In der Ko-Funktion zu erwarten, “Brutal” Brendan Barrett übernimmt Satario Holdbrooks in einem Schwergewichts-4-Runden angesetzt.
Barrett von Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey ist eine beliebte Figur auf der Beach Haven / Long Beach Island Bereich gebührt ihm ein 6-time MMA Schwergewichtsweltmeister.
Barrett hat eine tolle MMA Karriere geschnitzt, aber hatte schon immer den Juckreiz, um ein Boxer zu werden.
Barrett hat Erfahrung in den Kreis quadriert, wie er ein Unentschieden in einem Kampf, der er teilnahm 2006.
“Als ich die ersten Boxkampf es war einfach, es zu tun und aktiv zu bleiben. Mein Haupt Hintergrund rang, aber jedesmal, wenn die Glocke läutete ich wollte nur Schläge zu werfen. Vor Jahren hätte ich die Conte beobachten und zu sehen, wie die Boxer als Profis und respekt Sportler porträtiert im Vergleich zu einigen der anderen Kampf Reality-Shows des Zeit. Ich fing an, mehr über die Geschichte und das Vermächtnis von Boxen und wurde mehr und mehr in den Sport interessiert.”
“Ich war schon ein etabliertes MMA-Kämpfer, als ich meinen ersten Boxkampf. Ich ging nach Pittsburgh, um für einen zweiten Boxkampf zu trainieren, sondern mehrere Gegner fiel durch und die Show wurde schließlich wegen eines Schneesturms abgesagt. Nach fiel dieser Kampf durch Ich war ein weiteres MMA-Kampf angeboten, zum ersten Mal bei HWT, mit einem Gegner, das mir als Last-Minute-Ersatz gegen ihn zu einem Kampf wurde er für geplante Kampf zurückgegangen. Monate später rief er mich jetzt wollen kämpfen. Ich nahm das nicht persönlich, so ging ich zurück zu MMA, ihn zu kämpfen und gewann. Danach bekam ich eine Menge Angebote auf HWT in MMA kämpfen und da wurde ein 6 Zeit HWT-Champion auf vier verschiedene Aktionen, dennoch wollte wieder zu boxen.”
Barrett begann das Unternehmen H.I.T.M. Promotions, die für die Geschichte stehen in der Herstellung, weil er es leid, auf eine Gelegenheit warten im Boxen war, und wollte auch helfen, andere Kämpfer weiter ihre eigene Karriere.
“Ich habe so viel ich mich so lange getötet und gewidmet, dass ich fühlte, dass es Zeit war, die Kontrolle über mein eigenes Schicksal zu übernehmen. Egal, wie hart ich arbeite, oder, wie bereit ich, Ich war immer links auf eine Gelegenheit warten. Mit meiner eigenen Werbe-Unternehmen beseitigt die Warte. Ich kann jetzt auf andere Shows kämpfen, oder meine eigene und aktiv zu halten mich. Ich begann H.I.T.M. Promotions nicht zu einem Promotor, sondern ein Kämpfer sein. Mein Fokus liegt ganz an diesem Samstag, aber im Hinterkopf Ich bin schon Gedanken über die Förderung eine weitere Show. Dies ist im Grunde die entscheidenden Kampf in meiner Karriere. Ich bin nicht nur den Übergang zurück zum Boxen, aber es ist mein erster Kampf zurück von einer Verletzung an der Hand, die meine Karriere beendet haben sollte. Hinzu kommt, dass, Es ist die erste zu zeigen mein Unternehmen überhaupt gefördert hat. Ich fühlte, dass das Halten dieser Kampf in Beach Haven war eine großartige Möglichkeit, um etwas anders und besonders für die lokale Gemeinschaft zu machen und zurück zu einem Ort, den ich so sehr von bekommen geben.”

“Ich habe ehrlich gesagt nicht viel über MMA dachte,. Ich wirklich zum Boxen behalten wollen, aber ich habe nicht ganz die Tür auf MMA herunter.
Barrett sagte, ein Kämpfer und ein Promotor ist nicht leicht gewesen, als er begibt sich auf seinen zweiten Auftritt im Ring.
“Es hat sich mit all den Telefonaten schwierig Handel, E-Mails, und Planung, alle bei dem Versuch, auf einen Kampf vorbereiten. Es gab Zeiten, als ich am Morgen tue mein Herz und ich würde am Telefon während der Arbeit aus der Abwicklung des Geschäfts. Als der Kampf näher gekommen, Ich musste mich zwingen, um mehr Zeit zu trainieren und mich vorbereiten. Es war schwer, in Zeiten konzentriert zu bleiben, weil mein Gegner hat sich verändert, und wenn der letzte fiel durch, und sie erwähnt Holdbrooks, Ich sagte nur ja, damit ich kämpfen konnte.”

Cotto Receives Honorary Title of “Athlete of the Year”

The NPRDP established the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Awards Program to help promote the pursuit of higher education within the community. In 2015, the organization will double the total dollar figure and number of scholarships awarded from the previous year to 30 scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each. In celebration of the 2015 class of scholarship winners, Miguel Cotto, Roc Nation Sports and Miguel Cotto Promotions will be contributing $5,000 to the National Puerto Rican Day Parade Scholarship Fund in support of helping other high school and college students pay for their educations.
