“J'ai l'occasion de faire un grand combat samedi et c'est ce que je me suis entraîné pour. Je suis prêt et j'ai eu un camp d'entraînement. Je ne peux pas attendre pour entrer dans le ring.

“Ce combat nous est venu deux semaines plus tôt à l'U.S. Mon corps a pris l'habitude à la différence. Plus, le sparring en Alabama au gymnase Deontay Wilder vraiment m'a aidé à se préparer.

“Nous faisons tout droit et de la formation a été grande. Nous avons affrontées tant de tours, Je me sens très forte et prête à entrer dans le ring contre Kownacki.

“J'ai beaucoup de fans en Europe et que le soutien est la raison pour laquelle je peux même le faire et de concourir à ce niveau. Tout a été si parfait à venir au camp d'entraînement. Il me fait me sentir plus confiant que moi depuis de nombreuses années.

“Je me suis entraîné pendant des années avec une main cassée et ont eu des blessures dans le passé. Mais les deux dernières années, je suis en bonne santé et avec le même entraîneur et je me sens physiquement aussi bon que j'ai jamais.”

**EFE AJAGBA**

“Je suis très heureux d'être sur ce grand spectacle plein de poids lourds. Je suis impatient de samedi soir. Je remercie mon adversaire pour relever ce défi. Il est un bon combattant et nous sommes impatients de vous donner un grand combat.

“Dans la lutte Iago Kiladze je l'avais blessé et essayé de le terminer, mais je suis allé trop sauvage et laissé ma garde. Voilà pourquoi il a débarqué un coup de feu et m'a renversé. Je me sentais bien quand je me suis levé et je suis revenu et l'acheva.

“Il est à Cojanu comment le combat va. Nous allons voir s'il peut prendre mon coup de poing ou non le samedi. Nous verrons dans le ring s'il a un menton dur.

“Cojanu a beaucoup de bonne expérience contre de bons combattants. Il va essayer de me boîte, mais s'il ne peut pas prendre mon pouvoir, alors je serai en mesure de gagner le combat par KO. S'il peut le prendre, Je serai prêt à gagner une décision.”

**RAZVAN Cojanu**

“Efe est un combattant que je respecte beaucoup. Il est une grande perspective. Mais je suis prêt pour lui. Je suis très confiant en moi-même. J'ai eu un camp d'entraînement de six semaines. Tous ceux qui me pris en charge, Je vais les rendre fiers samedi.

“Pour ce combat, j'ai eu la chance de travailler avec Henry Tillman et il a fait une énorme différence dans mon jeu. Je sais que l'entraîneur ne peut pas se battre pour moi, mais je crois dans son plan et son jugement. Il sait comment je peux battre Efe Ajagba et vous samedi soir va me voir état de choc dans le monde.

“Les gens pensent Efe a déjà gagné le combat, mais je me sens bien. Il n'y a pas de pression sur mes épaules. Je n'ai rien à perdre. Je crois au karma et je crois qu'il est mon temps pour mon moment pour venir ce samedi.

“Je suis très heureux de se battre sur FOX pour la première fois. Bonne chance à tous les combattants à venir à travers santé et donner aux fans une grande performance toute la nuit.”

**FRANK SANCHEZ**

“Je suis très heureux de cette occasion de se battre sur cette grande carte PBC. Samedi va être un grand combat et vous pouvez vous attendre une grande performance de moi.

“Je souhaite bonne chance Joey samedi, mais pas trop de chance. Je vais montrer que je suis l'un des meilleurs poids lourds dans le monde.

“Il ne frappe pas à tout le monde. Avec ma défense et le mouvement, il ne va pas être en mesure de me faire du mal. J'ai tout besoin de dominer ce combat.

“Personne ne lui a jamais combattu est comme moi. Il va être choqué quand je livrerai un knock-out énorme samedi soir. Je vous vois dans le ring le samedi.”

**JOEY Dawejko**

“Je tiens à remercier tous ceux qui m'a aidé à cette occasion. J'ai l'occasion d'être à nouveau grand. Je connais un peu Frank Sanchez. Je sais qu'ils sont le mouvement rapide, mais je pense qu'ils ont pris la mauvaise lutte. Ils auraient dû attendre un couple plus de combats pour moi et je vais le prouver.

“Je suis en grande forme et j'ai eu un grand camp avec mon entraîneur Justin Fortune. Je ne peux pas attendre pour obtenir là-bas et donner à chacun un grand combat.

“L'expérience joue un grand rôle dans ce combat. J'ai eu une grande carrière amateur et je me suis battu dans le monde entier. J'ai sparred avec tous les champions en ce moment et il est tout va aider.

“Frank est un bon combattant, mais il n'est pas prêt pour moi. Il va essayer de me boîte, mais je vais être trop. Je prédis un knock-out. Il va être dans un grand choc. Il n'a pas tout ce que je ne l'ai pas déjà vu auparavant.”

Houston heavyweight boxer Darius Fulghum puts nursing career on hold to pursue Olympic dream

COLORADO SPRINGS, Tour. (Février 26, 2020) – Amateur boxers often take different routes on their personal journeys and Houston heavyweightDarius Fulghum has put his career outside the ring on hold to pursue his boxing dreams.

Fulghum was a wrestler in high school back in Killeen, Texas. He started boxing in 2015 and quickly developed a passion for the “Sweet Science,” largely because of it being a one-person sport. He didn’t need to rely on teammates, preferring to win or lose on his own accord. Although he was talented enough to be a collegiate wrestler, it would have been too much of a financial strain on his family.

“I had that competitive itch and was pretty good when I first started boxing,” Dariuis said. “I knew that I could do anything I put my mind to. I want to redefine boxing. I’m not a typical boxer who grew up on the streets. I don’t even like fighting; I’m passive and have never had a street fight.”

