Oscar «Kaboom» Rivas en mission spéciale pour devenir un poids lourd & Champion du monde poids bridgerAnnonce importante

QUÉBEC, Ontario, Canada (Mars 24, 2021) - Fraîchement sorti de son récent arrêt au troisième tour de Sylvera «Sly» Louis dans leur combat revanche, World Boxing Council (WBC) Ne Pas. 1 poids de pont évalué Oscar "Kaboom" Rivas (27-1, 19 KOs) a pour mission spéciale non seulement de devenir le premier champion du monde des poids bridger, mais également de remporter la couronne mondiale des poids lourds.

Un 2008 Olympienne colombienne, Rivas est actuellement classé comme le Non du WBC. 1-candidat classé dans la division poids bridger (-224 lbs.), et n. 9 dans le classement des poids lourds du magazine The Ring.

Avant sa revanche avec Louis, Rivas n’avait pas combattu 20 mois en raison principalement des restrictions à la pandémie de COVID-19. Cependant, «Kaboom» est resté professionnel, s'entraînant pendant son absence sur le ring, et maintenant il est positionné pour se battre pour le titre inaugural des poids bridger WBC.

«J'adore ce sport,»A dit Rivas depuis sa maison de Montréal. Je consacre ma vie à la boxe. Je n'ai jamais arrêté de m'entraîner parce que j'adore ça et je ne peux plus m'en passer. Je suis un athlète! La pandémie n’a pas rendu les choses faciles pour moi ni pour personne d’autre, surtout pour un poids lourd naturel comme moi.

"Dans la bague, Je m'amuse, et c’est ce qui me motive. Après avoir réussi à renverser mon adversaire (Louis) dans le premier tour, mon entraîneur m'a demandé de profiter de l'opportunité de boxer car je n'avais pas combattu 20 mois. Je n’étais pas monté sur le ring et c’est ce dont j’apprécie chaque minute. »

Même s'il est sur le point de remporter son premier titre mondial, en tant que combattant poids pont, Rivas ne sera pas pleinement satisfait sans devenir champion du monde en 2 divisions.

«Je veux être le champion du monde des poids bridger et des poids lourds sans aucun doute," il expliqua. «Ma mission est intemporelle. Pour certaines raisons, les grands garçons de la division des poids lourds ne veulent pas me battre. Il y aurait eu de bonnes raisons pour Dillian Whyte pour me donner une revanche, pour dissiper les doutes! J'aime Tyson Fury mais quand il cherchait un partenaire de danse en décembre dernier, mon nom a été abandonné en premier même si nous avions le même promoteur. Je ne peux que supposer qu'ils considèrent que je suis trop dangereux pour eux. En devenant le champion du monde poids bridger WBC, Je suppose que ces grands garçons seront plus intrigués de me battre, et je ne peux pas attendre. Maintenant, plus que jamais.

«Je suis un poids lourd et j'ai toujours essayé de rester sous 235 livres tout au long de ma carrière pour exploiter ma vitesse, alors la classe de poids bridger est devenue un choix naturel pour moi. Maintenant, Je vise à devenir champion du monde dans deux divisions. Apportez-les tous!"

Rivas saura probablement qui sera son adversaire pour le combat pour le titre des poids brides WBC en juin dans les prochains jours.. Les noms souvent mentionnés sont Non. 3 Évalué Bryant Jennings(24-4, 14 KOs), 2-temps challenger du titre mondial des poids lourds, ou poids lourd sud-africain, Ne Pas. 2 classé Kevin Larena (26-1, 13 KOs).

«Mon équipe a travaillé très dur pendant cette période incroyable (pandémie) pour organiser un combat significatif pour moi. Rivas a noté. «J'ai juste hâte de revenir sur le ring avec qui que ce soit.»

Rivas a toujours des affaires inachevées avec Whyte, qui est le seul pro à vaincre Rivas, bien que dans des circonstances douteuses. Dernière Août, Whyte a remporté une décision unanime en 12 tours, après avoir été renversé avec un uppercut dans le 9e tour, dans leur combat pour le titre des poids lourds intérimaire WBC vacant, mais avant leur combat, à l'insu de l'équipe Rivas, Whyte avait apparemment été testé positif pour une substance interdite lors d'un camp d'entraînement. Une enquête antidopage au Royaume-Uni a par la suite effacé Whyte de tout acte répréhensible.

