DUSTY HERNANDEZ-HARRISON + DUSTIN FLEISCHER FIGHT RESULTS FROM SATURDAY, September 26, 2015
På lørdag, September 26, Dusty-Hernandez-Harrison fikk sin 15th knockout mot James Wayka (16-14-1, 8 KO s) Green Bay Wisconsin på Masonic Temple i Norfolk, Virginia. Hernandez-Harrison stoppet Wayka på 1:18 av første runde med en kave av kroppen slag som fulgte en knockdown.

I hovedturneringen, junior mellomvekt Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna vil ta del i en 6-round bout mot veteran Ayi Bruce.
I den forventede co-feature, “Brutal” Brendan Barrett tar på Satario Holdbrooks i en tungvekt planlagt for 4-runder.
Barrett av Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey er en populær figur rundt Beach Haven / Long Beach Island området på grunn av ham å være en 6-tiden MMA tungvekt.
Barrett har meislet ut en veldig bra MMA karriere, men har alltid hatt kløe å bli en bokser.
Barrett har erfaring i firkantede ringen som han har en uavgjort i en kamp som han deltok i 2006.
“Da jeg tok den første boksing kampen var det bare å gjøre det, og å holde seg aktiv. Min viktigste bakgrunnen ble bryting, men hver gang det ringte jeg ønsket bare å kaste slag. År siden ville jeg se The Contender og se hvordan boksere ble portrettert som profesjonelle og respektfull utøvere i forhold til noen av de andre kampene reality show på den tiden. Jeg begynte å lære mer om historien og arven fra boksing og ble mer og mer interessert i sporten.”
“Jeg var allerede en etablert MMA fighter da jeg tok min første boksing kamp. Jeg gikk ut til Pittsburgh for å trene for en andre boksing kamp, men flere motstandere falt gjennom og showet ble til slutt avlyst på grunn av en snøstorm. Etter den kampen falt gjennom jeg ble tilbudt en annen MMA fight, for første gang ved HWT, med en motspiller som avviste å kjempe meg som en siste øyeblikk erstatning mot ham på en kamp han var planlagt for. Måneder senere ringte han meg ut nå ønsker å kjempe. Jeg tok det ganske personlig, så jeg gikk tilbake til MMA for å bekjempe ham og vant. Etter det begynte jeg å få en rekke tilbud for å kjempe på HWT i MMA, og siden ble en 6 tid HWT Champion over fire forskjellige kampanjer, men likevel ønsket å bokse igjen.”
Barrett startet selskapet H.I.T.M. Kampanjer, som står for History In The Making, fordi han var lei av å vente på en mulighet i boksing, og ønsket også å hjelpe andre jagerfly fremme sine egne karrierer.
“Jeg har ofret så mye og tilegnet meg så lenge at jeg følte det var på tide å ta kontroll over min egen skjebne. Uansett hvor hardt jeg jobber eller hvor forberedt jeg er, Jeg var alltid igjen venter på en mulighet. Å ha min egen reklameselskapet fjerner vente. Jeg kan nå kjempe på andre forestillinger, eller min egen og holde meg aktiv. Jeg begynte H.I.T.M. Kampanjer ikke å være en promoter, men for å være en fighter. Mitt fokus er helt på denne lørdagen, men på baksiden av hodet mitt jeg allerede tenker på å fremme et annet vis. Dette er i utgangspunktet den mest avgjørende kampen i min karriere. Ikke bare er jeg overgangen tilbake til boksing, men det er min første kamp tilbake fra en skade i hånden min som skulle ha avsluttet min karriere. Barrett sa være en fighter og en promoter har ikke vært lett når han legger ut på sin andre opptreden i ringen.
“Det har vært vanskelig å gjøre med alle de telefonsamtaler, e-post, og planlegging, alt mens du prøver å forberede seg til en kamp. Det har vært tider da jeg gjorde min morgen cardio på, og jeg vil være på telefonen mens du trener håndtering virksomhet. Som kampen kom nærmere, Jeg måtte tvinge meg selv til å ta mer tid til å trene og forberede meg. Det var vanskelig å holde fokus til tider fordi min motstander holdt endring, og når den siste falt gjennom og de nevnte Holdbrooks, Jeg sa ja, så jeg kunne kjempe.”
“Jeg er beæret over å ha talent den vi har på dette kortet er at dette er vår første utstilling. Jeg føler meg velsignet å kjempe i min bakgård av Long Beach Island, og dette bør være en stor kveld for handling.”

Cotto Receives Honorary Title of “Athlete of the Year”
NEW YORK (Mai 26, 2015) – The National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP) today announced that its 2015 Parade, planlagt for Søndag, Juni 14 on New York’s Fifth Avenue, will officially kick off a week of festivities with the WBC and Ring Magazine Middleweight World Championship fight between Miguel Cotto and Daniel Geale on Lørdag, Juni 6, 2015 ved Barclays Center i Brooklyn. It was also announced that Miguel Cotto, Roc Nation Sports and Miguel Cotto Promotions will be making a contribution to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Fund.

The NPRDP established the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Awards Program to help promote the pursuit of higher education within the community. I 2015, the organization will double the total dollar figure and number of scholarships awarded from the previous year to 30 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. In celebration of the 2015 class of scholarship winners, Miguel Cotto, Roc Nation Sports and Miguel Cotto Promotions will be contributing $5,000 to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Fund in support of helping other high school and college students pay for their educations.
