DUSTY HERNANDEZ-HARRISON + DUSTIN FLEISCHER FIGHT RESULTATEN VAN ZATERDAG, September 26, 2015
Op Zaterdag, September 26, Dusty-Hernandez-Harrison verdiende zijn 15th knock-out tegen James Wayka (16-14-1, 8 KO's) Green Bay Wisconsin in de Masonic Tempel in Norfolk, Virginia. Hernandez-Harrison gestopt Wayka op 1:18 van de eerste ronde met een vlaag van het lichaam stoten die een knock-down gevolgd.

Afkomstig uit Washington, D.C. met een ongeslagen professionele record van 28-0 (15 KO's), Hernandez-Harrison is het aantal 15 beoordeeld weltergewicht in de wereld door de WBC en de regerende WBC Continental Americas weltergewicht kampioen. Op het moment van zijn eerste pro bout op de leeftijd van 17, Hernandez-Harrison was een amateur record van gecompileerde 167-30, het winnen van diverse Ringside WK, Nationale Silver Gloves Kampioenschappen en drie rechte nationale Golden Gloves Kampioenschappen uit 2007 naar 2009.
Ook, op zaterdag, September 26, Dustin "The White Tiger" Fleischer nam Ira Frank (1-0, 1 KO) van Milwaukee, Wisconsin in een vier-ronde weltergewicht bout op Veteran's Memorial Park in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Fleischer beveiligd zijn vierde knock-out in vier professionele uitstapjes, behoud van zijn perfecte record op 2:53 van de eerste ronde met een stroperige rechterhand op het hoofd.

In het main event, junior middengewicht Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna zal deelnemen in een 6-ronde wedstrijd tegen veteraan Ayi Bruce.
In de verwachte co-feature, “Brutaal” Brendan Barrett neemt Satario Holdbrooks in een zwaargewicht gepland voor 4-rondes.
Barrett van Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey is een populaire figuur rond de Beach Haven / Long Beach Island gebied als gevolg van hem wordt een 6-time MMA zwaargewicht kampioen.
Barrett heeft gesneden uit een geweldige MMA carrière, maar heeft altijd de jeuk om een bokser te worden.
Barrett heeft ervaring in het kwadraat cirkel als hij een gelijkspel in een gevecht dat hij heeft deelgenomen aan 2006.
“Toen ik de eerste boksen gevecht was het alleen maar om het te doen en om actief te blijven. Mijn belangrijkste achtergrond worstelde, maar elke keer als de bel ging ik wilde alleen maar om stoten te gooien. Jaren geleden zou ik The Contender kijken en zien hoe de boksers werden afgeschilderd als professionals en respectvol atleten in vergelijking met sommige van de andere gevechten reality shows van de tijd. Ik begon meer te leren over de geschiedenis en de erfenis van boksen en werd meer en meer geïnteresseerd in de sport.”
“Ik was al een gevestigde MMA vechter toen ik mijn eerste boksen gevecht. Ik ging naar Pittsburgh om te trainen voor een tweede boks gevecht, maar een aantal tegenstanders viel door en de show werd uiteindelijk afgelast vanwege een sneeuwstorm. Na die strijd ging niet door ik nog een MMA gevecht werd aangeboden, voor de eerste keer bij HWT, met een tegenstander die weigerde me te vechten als een last minute vervanging tegen hem op een strijd die hij was gepland voor. Maanden later belde hij me nu willen vechten. Ik vond dat nogal persoonlijk, dus ik ging terug naar MMA om hem te vechten en won. Daarna ben ik begonnen met het krijgen van een veel aanbiedingen om te vechten bij HWT in MMA en sindsdien werd een 6 tijd HWT kampioen in vier verschillende promoties, toch wilde weer vak.”
Barrett begon het bedrijf H.I.T.M. Promoties, die staan voor Geschiedenis In The Making, omdat hij moe van het wachten op een kans in het boksen was, en ook wilde helpen andere vechters verder hun eigen loopbaan.
“Ik heb zoveel mezelf opgeofferd en speciaal voor zo lang dat ik voelde dat het tijd was om de controle over mijn eigen lot te nemen. Maakt niet uit hoe hard ik werk of hoe bereid ik ben, Ik was altijd links wachten op een kans. Het hebben van mijn eigen promotie-bedrijf verwijdert de wachtruimte. Ik kan nu vechten op andere shows, of mijn eigen en houd me actief. Ik begon H.I.T.M. Promotions niet een promoter, maar om een vechter te zijn. Mijn focus ligt volledig op deze zaterdag, maar in de achterkant van mijn gedachten ben ik al aan het nadenken over het bevorderen van andere show. Dit is eigenlijk de meest cruciale strijd in mijn carrière. Ik ben niet alleen de overgang terug naar boksen, maar het is mijn eerste gevecht terug van een blessure aan mijn hand, dat mijn carrière zou zijn beëindigd. Daarbovenop, Het is de eerste tonen van mijn bedrijf ooit heeft bevorderd. Ik voelde dat het houden van deze strijd in Beach Haven was een geweldige manier om iets anders en speciaal aan de lokale gemeenschap te doen en terug te keren naar een plek die ik zo veel van hebben gekregen te geven.”
Dus op de vraag of dit het einde van zijn carrière MMA, Barrett staat open voor alles.
“Ik eerlijk gezegd niet veel nagedacht over MMA. Ik wil echt boksen houden, maar ik heb niet helemaal de deur dicht op MMA.
Barrett zei dat een vechter en een promotor is niet gemakkelijk geweest als hij begint aan zijn 2e verschijning in de ring.
“Het is moeilijk omgaan met alle telefoontjes, e-mails, en planning, allemaal terwijl het proberen voor te bereiden op een gevecht. Er zijn momenten waarop ik aan het doen was mijn ochtend cardio op en ik zou aan de telefoon tijdens het werken op de behandeling van zaken. Naarmate de strijd dichterbij kwam, Ik moest mezelf dwingen om meer tijd te nemen om te trainen en me voor te bereiden. Het was moeilijk om geconcentreerd te blijven op keer omdat mijn tegenstander bleef veranderen, en wanneer de laatste ging niet door en ze genoemd Holdbrooks, Ik zei gewoon ja, dus ik kon vechten.”
“Ik ben vereerd om het talent van de we op deze kaart zijn hebben dat dit is onze eerste show. Ik voel me gezegend om te vechten in mijn achtertuin van Long Beach Island en dit zou een geweldige avond van actie.”

Cotto Receives Honorary Title of “Athlete of the Year”

The NPRDP established the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Awards Program to help promote the pursuit of higher education within the community. In 2015, the organization will double the total dollar figure and number of scholarships awarded from the previous year to 30 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 elk. In celebration of the 2015 class of scholarship winners, Miguel Cotto, Roc Nation Sports and Miguel Cotto Promotions will be contributing $5,000 to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Fund in support of helping other high school and college students pay for their educations.

De 2015 National Puerto Rican Day Parade will take place on Zondag, Juni 14, uit 11:00 AM naar 5:00 PM on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