Dernière Août, Whyte a été éliminé au cinquième tour par Alexander Povetkin dans leur combat pour le titre WBC Interim et Povetkin défendra son titre ce week-end à Gibraltar contre Whyte.

Oscar Rivas a hâte de lâcher ses poings «Kaboom» sur son prochain adversaire, qui que ce soit et quand c'est, alors qu'il poursuit sa mission spéciale.

MONTRÉAL (Mars 31, 2021) - Boxeur canadien populaireMarie-Eve Dicaire appris une leçon inestimable quoique décevante en sa décision-perte au champion du monde désormais incontesté des super poids weltersClaressa Shields (11-0, 2 KOs) en mars 3e Événement à la carte «SUPERWOMEN».

Dicaire (17-1) a subi sa première défaite en tant que professionnelle et en boxe qui mène souvent dans un sens ou dans l'autre: apprendre de l'expérience globale et progresser en tant que boxeur ou continuer à se battre en tant qu'ancien champion du monde à la recherche d'une opportunité.

Deux semaines après le combat des Shields, Marie-Eve était de retour à l'entraînement, plutôt que de se vautrer dans sa première perte et de s'apitoyer sur sa peau.

"Clairement,» A déclaré Dicaire, "J'ai beaucoup appris. Je suis retourné directement au gymnase avec un plan précis pour amener ma boxe à un autre niveau. J'ai réalisé beaucoup de choses, du bon et du mauvais, mais cela aidera certainement à devenir un combattant plus complet.

«Après deux semaines de congé, J'en avais plus qu'assez. Également, au cours de la dernière année, nous avons expérimenté une nouvelle façon de travailler. Je vais au gym pour un entraînement intense pendant quelques semaines, puis prenez quelques jours de repos. Cette méthode m'a amené à un autre niveau, nous avons donc décidé de travailler de cette façon pour mon prochain camp, parce que je me sentais bien sur le ring. Je suis un surpuissant. Je ne peux pas me reposer quand je sais que j'ai perdu. J'avais besoin de faire le travail pour profiter de vraies vacances. Je sais que je serai de nouveau sur le ring bientôt.

Les pertes mènent finalement à des changements mais l’objectif de Dicaire de devenir champion du monde incontesté reste le même. Ce qui change, bien que, est son style, au moins dans une certaine mesure, d'autant plus qu'elle n'a eu aucun KO au cours de sa carrière professionnelle.

"Je suis née prête, donc le plus tôt, le meilleur,»Dicaire a parlé de remporter un autre titre mondial. «Je veux devenir un, champion du monde incontesté et c'est pourquoi je suis déjà de retour au travail. Nous travaillons à améliorer certaines de mes faiblesses qui n'étaient pas une priorité auparavant. Je travaillerai à améliorer ma puissance et à me battre pendant ce camp d’entraînement. »

Dicaire a également appris que son système de soutien s'est développé, remarquablement, même après le revers initial sur son record autrement invaincu.

«Je pensais que j'allais faire face à la perte seule avec ma famille et mes amis proches,»A conclu Dicaire, «Mais c’est exactement le contraire. Je n'ai jamais connu autant de soutien de la part des fans au cours de toute ma carrière. C’est comme si tout le monde était conscient que j’ai tout ce qu’il faut pour redevenir champion du monde et qu’ils sont avec moi dans ce nouveau voyage. »

Guadalajara, Mexique (Mars 30, 2021) – C'est officiel!! — La légende Anderson Silva a accepté de combattre Julio Chavez Jr. dans «Hommage aux rois» lors d'un match de boxe le samedi 19 juin qui sera diffusé sur Pay Per View en Amérique du Nord.

Anderson Silva, considéré par beaucoup comme le plus grand combattant MMA de tous les temps, affrontera l'ancien champion du monde des poids moyens WBC Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. lors d'un match de boxe le 19 juin au Jalisco Stadium de Guadalajara, Mexique. Silva de Curitiba Brésil a été le plus ancien champion des poids moyens en titre pour l'UFC et a compilé un record de 34 victoires avec 11 pertes et 23 knockouts époustouflants. Son record de boxe est 13 - 1. Chavez, Jr. a un dossier de 52-5-1 avec 34 KO.

