go well na sexta-feira noite, Carto could see more action as 2017 closes out.
“I definitely want to get one more for sure and possibly two more fights before the year ends, but first things first is Friday and it’s going to be a good night of boxing.”
