PHILADELPHIA, Penn. / ORANGE, Calif. (Juli 23, 2018) – Artie Pelullo, Der Co-Promotor von Zhora Hamazaryan wird das Ergebnis von Zhora Hamazaryan vom vergangenen Freitag ansprechen – Thomas Mattice kämpft mit der Iowa-Kommission.
Pelullo sprach direkt nach dem Kampf am Freitag mit Iowa-Kommissar Joe Walsh, die im WinnaVegas Casino stattfand.

Im Kampf, Hamazaryan erzielte einen explosiven Knockdown in der 2. Runde; rockte Mattice noch mehrmals, und dominierte die Aktion. Hamazaryan verletzte Mattice in Runde sieben schwer. Die meisten Leute, die den Kampf gesehen haben, dachte, dass Hamazayan gewonnen hat 6 Runden 2, plus die 2. Runde Niederschlag.
Hall of Fame SHOWTIME announcer Steve Farhood called the decision the one of the worst in the history of the series, while his fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Barry Tompkins went even farther by calling it the worst decision in 40 Jahre.

Hamazaryan co-promoter, Artie Pelullo said, “I spoke to commissioner Joe Walsh right after the fight. I informed him that we were going to appeal the decision, and he understood our position, and he said that we are within our rights to appeal.”
