LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Février 10, 2020) – Champion invaincu du poids welter NABF Blair «The Flair» Cobbs (14-0-1, 10 KOs) a organisé une séance d'entraînement pour les médias à Las Vegas samedi en préparation de son prochain combat contre Samuel Kotey (23-2, 16 KOs) qui a lieu vendredi, Février 14 au Honda Center d'Anaheim, Californie.


Cobbs, qui est géré par Greg Hannely de Prince Ranch de boxe et promu par Golden Boy Promotions, fera son 2020 débuts dans le cadre de la Ryan Garcia contre Francisco Fonseca carte, qui sera diffusé en direct DAZN à 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.

Ce fut un sacré voyage de retour aux États-Unis depuis le Mexique, où j'ai appris à combattre le style mexicain, jetant toujours de gros coups pour divertir les fans. Combattre chez les amateurs au Mexique, c'est comme se battre chez les pros. Parfois, nous n'utilisions pas de couvre-chef. C'était fou, mais cela a fait de moi le combattant que je suis aujourd'hui. »

LAS VEGAS (Août. 27, 2017) – Temple de la renommée de la boxe du futur Floyd “Argent” Mayweather a terminé sa carrière historique en beauté Samedi nuit avec une victoire technique convaincante au 10e tour contre la méga-star de l'UFC Conor McGregor dans l'événement principal d'un événement PPV SHOWTIME de quatre combats depuis la T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 40 ans, se battre pour la première fois en 714 journées, a annoncé après le combat qu'il ne se battra plus jamais, mettant fin à sa carrière de 21 ans avec style en contrôlant un combat d'action qui a ravi le 14,623 fans présents et regardant dans le monde entier. Avec Mayweather s'avançant comme il l'avait promis, l'arbitre Robert Byrd a arrêté le combat des super poids welters à 1:05 du 10e ronde alors que Mayweather a puni McGregor avec une série de coups qui ont étonné son adversaire fatigué.
Avec la victoire, le champion du monde en cinq divisions de Las Vegas devient le premier boxeur à terminer sa carrière à 50-0, éclipsant le record qu'il avait précédemment partagé avec le légendaire Rocky Marciano.
“Je pense que nous avons donné aux fans ce qu'ils voulaient voir,” Mayweather a déclaré au journaliste de SHOWTIME Jim Gray après le combat. “Je leur devais pour le combat de Pacquiao. Je devais aller droit devant et donner un spectacle aux fans. C’est ce que je leur ai donné.”

Juan Heraldez Recovers From Knockdown to Win Decision Over Jose Miguel Borrego in Battle of Unbeaten Prospects

LAS VEGAS (Août 26, 2017) – Welterweight Yordenis Ugas (20-3, 9 KOs) took home a unanimous decision victory over Thomas Dulorme (24-3, 16 KOs) despite being knocked down in Mayweather vs. McGregor preliminary action presented by Mayweather Promotions on FOX and FOX Deportes Saturday night from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Both men looked to establish their jab in round one but in round two Ugas landed a big uppercut that stunned Dulorme and forced him to take a knee. Dulorme rose to his feet and tried to fire back but was hit with a right hand that put him down for the second time in the round.
“Ce était un grand combat,” said Ugas. “I knew that Dulorme had a great camp preparing for Shawn Porter so when I knocked him down I figured he would get up. I only had nine days to prepare for this fight so I had to be smart and not waste anything.”
“Ce était un bon combat,” Saïd Dulorme. “Ce fut un combat très difficile. I came to fight and I took him seriously. I kept working. It was up and down but I kept working.
The bout was defined by good back and forth action with both men having their moments in control. Dulorme was committed to attacking the body to slow Ugas but was given a warning for low blows in the fifth round. Dulorme continued to test the body however and strayed too low early in the seventh round, forçant arbitre Vic Drakulich de déduire un point.