“Quand je repense à mon voyage, Je vois que rien n'a été en vain!
Je suis extrêmement heureux d'avoir l'opportunité de tester mes compétences en boxe avec Julio César Chávez Jr. Je m'entraîne en continu, je cherche toujours à la résilience et à surmonter les obstacles. Le combat est mon souffle éternel,” Silva Dit.

PHILADELPHIA (Avril 1, 2021) - Invaincu welterweight Jaron «Bottes» Ennis cherchera à consolider son statut d'étoile montante dans la division des poids welters lorsqu'il affrontera un ancien champion du monde robuste Sergey Lipinets dans une bataille de 12 rounds qui fait la une de l'action en direct sur SHOWTIME samedi, Avril 10 depuis Mohegan Sun Arena à Uncasville, Conn. dans un événement Premier Boxing Champions.

Ennis, 23 ans, affrontera la compétition la plus rude de sa carrière aux Lipinets, alors qu'il entre sur le ring lors de son premier Main Event SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING. Représentant la ville combattante de Philadelphie, Ennis a utilisé de sublimes compétences de boxe et une puissance à deux mains pour revendiquer le titre de prochain grand champion de la ville..

Ennis a organisé une séquence de 16 combats à élimination directe qui comprenait le fait de devenir la première personne à arrêter Juan Carlos Abreu lorsqu'il a éliminé le challenger de longue date au sixième tour en août. 2020. Ennis n'a pas pu prolonger cette séquence en décembre 2020, lorsque son combat contre Chris van Heerden a été déclaré sans concours après le premier tour en raison d'un choc de têtes provoquant une grave coupure au front de Van Heerden.

J'aime briller, donc ce n’est pas nouveau pour moi. Maintenant c'est l'heure du combat. Je suis enfermé et prêt à faire du rock and roll. »

Le camp d'entraînement:

«Nous faisons toujours des rondes de quatre minutes au camp. Je fais ça depuis que je suis bébé. C'est une autre raison pour laquelle je ne m'assois pas quand je me bats, parce que je suis tellement habitué aux tours de quatre minutes. Les rounds de trois minutes passent très vite le soir du combat. Une chose que nous avons ajoutée à ce camp était le travail sur tapis roulant sous-marin.

Sur ses derniers préparatifs:

«La semaine avant le combat, nous le réduisons et nous affûterons. C’est un excellent camp d’entraînement. Je vais de mieux en mieux chaque jour, et j'ai hâte de me produire samedi prochain. »

Face à son premier ancien champion du monde:

"Il est un bon combattant, mais ça ne veut rien dire pour moi. C’est juste un autre jour au bureau. C'est une personne ordinaire comme n'importe qui d'autre. "

Sur Sergey le qualifiant de «combattant typique de Philly»:

«Je suppose qu'il sait que je suis dur, graveleux et je suis prêt à gronder. Je viens là-bas pour remporter une victoire à Philadelphie et avoir l'air bien de le faire, n'importe comment."

Sur sa puissance KO:

«Je ne pense pas avoir encore la force de mon homme. Je sens qu'il faudra encore un ou deux ans avant d'avoir pleinement la force de mon homme. La partie folle est, Je me sens comme dans un combat, Je n’ai toujours pas lancé de tir puissant et je me suis encore vraiment assis sur un coup de poing. Tout ce avec quoi j'ai assommé des gars a été une force naturelle. "

Sur la façon dont il voit sa séquence à élimination directe:

«Certaines personnes pourraient envisager un KO en avril 10 le 17e KO consécutive, certains pourraient le voir comme le début d'une nouvelle séquence à élimination directe. Pour moi, Je m'en fiche tant que je sors victorieux. C’est tout ce qui compte pour moi. Je ne cherche pas un KO mais je vais le prendre s'il vient. "

Heralded Prospect Jalen Walker in Action on Saturday night in Miami

Los Angeles, COMME (Mars 19, 2021) -This Saturday night, one of the top prospects in boxing will be back in action at the Miami Airport Hilton in Miami, Florida as undefeated featherweight Jalen Walker takes on grizzled veteran Julian Aristule in a bout scheduled for six-rounds.
Walker of Los Angeles is 7-0 with six knockouts and is looking to add his most experienced foe to his resume.


After a successful amateur career that saw him amass a record of 108-13, and was a three-time National PAL champion; Two-Time Silver Medal winner in the Junior Olympics; Time-Time Silver Medal winner in the Adidas Nationals among his endless accolades. Walker turned professional at the age of 17.


