MONTRÉAL (Septembre 25, 2018) – Les fans de boxe, préparer votre agenda: World Boxing Council (WBC) et lutte lumière lineal titre mondial des poids lourds entre le champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (29-1-1, 24 KOs) et le challenger obligatoire, Oleksandr “Le clou” Gvozdyk (15-0-0, 12 KOs), aura lieu Décembre 1 au Centre Vidéotron à Québec.

Fédération internationale de boxe (IBF) super mi-moyens challenger obligatoire Marie-Eve Dicaire (13-0-0, 0 KOs), Fédération nord-américaine de boxe (NABF) champion poids lourd Oscar Rivas (24-0-0, 17 KOs), WBC mi-moyens internationaux Mikael Zewski(31-1-0, 22 KOs) et favori des fans Sébastien Bouchard (16-1-0, 6 KOs) prendra également part à cet événement de gala.

Reconnu comme l'un des puncheurs les plus puissants, livre-pour-livre, dans le monde de la boxe, Stevenson tentera de défendre avec succès son titre pour la 10e fois le 1er Décembre.

 

 

 

Dans sa dernière sortie en mai 19 au Centre Air Canada à Toronto, il a combattu un match nul avec l'ancien WBA des lourds légers et WBC des super-moyens champion du monde, Badou Jack, dans un combat spectaculaire, tandis que Floyd Mayweather Jr regardé du bord du ring.

 

Le champion du monde depuis son KO violent sur l'Américain Tchad Dawson en 2013,“Superman” va essayer de marteler son aspirant obligatoire surnomme, au Centre Vidéotron.

 

 

 

 

OLEKSANDR ”LE CLOU” GVOZDYK

 

 

Médaillé de bronze aux Jeux olympiques de Londres, D'origine ukrainienne Gvozdyk déplacé à Oxnard, Californie, pour commencer sa carrière professionnelle en 2014. Il a marché depuis toujours en avant, récoltant 15 wins in 15 bouts, 12 par KO.

 

 

 

Au cours de sa dernière apparition dans le ring en Mars 17 au Madison Square Garden à New York, il a vaincu le Français Mehdi Amar par décision unanime pour devenir challenger obligatoire de Stevenson, remportant le titre WBC des lourds légers intermédiaires le long du chemin.

 

coéquipiers de Vasyl Lomachenko et Oleksandr Usyk, Gvozdyk est un boxeur talentueux et dangereux, comme en témoignent ses victoires par arrêt de l'arbitre sur Yunieski Gonzalez, Isaac Mark et Tommy Karpency. Greg Cohen Greg Cohen de Promotions est fier d'annoncer la signature de champion poids lourd canadien Mladen « Monster » Miljas à un contrat de promotion.

 

 

 

invaincu Miljas, parfait 8-0, 8 KOs, se trouve un 6’ 6” impressionnant et pèse autour de 240 lbs. Le Mississauga-25 ans, Ontario, Jennifer a remporté le titre canadien Décembre dernier avec un arrêt à deux tours bouleversé de champion de longue date Dillon Carman.

 

 

 

Cohen, un promoteur bien établi dans le sport, a travaillé avec plusieurs champions du monde et s'est forgé la réputation de trouver des joyaux cachés comme Miljas dans les régions les moins fréquentées de la boxe.

 

 

 

«Ça fait du bien de signer avec un vrai promoteur,”A dit Miljas. "Pendant longtemps, Je n'ai eu personne pour organiser mes combats, donc ça fait vraiment du bien d'avoir quelqu'un dans mon équipe maintenant. J'aimerais être actif et me battre tous les mois si je peux. "

 

 

 

Avoir eu juste 20 combats amateurs (17-3) et huit combats professionnels, Miljas est toujours un travail en cours, en dépit d'être champion national dans un pays qui a produit plusieurs champions du monde, dont Matthew Hilton, Donny Lalonde et George Chuvalo. Le Canada est aussi l'endroit où plusieurs autres champions ont appris à boxer, dont Arturo Gatti et Lennox Lewis.

 

 

 

«J'ai fait des arts martiaux, à partir quand j'avais quatre ans et a obtenu dans beaucoup de combats comme un gosse, il vient naturellement," il expliqua. « Je l'ai toujours été un perforateur dur. J'étais enfant que personne ne voulait faire du sport avec parce que je jouais trop rugueux. Je n'ai pas trop d'expérience dans le ring, donc je suis encore à apprendre dans chaque combat. Je vais mieux et mieux, donc je veux apprendre autant que je peux dans le ring et obtenir avec une bonne variété d'adversaires « .

 

 

 

Cohen dit qu'il impressionné par l'accomplissement de Miljas déjà et voit un potentiel énorme dans un combattant ce grand coup de poing qui peut.

 

 

 

« Mladen travaille dur tous les jours pour atteindre son plein potentiel,», A déclaré Greg Cohen. « Il est un géant avec une puissance incroyable et un don naturel pour le combat. EDMONTON, Canada (Juillet 30, 2018) – Boxeur canadien résilient Steve “Le dragon” Claggett (27-5-1, 17 KOs) a remporté une autre victoire impressionnante sur la route samedi soir dernier, quand il a devancé le champion en titre invaincu Petros Ananyan (13-1-2, 6 KOs) pour capturer la Fédération Internationale de Boxe (IBF) Titre international super léger.