“Je pensais que l'arbitre a perdu le combat pour moi,” Saïd Dulorme. “Je ne suis pas d'accord avec lui. Je ne pensais pas que je jetais des coups bas. Je pensais que c'était propre. Je pensais qu'il était fatigué en fin de combat alors j'ai essayé d'augmenter la pression. Mais il était difficile parce que l'arbitre ne m'a pas laissé travailler à l'intérieur comme je voulais.”
“Je me suis un peu fatigué à la fin et aurait dû fermer le spectacle,” said Ugas. “Mais cela se produit avec des combats à court préavis. Je dois simplement continuer de se améliorer.”
Les trois juges ont vu le combat en faveur des Ugas par des dizaines de 94-91 et 93-92 deux fois.
“Je vais retourner dans le camp et continuer à apprendre,” Saïd Dulorme. “Je ne suis pas heureux, mais je vais continuer à apprendre. Je suis descendu de la parole aujourd'hui et continué à me battre et je vais continuer à le faire dans ma carrière.”
Le combat d'ouverture de la scie à télédiffusion Juan Heraldez (13-0, 8 KOs) boîte de son chemin à une décision unanime Image de balise Jose Miguel Borrego (12-1, 11 KOs) dans leur combat welters 10 rounds.
“Je suis très préparé et je profitais de cette occasion,” Ledit Heraldez. “J'ai exécuté mon plan et je suis sorti avec une nette victoire. Autre que le knockdown, Je pensais que je lui outboxed tous les tour. “La Commission paritaire de recours était vraiment la clé ce soir. Heraldez contrôle l'anneau pour une grande partie de la lutte avec son jab et de mouvement à l'extérieur, tandis que Borrego semblait concentré sur la prestation des coups de puissance et un knock-out. Heraldez contrôlé le rythme dans les premiers tours, atterrissage des combinaisons de notation avant dardant de la route et d'éviter le feu de retour de Borrego.
“Heraldez a couru toute la lutte,” Ledit Borrego. “I’m happy that the fans booed the decision because they know he ran. I came to entertain the fans and that’s what I did.”
The 19-year-old Borrego was content to cover up and duck low while trying to navigate through Heraldez’s jab, but was unable to land enough left hooks to win early rounds in the fight. He had his first moment at the very end of the sixth when a looping left hook connected clean with Heraldez and appeared to stun him right before the bell ended the round.
Borrego continued to attack aggressively as he chased Heraldez with big power punches. In round nine Borrego connected cleanly with a left hook that put Heraldez on the mat midway through the round.
“I let myself get distracted and that’s why I got knocked down,” Ledit Heraldez. I got a little ahead of myself. I’m the only person who can stop myself.
Despite Borrego’s continued aggression, Heraldez was able to hold on and survive the round without much further damage.
“I have to cut the ring off better,” Ledit Borrego. “I also need to let my hands go more and throw three or four punch combinations instead of just one or two at a time.”
The final round saw Heraldez return to using his movement as he was able to avoid the charging Borrego for the last three minutes. Après 10 tours, all three judges scored the bout in favor of Heraldez by scores of 96-93 et 97-92 deux fois.
“It feels great to be on this stage and it’s moments like these where I can go out and compete and I can prove everyone right who gave me this chance,” Ledit Heraldez. “This was a prospect fight and now I’m on to bigger and better things. I’m ready to take the next step.”

LAS VEGAS (Août 24, 2017) – Fighters competing on the Mayweather vs. McGregor undercard spoke to media and went face-to-face Jeudi, one day before they weigh-in ahead of their Samedi, Août. 26 showdowns at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The four-fight SHOWTIME PPV event, beginning live at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, will feature undefeated rising star Gervonta “Réservoir” Davis making the second defense of his 130-pound title against undefeated challenger Francisco Fonseca plus light heavyweight champion Nathan astucieuse defending his belt against former super middleweight champion Badou Jack. The telecast begins with unbeaten Andrew Tabiti et ancien champion du monde Steve Cunningham meeting in a 10-round battle.
Coverage begins on FOX and FOX Deportes with a one-hour Prefight Show at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT. Prelims on FOX and FOX Deportes begin at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and will see a battle between welterweight contenders Thomas Dulorme et Yordenis Ugasplus a showdown of unbeaten prospects as Juan Heraldez répond Image de balise Jose Miguel Borrego dans un combat de 10 rounds.

“I feel like my career is very similar to Floyd’s so far. We started out at the same weight and we each got our first belt at 130-pounds. I just want to live up to what he’s accomplished and accomplish even more. I believe that I have the skills and the ability to be the big star in this sport.
“I just try to stay grounded because I know what I want to do in this sport. Because I have the belief in myself it’s easy for me to stay focused. I also think I have the best team in this sport and they help me every step of the way.
“Fonseca is a very good fighter. He’s very fast and sharp. He’s got a long reach but I know that he hasn’t fought anyone that has the skills that I have. Je ne suis pas lui donnant. I’m training really hard for this.
“I was in the position he’s in now. I know how him and his team are feeling. I know what I have to do to be victorious. I’m going to come out sharp and hopefully pick up even more fans than I have now.
“I want to unify this division and then move up in weight and keep adding titles. If I can’t get a unification bout next, then I’m going to move up for new challenges.

“The huge audience won’t intimidate me. I’ve dreamt my whole life to be in an event of this magnitude.
“I take this fight as a big responsibility. My dream has always been to fight in an event of this magnitude. My goal is to be a champion and come out of this with a belt on my waist.
“The preparation has been long. I’ve had five months of training in intense conditions. I feel strong mentally. Sur Août 26, I aim to reach my goal as a champion for Costa Rica.
“This is an opportunity to start writing my legacy. Gervonta is tough because he is a champion, but I have the hunger and motivation to win and be a champion.

“I don’t think Tabiti is at the top level yet. He has flaws and strengths but at the end of the day, he has a fight Samedi. He’s in there with a two-time world champion so he’s going to have to fight Samedi.
“Every fight on this level is a huge fight. I’ve been in the ring with some monsters. Some of the best cruiserweights and heavyweights in the world. I don’t think that I look 41 but you’ll have to let me know Samedi.
“I think this is what Tabiti has been waiting for. I will be nice and calm and be right in his face and right in his chest.
“When these guys hang around Floyd they want to be like him and they’ve been around these events, so I don’t think the atmosphere will affect him. But once we’re in the ring, it’s just me and him.”