Walker won his first six bouts in Tijuana, Mexico before winning his American debut, which was a unanimous decision over Diuhl Olguin.
“I am ready to put on a show. I have put in a lot of hard work for this fight. I have seen a little bit of Aristule. I do not look at too much of my opponents, I let my team do that, but what I have seen is that he is on his way out,” dit Walker.


Aristule of Argentina has had a successful career by amassing a record of 34-14 avec 17 KO, and is a former WBO Latino Super Bantamweight champion. He defeated two undefeated fighters, and has wins over several more quality opponents.


The ambitious Walker kept in good shape during the Coronavirus lockdown, and was ready for action when he took on Olguin last December 20th.


“Je ne ai jamais arrêté la formation. I stayed in shape, and continued to run and spar,” continued Walker.


Walker, who started boxing at age seven as he followed in the footsteps of his father Norman and grandfather, who were both amateur boxers.
Walker is one of the most followed boxers on social media as he boasts over137,000 followers on Instagram knows that platforms like that are very important in today’s world of sports and entertainment.


“I think the key to that is consistency. When I first started getting 1,000 views or so, I thought it was a big deal. I had about 6,000 followers before my pro debut, and it has continued to grow. When I start to fight on bigger cards, I can see that even skyrocketing. There are many world champions that don’t get nearly the views that I get. I am just waiting patiently, and when everything happens, things will click perfectly, It is going to be big.”


Walker has gained valuable experience sparring with several world champions such as Danny Roman, Ange Acosta, Joseph Diaz Jr. and Murodjon Akhmadaliev .


Jalen is on the cusp of signing with a major promoter, and he knows that he brings a lot to the table both in and out of the ring.
“I bring what I can do as a fighter, but also with social media, that even helps promote their events when I am fighting. I am the total package
Walker is managed by Waterfront Boxing, which is headed up by the duo of Rene Symonds and Clement Kwan.


The pair see a huge future for Walker.

McCaskill envisage des confrontations avec Taylor et Shields


Chicago, IL (Mars 17, 2021) – Fraîchement sortie de sa deuxième victoire consécutive sur le futur Hall of Famer, Cecilia Braekhus, champion poids welter incontesté, Jessica McCaskill cherche à combattre les plus grands noms du circuit féminin.


McCaskill de Chicago, facilement surpassé le légendaire Braekhus par des dizaines de 100-89, 99-90 et 98-91 pour remporter sa cinquième consécutive et hisser son record à 10-2.


“J'ai senti que mon agressivité était vraiment bonne, juste garder la pression non-stop, et nous sommes prêts pour la suite. Elle courait dans, et s'est encombrée, et je me suis dit que si elle allait courir, Il faudrait que je fasse au moins un ou deux coups, et elle a continué à le faire, donc j'ai continué à le faire aussi. Je voulais bouger et montrer d'autres angles, mais elle a continué à entrer directement, alors elle était là,” dit McCaskill.


“Un combat avec Katie Taylor pourrait être la prochaine chose à l'ordre du jour. Si c'est ça, ce serait génial. Si ça ne marche pas, alors il y a quelques autres noms là-bas. Quant à Claressa Shields, McCaskill pense qu'un combat avec elle peut arriver, “Cela pourrait être une possibilité si Claressa pouvait arriver à 147 livres. D'abord, elle a dit qu'elle n'abandonnerait aucun poids, et maintenant elle dit qu'elle le ferait, nous allons donc devoir voir s'ils vont prendre cela au sérieux.”

Dit le promoteur de McCaskill, Leon Margules des Guerriers de boxe, “Jessica a encore prouvé qu'elle est l'une des meilleures combattantes du monde. Elle a maintenant dominé le combattant qui a été la livre de longue date du meilleur boxeur. Nous aimerions combattre n'importe qui, et un combat avec Katie Taylor aurait très certainement un résultat différent de leur premier combat. Les combats avec Taylor ou Claressa seraient des combats historiques car ils opposeraient deux des champions incontestés en titre.”

Fierro displayed a durable chin and beat the count easily both times, signaling that he was not hurt by the crunching power punches. Fierro was down 48-45 on all three judges’ scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

“I’m happy, I faced a top-notch fighter tonight in Alberto Machado,” said Fierro, who was a three-to-one underdog. “He is world class and dropped me twice. But I am ecstatic that I was able to come back and beat a fighter of his caliber.”