The 23-year-old Fulghum currently has his sights firmly set on representing his country in Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Pro boxing will follow but, pour l'instant, he’s training hard to qualify to compete in the Olympics by placing among the top three finishers at the America’s Qualification Tournament, 26 mars-avril 3, à Buenos Aires, Argentine. There will also be another “Last Chance” opportunity, si besoin, at the World Qualifier, Mai 13-14, à Paris, where the top three there will also qualify for the Olympics.

“It’s so hard to not think about the Olympics all the time,” he admits. “I try to not think about it too much, but it is on my mind because I’ve dreamed of being an Olympian and I’m so close right now. I’ve made the sacrifices to be an Olympian and then I’ll be an Olympian the rest of my life.

“I listen to my coaches. In the heat of the moment, when things are most stressful, I feel like the underdog and I perform up to the absolute moment. It was do-or-die at Olympic Trials. I just refuse to lose.”

Fulgham certainly responded to the pressure of the trials in a positive fashion, upsetting pre-trials favoriteAdrian Tillman dans la manche d'ouverture, and then rolling through opponents until he secured the title.

“People didn’t know me,” Fulgham explained. “I was the underdog because I didn’t compete in many tournaments because I was in (nursing) l'école. My finals were always in December (same time as USA Nationals). I did have a break in my schedule in 2018, when I won a gold medal at the National Golden Gloves Tournament. It’s just the way my schedule worked out. So, I hadn’t fought in many tournaments, but I was able to sneak in when it mattered most.”

Fulghum recently competed in his first international tournament at the prestigious Strandja Tournament in Bulgaria, winning one of two matches. The experience, bien que, was priceless, possibly career changing in terms of preparing for the Olympics.

“Not only was it my first international tournament," il a noté, “it was the first time I had boxed without headgear (as will be the case in the Olympics), and I fought guys from foreign countries with different styles. It was a great experience because now I won’t be going blind into the Olympic Qualifier.”

Members of the USA Boxing Olympic Qualification Team, like Fulghum, are on break before returning for training with his teammates at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

“I reported there for the first time this past January 2nd and I love it,” Fulghum noted. “Every athlete dreams of training with top athletes where there are no distractions and top coaches. I wake up, manger, sommeil, train and do that all over again the next day. That’s my schedule.”

Fulghum earned his nursing degree last May, but right now and for the immediate future he’s fully concentrating on boxing.

“I put education first and got my degree,” Fulgham concluded. “I’ll always have nursing after boxing. But I dreamed of going to the Olympics all through school. I put boxing on hold and now I’ve put nursing to the side so I can put my all into boxing. I didn’t want to juggle nursing and boxing. I couldn’t be the best at either that way.

“I do plan to turn pro because I love boxing so much. I need to box when I’m young. I’ll go as far as I can go in boxing and I’ll always having nursing.”

Darius Fulgham has taken a circuitous route in life from nursing to boxing. It’ll be worth it, bien que, if he makes it to Tokyo as part of Team USA for the 2020 Jeux olympiques.

Mon rêve était devenu réalité, mes mains tremblaient, et j'ai perdu ma médaille. Quelle nuit!"

Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs) is noted for his tenacity and has been progressing towards a world title shot with knockouts in five of his last seven fights. Who will be the true king of heavyweights? Wilder and Fury will decide in 2020

Despite rumors surrounding it for years, professional boxing is still alive, and it’s still far in front of MMA judged by public interest and the prize money. One of the reasons for that are heavyweights, especially Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and a bit less Anthony Joshua who just avenged the only loss of his career. Encore, there is no doubt that Wilder and Fury are the cream of the crop, and their fight in 2020 will decide who is the king of the most popular division.

We won’t have to wait much for the dream match, as the contract is signed for February 22nd, as the fight will take in Las Vegas, probably in MGM grand where Fury made his impressive American debut, destroying Tom Schwartz in June 2019. Wilder also loves the place, since he became a champion there, defeating Bermane Stiverne and he recently defended the title against Ortiz. But what makes their second bout as exciting as RPG Sex Games, is that no one is a clear favorite.

The thing is Wilder and Fury are extremely different fighters. Fury is in the best shape of his career recently, and when it comes to boxing skills, he is far ahead of Wilder. As demonstrated by their first meeting, Fury is not a one-trick pony as he knows how to change pace and attack his opponent with both hands and in different ways. He can punch, but he is far from being impatient. He is the reason why no one believes that his match against the American will end early. Even on his bad day, Fury can withstand almost anything and knows how to overturn the match. As for the Wilder, he is a whole different story. He started boxing very late, and during his career, he was doubted even by experts that claimed he is a contender at best. There is no doubt about it – Wilder is the one with the ultimate power. Give him a chance to land a solid punch, and that is probably it for the night. That alone is what made him come out of the match with Fury undefeated, rocking him twice. Mais, Fury is the first opponent that was able to get up after such devastating shots, even though that took away his victory.

It’s hard to predict the winner as it’s much easier to make a list of excellent Android Sex Games. What we can predict is that this fight will highly unlikely be finished in early rounds, as it is highly unlikely that Wilder will win if he doesn’t drop Fury a few times. Judged by that, Fury looks like an early favorite in this one, but when you have a strong puncher like Wilder, it’s almost impossible not to let him land a single devastating punch in all 12 tours. If you are neutral and want to see a good fight, this is the one you don’t want to miss!

Ortiz (31-1, 26 KOs) has ripped off three-straight victories since suffering the only loss of his career in that first match with Wilder in 2018, including most recently winning a unanimous decision over Christian Hammer on March 2. The 31-year-old has been a dominant force in the featherweight division since 2015, including two thrilling featherweight title duels against Abner Mares and Carl Frampton each.
