World-Rated Russian Light Heavyweight Ali Izmailov Returns Saturday for Showdown Against Detroit’s James Ballard in Dearborn, MY

Din is-Sibt, Ottubru 16, IBF #11, WBC #14 and WBO #15 light heavyweight Ali Izmailov (5-0, 3 Kos) returns to action against capable hometown veteran James Ballard (10-3, 3 Kos) in the eight-round main event of promoters Kenny D Moore and Vi Tran’s of Second 2 None Promotions’ “Best of Tomorrow 12” event at the Performance Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan.


The 28-year-old Izmailov, from Malgobek, Russja, is a former amateur standout who won multiple elite international tournaments. Already world-rated as a professional at just 5-0, 3 Kos, Izmailov recently started working with world-famous Florida-based trainer John David Jackson at his Action Jackson Boxing Academy in Fort Lauderdale.


Jackson, who has spent the last three weeks sizing up his new protegee, says Izmailov is a diamond in the rough waiting for polish.


“The sky is the limit for him with his punching power,” said Jackson of Izmailov. “He’s a tremendous puncher, but he’s also got natural boxing skills. Bħala ġellied, I don’t think he realizes his potential. I’m getting him to move his head more and throw more combinations, instead of one power punch at a time. Nothing against his old trainers, but once he learns to throw three or four shots to set them up and camouflage the hard ones, he will be unstoppable.”


Jackson says the 32-year-old Ballard will be a good test for Izmailov and his newfound skills, but shouldn’t be able to derail any of their plans.


“Ballard is good, but Ali just has to pressure him and go to the body to break him down. Once his opponents feel his power, they all have a change of heart. Once Ali hits him with some good shots, it’ll be a matter of time.”


“Ali has amazing potential to be a star and John David is the perfect trainer to bring that out of him,” said Izmailov’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita. “I think you’ll see the improvements immediately under his expert tutelage. Ali was already the best prospect in the light heavyweight division.”

A natural to boxing, Martinez’s in-ring patience and technical skill combined with above-average power make him a strong candidate for success in the professional game.
“I feel excited and anxious about turning pro,” Said Martinez. “I’m thrilled to be having my first pro fight. A lot of people said I had a pro style, so yeah, I want this more than anything.”
23-year-old southpaw super middleweight Robert Daniels Jr. is the son of former cruiserweight world champion Robert “Preacherman” Daniels, the only Miami-born fighter to hold a major world title. Daniels Jr. started boxing at 10 years old and went 64-6 as an amateur boxer. Among his many accolades, he won the Sunshine State Games twice, the State title twice, the Platinum Gloves, the Junior Olympic regionals. A boxer/puncher with excellent counter-punching skills, Daniels is trained by former world champion John David Jackson.

19-year-old super featherweight Chasity “The Queen of Pompano Beach” Martin had a stellar amateur boxing career, where she was ranked #1 in Florida and #3 in the country while winning the 2015 Sunshine State Games, the Junior Silver Gloves, the State Junior Olympics, and the Florida Golden Gloves. She is trained by former Mike Tyson trainer, Stacy McKinley, at Gold’s Gym in Deerfield Beach.

Victory Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce that undefeated middleweight prospect, Luis “Kuba” Arias will make the first in what we hope, are many headlining appearances when he takes on power punching Gilberto Santos of Brazil in a bout scheduled for ten rounds under the direction of world class trainer, John David Jackson.

Arias of Milwaukee, Wisconsin has a perfect record of 13-0 b'sitt knockouts.

“Camp has been excellent. Things have been coming together nicely and on time. I get better and stronger every camp,” Said Arias. “I am not overlooking Santos as he’s a strong fighter who’s coming to win but this is my time and I want to make a statement in my first headliner.”

“Training with John David Jackson has been a great. Having someone with his level of experience has helped me develop as a fighter. He has helped take my game to another level. Him and Derik Santos have been a great fit for me. I feel I have the best training team in boxing.”

Il 25 year-old came into the pro ranks with high aspirations after a stellar amateur career that saw him win two US National Championships and a National PAL title, in addition to numerous medals on the international level.
In Jackson, he has a trainer who has trained many world champions and is currently one of the hot cornermen in boxing due to his work with current Light Heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev.

“Luis has had a great camp he’s strong and on weight. He’s ready for his first headlining bout and wants to showcase his talent and show people that he’s the real deal,”said Jackson of his prized pupil,” Said Jackson.

“For this camp we are stressing the body attack. Luis is a good boxer with excellent skills and power. We are trying to develop his all-around game so we are focusing more on working the body for this fight.”

Jackson does not feel Cuba Arias is just any boxer. He sees major things in the future for him.