The 22-year-old lightweight turned the fight around in the fourth round as he dedicated himself to a vicious body attack against Machado. The body work paid dividends as he found openings throughout the fifth and sixth round, ultimately leading to a vicious left hand that sent the former titlist to the canvas for the first and only time in the fight. Fierro credited finding his second wind to his two-year-old daughter back in Mexico.

“He dropped me twice in the beginning of the fight,” added Fierro. “When I got back to my corner, I told them, ‘remind me of my daughter.’ Because with this fight I can change her life and that’s exactly what they did after the third round. They motivated me and that’s exactly what I did.”

Prior to the fight, Fierro told the Ring City USA broadcast team, “the best judge is a knockout when you’re fighting in someone else’s hometown.” The Mexican warrior, who replaced undefeated prospect Hector Tanajara on one week’s notice, delivered on his promise to take matters into his own hands.

“I felt very good, très fort, as this is a division that I am not used to,” said Ibarra. “I always fight in lower divisions, we had to go up two divisions to take this great opportunity, and well, I think we were not wrong to take this risk.”

In the co-main event of the evening, which kicked off the four-fight main card on NBC Sports Network, Jose “Chiquiro” Martinez(21-1-3, 14 KOs) of Mayaguez, P.R. etIsraël González (26-4-1, 11 KOs) of Cabo San Lucas, Mexique, fought to a majority draw in their 10-round bantamweight affair. While one ringside judge gave Gonzalez, 24, the edge on the scorecards (96-94), the remaining two judges scored it identically at 95-95. Ring City’s unofficial scorer Steve Smoger had Gonzalez edging the hometown fighter 97-93.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Tour. (Mars 15, 2021) – There is no more of a family affair in USA Boxing thanKayla Gomez’s, in which her mother, Crystal Aceves, and grandmother, Cindy Aceves, work her corner.

They will be together once again at the 2020 Championnats nationaux de boxe USA, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic from last December to March 25 – Avril 3, à Shreveport, Le.

The 18-year-old Gomez, who lives in El Paso (TX), is a youth flyweight (112 lbs.) boxeur, who finished second at the 2019 Championnats nationaux, highlighting her first year in Youth competition. She has a growing supply of gold medals having finished on top at the 2019 & 2018 Open régional de l'Ouest, 2018 & 2017 Junior Open Championships, et 2018 & 2017 Open régional de l'Est. She is also a 5-time National Junior Olympic champion (2015 par 2019).  

A self-described multi-dimensional boxer, Kayla is a counter puncher and consummate boxer, displaying veteran-like “ringmanship,” but also capable of being a technical brawler and pressure fighter. She first started boxing in 2012 after watching a documentary on the 2012 Olympics.

“The inspiration of the boxers training to earn a gold medal motivated me to learn this unique sport,” Gomez explained. “I dedicate my whole life to boxing and as of right now, amateur boxing has impacted my life in a positive manner, paving my way in the near future to earn different accolades and experience for an Olympic gold medal and my pro career.”

Her mother, Crystal, is an amateur boxer who has competed in many tournaments. She will not compete in these championships this year because she is fully focused right now on her daughter and her future. She will be competing at other 2021 tournaments.

“As a boxer, my mom knows what it’s like to be in my position, so instead of getting mad at me, she gives me alternatives to do when I’m feeling low or not myself to have a better chance of being the best fighter I can be,” Kayla explained what it’s like having her mother and grandmother working her corner. “We all have a great relationship and work well in the ring together. They understand what it’s like to be in my position.”

A high school senior, Kayla is in a K-12 program for an online school due to her busy schedule. She does plan to attend college and share her boxing with educational opportunities.

“My education is just as important as my boxing,” She concluded. “I will attend college and work really hard to accomplish my goal of earning a gold medal at the 2024 Olympics and beginning my pro career afterwards.”

Kayla Gomez is a legacy boxer with a promising future.

Someone on my team let me know a few hours before the fight that he had passed. It’s sad and he will be missed. He was a true legend.”

“He was a fighter who didn’t want to exchange punches,” Cruz added, in reference to the persistent clinching. “I was very fed up with the clinches—there was never a warning toward him. I did my best out there. Not the best way I wanted to do it but thank God we won the fight and we’re taking the victory home.”
