Fighting out of Phoenix, Benavidez picked up four victories via stoppage in 2015 and most recently scored a sensational knockout over Felipe Romero in November. He will be opposed by the Burlington, Vermont-native Cobbs who enters this fight on a four-bout win streak.
A 2011 National Golden Gloves mester, Plant has begun to make his name in the professional ranks since turning pro in 2014. I fjor, the 23-year-old picked up six victories including hard fought triumphs over Jamar Freeman in September and Tyrone Brunson in October. TV-dekning begynner på 11 pm. OG/8 pm. PT and features an exciting night of fights for fans watching at home and in attendance at the popular downtown Los Angeles venue.
The boxing action continues on Lørdag, Januar 23 as PBC on FOX comes to STAPLES Center with an exciting primetime doubleheader featuring undefeated Danny “Swift” Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs) og tidligere verdensmester Robert “The Ghost” Warrior (33-3-1, 18 KOs) in a 12-round welterweight showdown and undefeated rising star Sergeant Sammy “The Who Can meksikanske” Vasquez (20-0, 14 KOs) against Los Angeles-native Aron Martinez (20-4-1, 4 KOs) in a welterweight battle that kicks off televised coverage at 8 pm. “This is a huge opportunity for me to fight at home and it’s extra motivating to fight in the same venue where I made my pro debut,” Said Molina. “I’ve seen Jamal fight in the amateurs. We haven’t fought but we know each other well. I’m very thankful to be in this position and I plan on making the most of it.

A tall welterweight at 6′ 2″, James is undefeated as a pro with victories over Wayne Martell, Angel Hernandez and Mohammed Kayongo to his name. The 27-year-old out of Minneapolis has had a big 2015 that began with victories over Michael Balasi and Daniel Sostre and culminated with a hard fought decision over Juan Carlos Abreu in September. He will look to keep that momentum going when he fights in California for the first time as a pro on Januar 19.
A 2008 US-. Olympian, the 25-year-old has an opportunity to make an impact in the welterweight division when he goes up against his stiffest test to date. He comes from a fighting family that includes his twin brother Oscar, en 2012 Meksikansk Olympian, and older brother Carlos. Fighting out of nearby Commerce, California, Molina stopped Lenwood Dozier in his last bout and has won eight fights in a row dating back to 2012.