“Il était très proche,” Claggett a dit au sujet de son dernier combat de samedi soir. “Ce fut un autre grand combat, un autre sang-et-tripes bataille, qui est la seule façon que je suis apparemment construit. Ainsi soit-il. Je suis heureux d'être un guerrier sur le ring. A la fin de la journée,, combattants se battent, période.

 

 

 

“Je suis impatient de combattre sur Super Channel à nouveau. Je pense que nous faisons de grandes choses à ajouter à l'entreprise télévision par câble de boxe. Plus l'exposition, le meilleur. Il est toujours agréable de se battre au Canada, Mon pays d'origine, et je ne peux pas attendre pour prouver au monde ce qu'est un va-et-vient champion canadien peut vraiment faire. Il est mon temps maintenant!”

It’s been more than a half- year since your M-1 Global debut. Why did you take such a long break?

 

 

 

CK: “It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. I was supposed to fight back in March, but I had problems getting my travel visa secured, so I was rebooked to fight in April but, malheureusement, the event was canceled. Si, I’ve been ready to fight, but circumstances have changed the dates. I’m excited for this fight and looking forward to fighting in Chelyabinsk. Two times my fights have been canceled and it was extremely frustrating, but it gave me more time to work on my game and learn new techniques.”

 

In your M-1 Global debut, you have been very cautious during the first two rounds, but in the third round you got a submission. Is it your real fighting style or did you just wanted to win the debut fight without taking risks?

 

 

 

CK: Chaque combat est différent. Sometimes in a new environment it takes longer to feel the fight start and you have to read the opponent before you react too aggressively.”

 

What can you say about your next opponent, Alexander Pletenko? You have similar records. Does it mean you have similar fighting styles?

 

 

 

CK: “I’ve seen some of his fights and I don’t think we have similar styles. I’ve been fighting the best guys in the world and at a certain level it’s more difficult to finish fights.”

 

Before joining M-1 Global you had never fought anywhere except North America. What does it feel like to fight half a world away from your home?

 

 

 

CH: “I really enjoyed myself the last time in my debut with M-1 Global. The travel is a little bit of a hassle with the distance, but I really enjoy fighting internationally and here in Russia. I like fighting away because I enjoy having to prove myself to other fighters and the fans. Il me motive!”

MULVANE, Mai. (Mai 21, 2018) — History was made this past Saturday night on the “SUPERBOX LIVE: High Stakes” pay-per-view card, quand 2016 Olympic bronze medalist and local hero, Nico Hernandez, knocked out Hungarian challenger Szilveszter “Le Silent Assassin” Kanalas in the opening round to capture the vacant International Boxing Association (IBA) Flyweight World Championship in only his fifth professional fight, au Kansas étoile Arena à Mulvane, Kansas.

 

 

 

In the first world title fight ever held in Kansas, Hernandez (5-0, 4 KOs) overwhelmed Kanalas (14-7, 9 KOs), the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) super flyweight world champion, to become the youngest (22) IBA world champion ever, as well as setting the record for the fewest pro fights needied to become IBA world titlist.

Hernandez was aggressive from the opening bell, pounding Kanalas’ head and body. A Hernandez left hook to the body really hurt Kanalas, who went down from a right that followed the vicious liver shot. Kanalas beat Hall of Fame Steve Smoger'S count, and it was only a matter of time before Hernandez would end the fight. It came soon, right after another body-and-head combination put the over-matched Hungarian on the mat for the second and final time.

 

 

 

“A lot of people underestimate my power,” Hernandez said after the fight. “I believe that once he felt my power, I don’t think he wanted it anymore. I felt like I took his heart away. I was patient, I wanted it to go a few rounds to see what he had, but I took his heart away. I can’t really be disappointed because I am a world champion now.”

 

 

 

“Nico was explosive Saturday night and he showed killer instinct,” organisateur John Andersen commenté. “He was going to box, but I think he smelled fear, and Nico got into Kanalas’ tête. He sensed it and jumped on him.”

In the first world championship boxing match ever held in the state of Kansas, Kanalas challenges 22-year-old Hernandez, the reigning IBA Americas champion, dans le cas de 12 tour principal.

The winner of the 12-round main event — the first world championship boxing match ever held in the state of Kansas — between Wichita-native Hernandez, 21, and his 19-year-old Hungarian opponent, Kanalas, will become the youngest ever IBA World champion. If Hernandez emerges victoriously, he will also set a record for fewest professional fights needed to win an IBA World title (5).

 

 

 

“I think that says how skilled a fighter I am and that I’m ready to compete with the best in the world,” Hernandez responded to being asked what it says about him fighting for a world title in only his fifth pro fight. “But I look at every fight the same and I never underestimate my opponent. I’ve been training just as hard for this fight as for any of my other fights. The only difference this fight is that I’m training to go more rounds.

 

 

 

“I’ve been making history since I was a kid. I’ve always been on top and the one to beat, so I feel like this is another step I’m taking forward in my career. I also hope to be a role model, not only for kids, but also people older than me, and to bring more events and excitement to my city. I love fighting anywhere in Wichita because of the support I get from my hometown fans.