LAS VEGAS (Août 23, 2017) – Fight week for the biggest event in combat sports history continued Wednesday as Floyd Mayweather et Conor McGregor squared off at the final press conference ahead of the SHOWTIME PPV matchup this Samedi, Août. 26 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The fighters spoke to hundreds of media from all around the world as the anticipation continues to grow for this once-in-a-lifetime event that combines the worlds of boxing and MMA for one spectacular fight.
Here is what the participants had to say Wednesday from KA Theatre at MGM Grand:
Floyd Mayweather
“I’ve been here so many times. I know what it takes for a fight of this magnitude. I’m thankful to everyone who has covered this event. Everyone can talk about different storylines, but it comes down to two fighters. Just me and the guy I’m competing against.
“I had a tremendous training camp. We had a lot of different guys who gave me different looks. To compete in a combat sport, you have to be a fighter at the end of the day. To be in this sport for 21 ans, I had to take it extremely seriously, just like I did for this bout.
“Everyone knows I can fight. I can give it and I can take. But to get to 49-0, it’s obvious that I’m not receiving it, I’m giving it a lot more often.
“Conor McGregor is a hell of a fighter. He’s a tough competitor. It’s going to be blood sweat and tears Samedi nuit. That’s what we want to give people all around the world. Now it comes down to the two of us going out there and displaying our skills.

“This is great for the city of Las Vegas. It’s all about giving back and I’m giving back to my home of Las Vegas. This city has welcomed me with open arms from day one. We’re doing great numbers. It’s the biggest fight in history. It’s not just a fight, it’s an event. It’s all about breaking my own records.
“I’ve said it’s not going the distance and you can mark my words. I know he’s going to come out and switch and go back and forth with stances. It’s my job to execute my game plan and adjust if I have to.”
CONOR MCGREGOR
“We’re here now. It’s a couple days out. We’ve had a lot of crazy events but this is nice and business-like. I’m very happy with how camp has gone. Everything has been absolutely amazing. I have to shout out my team and everyone who’s been involved with camp. We’re prepared for 12 rounds of nonstop pace. I will go forward and put the pressure on and break this old man.
“He made a big error agreeing to the eight ounce gloves. I don’t see him lasting two rounds. I think I could end him in one round if I want. He messed up. I’m very happy with these gloves. I don’t care where your hands are, I’m going to break through whatever is in front of me.
“I really appreciate the support from everyone back home and all over the world, it’s been very humbling and motivating. That’s why I’ve put in such hard work for this fight. I’m going to go out and perform. I’m going to out box this man at his own game. That’s how much of a different level I’m on.
“When it’s all said and done I’m going to feel a little bit sad. You should have kept your mouth shut and left me over where I was. This man is not on my level. He’s not a quarter of the man I am. Everyone is going to eat their words Samedi.

LAS VEGAS (Août 22, 2017) – Floyd Mayweather et Conor McGregor official kicked off fight week events Tuesday with grand arrivals at the Toshiba Plaza ahead of the SHOWTIME PPV event this Samedi, Août. 26 taking place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Also making an official grand arrival in Las Vegas was unbeaten Francisco Fonseca, who challenges 130-pound champion Gervonta Davis, plus light heavyweight titleholder Nathan astucieuse and former 168-pound champion Badou Jack, who meet in a 12-round title fight on the PPV undercard. The SHOWTIME PPV telecast begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT avec invaincu Andrew Tabiti et ancien champion du mondeSteve Cunningham meeting in a 10-round battle after making their grand arrivals Tuesday.

“I like the move from five to three minute rounds. I feel like I’ve built a solid engine that is going to last me through the rest of my career and help me in the fight. We’ve put in the work. I’ve fought many 12-rounders.
“The Irish are rolling in and whenever we roll in, we take over. It was amazing to see all the Irish fans out today. It’s going to be a great spectacle.
“If people are overlooking my size, power and youth, they shouldn’t be. I’m very confident in those attributes. I believe I’ll knock him out early.
“If you look at the way I fight, I am a fast starter. I come out and bang people right away. With eight ounce gloves, I don’t see him lasting more than one or two rounds.

NEW YORK - Août 21, 2017 - Sean Combs and Mark Wahlberg are doubling down on the upcoming SHOWTIME PPV matchup between pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC champion “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. Sports Showtime® has released a new video where superstars Combs and Wahlberg are following up on their previous Mayweather vs. Pacquiao wager. This time they are going double-or-nothing, with Combs betting again on Mayweather and Wahlberg putting his money down on McGregor. Lovato is a Grammy nominated artist with over six billion global single streams and nine platinum and multi-platinum singles to her name. Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor is a 12-round, super welterweight matchup that pits the legendary boxer Mayweather against the all-time MMA great McGregor in the main event of an unprecedented four-fight pay-per-view boxing card. Mayweather vs. McGregor takes place onSamedi, Août 26 à 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event is produced and distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV and promoted by Mayweather Promotions. The telecast also will be available in Spanish using secondary audio programming (SAP).
