CARLTON, MN (April 8, 2016) – Unbeaten knockout artist Murat “Bügeleisen” Gassiev (22-0, 16 KOs) nimmt knallharte Jordan Shimmell (20-1, 16 KOs) in a 12-round cruiserweight world title eliminator that headlines Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) TOE-bis-Fuß DIENSTAGS auf FS1 und Boxing Champions auf FOX Deportes Dienstag, Mai 17 from Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, MN.
The action begins at 9 p.m. UND/6 p.m. PT and features an eight-round heavyweight showdown between unbeaten Wes Nofire (19-0, 15 KOs) and former title challenger and Minnesota-native Joey “Minnesota Ice” Eine Glocke (31-9, 29 KOs) and hometown prospect Javontae Starks (13-1, 7 KOs) in an eight-round super welterweight affair against Olympic Bronze medalist Yordenis Ugás (15-3, 7 KOs).
Gassiev and Shimmell will square off for the top spot for the cruiserweight title currently held by Victor Emilio Ramirez and the winner will be in line to face the winner of the unification bout between Ramirez and Denis Lebedev also taking place in May.
“I have seen Jordan Shimmell in the ring and I feel like this is a good fight for me,” sagte Gassiev. “I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring after the mistake I made last fight. I’m going to be real sharp on May 17 and I will not disappoint.”
“I’m excited to get back in the ring and fight in another televised bout,” said Shimmell. “I know I’m in there with a tough, strong opponent, but with my skills and ability it shouldn’t be a problem. As long as I fight smart and do the things I’ve been training to do, I will come out with the win.”
“This is a big opportunity for me in a competitive televised bout,” said Nofire. “This is a chance for me to move past being a regional fighter. I’m preparing not just to win but to look spectacular. A fast-rising 22-year-old contender, Gassiev is undefeated since turning pro in 2011 and has delivered three straight stoppage victories since making his stateside debut in January 2015. In one of the chief support bouts, undefeated Lightweight, Mykal Fox will look to stay perfect when he takes on veteran Claudinei Lacerda in a bout scheduled for 6-rounds.
Fox is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Fox von Forestville, Maryland hat einen Rekord von 8-0 with two knockouts while Lacerda of Brazil has considerably more experience as he is 17-13-1 mit 12 Knockouts.
“My training has been great. I have had great sparring with different looks. I have been in there with puncher, boxers and even some MMA fighters, so I am ready for anything,”sagte der 20 year-old Fox.

“Everything is going great in training. Attah is a cagey veteran, who is a southpaw that fights everyone. He has gone the distance with a lot of good fighters such as “Chop Chop” Corley. He was an Olympian in 1996, but he is no threat to me,” said Barnett.
“It means a lot to me to headline at home here in Washington. I can fight in front a lot of my family and friends.”
Barnett knows that with a couple wins, a big opportunity can arise in the 140-pound division.

He won the WBO-NABO Super Featherweight championship with a 12-round unanimous decision over Aldo Valtierra on February 25, 2000. After winning the title he had three more quality wins over Keylang Umana (19-2), Ariel Nestal (24-2-4) and former world title challenger Ever Beleno (38-8) to set up a shot at undefeated WBO Super Featherweight champion Acelino Freitas.
Attah showed his toughness by going the distance with the Brazilian knockout artist, but fell short by losing a 12-round unanimous decision.
The loss to Freitas did not dissuade Attah as in his next bout he defeated Toncho Tonchev (27-1). Attah also has wins over Isidro Granados (14-1-2) & Marvin Quintero (20-2).

LAS VEGAS (Juli 25, 2015) – Shumenov Beibu (16-2, 10 KOs) unterlegen B.J. Blumen (31-2-1, 20 KOs) durch einstimmigen Beschluss Samstag night to win a cruiserweight world title on Premier Boxing Champions auf NBCSN from the Pearl at Palms Casino Resort.

 

Shumenov came out aggressive early before using his movement late to earn a world title in a second division and become the first fighter from Kazakhstan to achieve that feat. Flores was competitive throughout the fight, countering effectively when Shumenov showed aggression while landing more power punches.

 

Im 12th-round Flores wobbled Shumenov on the ropes in the closing seconds, but was unable to earn a knockdown. Shumenov used a strong jab and quick movements to make Flores miss consistently. Alle drei Richter erzielten den Kampf 116-112.

 

In a battle of undefeated rising cruiserweight contenders, Detroit Isiah Thomas (15-0, 6 KOs) earned a hard-fought victory over Jordan Shimmell (19-1, 16 KOs) in their 10-round bout.

Thomas was able to fend Shimmell off on the inside as the broader Shimmell attempted to land big punches from close quarters. Thomas won by the scores of 99-91, 98-92 und 97-93.

 

In further action, Dominican power-puncher Claudio Marrero (19-1, 14 KOs) delivered a vicious second round knockout over former world champion Rico Ramos (24-5, 12 KOs). Marrero connected with a strong overhand left that immediately sent Ramos to the canvas, prompting referee Jay Nady to wave off the count. The knockout came twenty seconds into the round.

 

The televised opener featured undefeated cruiserweight Andrew “The Beast” Tabiti(11-0, 10 KOs) scoring a dominant unanimous decision victory over Roberto Santos(12-2, 5 KOs). Tabiti used his length and speed to outwork and outland Santos over the eight-round fight. Alle drei Richter erzielten den Kampf 80-72.

“My punches were crisp and effective and I hurt him. He had nothing on his punches and never hurt me.

 

“I wobbled him in the twelfth round and then I went in to rush him. He kept moving back though.
