NEW YORK – March 13, 2018 – Combate Americas announced six new matchups today for “Combate Estrellas I,” the premier Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise’s first live television event of 2018, and the first event of a two-part series featuring a collection of Combate Americas’ top estrellas, or “stars,” that will take place at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Ill. on Friday, Aprilis 13.

The newly announced bouts include a featherweight (145 libras) main card battle between fellow rising stars Jose “Froggy” Estrada (4-1), representing the U.S., atque Pablo “Gallo Negro” Sabori (8-4) in Mexico.
 

 

The matchup between Estrada, 27, who fights out of Ventura, Ill., and the 26-year-old Sabori of Tecate, Baja California, will precede the flyweight (125 libras) women’s co-main event between five-division world boxing champion Amanda "In Verus fac" Serrano, (0-0) representing Puerto Rico in her much-anticipated MMA rules debut, adversum Erendira “Aketzaly” Ordoñez (2-1) in Mexico, and the bantamweight (135 libras) main event rematch between John “Sexi Mexi” Castaneda (16-3), representing the U.S., atque Marc “Lufo” Gomez (21-11), representing Spain.
 

 

 

In “Combate Estrellas I” preliminary bout card action, Rafa “Gifted” Garcia (5-0) of Mexico will risk his perfect record in a lightweight (155 libras) scrap against fellow streaking prospect Chase “El Guero” Gibson (8-2) of the U.S.
 

 

A winner of Combate Americas’ first-ever open fighter tryout in 2016, the 25-year-old Garcia of Mexicali, Baja California, has defeated all of his opponents to date by way of submission inside of two rounds, while the 28-year-old Gibson, Pugnat de Los Angeles, is a winner of his last five bouts.

NEW YORK – Aprilis 25, 2017 – Combate Americas today announced a sensational, nine-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card that will take place at Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, Ill., in celebration of the “Cinco De Mayo” holiday, on Friday, May 5.

In the lightweight (155 libras) main event of “Combate 14,” undefeated, heavy-handed rising star Jose “Froggy” Estrada (3-0) cum dividentur Emilio “The Ferocious Aztec” Chavez (11-9).

The 5-foot-6, 26-year-old Estrada from Fillmore, Ill. has been on a tear since he made his professional debut with Combate Americas last April, stopping all three of his opponents to date inside of one round.

Chavez of Fullerton, Ill. is a flashy, 5-foot-9, 30-year-old competitor who will make the second start of his career in La Jaula, Cavea principalis in Americas decertaret. Streaking star John "Sexy Sexy" Castaneda (10-2) will step in for Erick Sanchez, who suffered a staph infection, and face off with Angel “Tito” Cruz(5-2) in tenui labor (145 libras) main event at “Aspira A Mas Presents Combate Americas: CombateOCHO,” while four-time UFC® veteran Danny “The Gremlin” Martinez will replace a hurt (knee injury) Jonathan Martinez(19-7) in the flyweight (125 libras) co-main event contest with Benjamin Vinson (8-3-1).
