Split-T Management Signs 5 time NY Daily News Golden Gloves Champion and 2017 US National Welterweight Champion Brian Ceballo

New York, NY (Mars 19, 2018)–Split-T Management is proud to announce the signing of 5-time New York Golden Gloves champion and 2017 United States Amateur champion Brian Ceballo to a management contract.

 

 

 

 

 

Den 24 year-old is a native of Brooklyn, New York had a stellar amateur career that saw him win 17 National championships beginning at 11 years old when he won the National Silver Gloves championship.

 

 

 

 

Ceballo, who began boxing at 8 years-old won 11 National titles as a junior and 6 National titles as a senior which includes the 2016 National Golden Gloves title, 2017 United States National Title.

 

 

 

 

Ceballo also captured the 2014 World Series of Boxing Team Trials, and was a Olympic trials semifinalist.

 

 

 

 

Förutom boxning, Ceballo is a well rounded individual as he plays the piano, guitar, and has been singing since he was 15 år gammal.

 

 

 

 

“Brian has been the top amateur welterweight in New York, as well as the United States for the past several years. He has proven time and time again that he is an elite fighter and I’m glad he decided to have Split-T Management guide his professional career to the top of the welterweight division,” said Split-T Management CEO David McWater.

 

 

 

 

“I first met (CEO of Split-T Management) David McWater at the 2016 Nationella Golden Gloves, which I won. I wasn’t ready to turn professional, but we talked. I told him when I do turn professional, you will be the first I talk to,” said Ceballo. “Efter det, we kept in touch and after I won the US Nationals Championships in 2017, I reached out to him and said that I wanted to turn professional. I would talk to other managers, some who appeared to offer me better deals, but I decided to sign with him because I had a great relationship with him, and I liked him as a person. Russian Bantamweight Contender Nikolai Potapov Returns with TKO over Saltykov

Former NABO Champion and #2-rated WBO bantamweight contender Nikolai Potapov returned to action last Saturday night with a TKO 3 over his Russian countryman, Alexander Saltykov.

Fighting at the Floyd Mayweather Boxing Academy in Zhukovka, Ryssland, Potapov looked sharp while forcing Saltykov to stay on his stool after two rounds of pounding.
The 28-year-old Potapov holds a victory over former world title challenger Antonio Nieves and fought to a draw with Stephen Young, who is fighting for WBA Interim title this weekend.
“I am excited to get the win and look forward to challenging the best bantamweights in the world,” said Potapov, post-kamp. “Every experience is a lesson and I keep improving with each fight and training camp. Training in Detroit at the Kronk Boxing Gym with Javan Sugar Hill Steward has taken my game to the next level. I am grateful to my promoters Salita Promotions and PBL. I know this is going to be a big year for me.”
Potapov’s co-promoter, Dmitriy Salita, says his Russian bantamweight is a force at 118 Ibs. “Nikolai is one of the best bantamweights in the world. His dedication, discipline in training and constant improvement make him a real threat in his exciting division.”

Emanuel Augustus joins special guests Micky Ward & Steve Smoger to complete memorable fight

COLORADO SPRINGS, Lap. (Mars 19, 2018) – Retired pro boxer Emanuel Augustus has confirmed his attendance this week at a USA Boxing-hosted reunion of the 2001 Fight of the Year, associated with the final stop on the 2018 USA vs. Ireland Northeast Boxing Tour festivities in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Den 2001 Fight of the Year was held July 13, 2001, at Hampton Beach Casino in Hampton, NH., and it is still considered one of the greatest matches ever broadcast on ESPN. “Irländsk” Micky Ward won an incredibly entertaining, back-and-forth junior welterweight match-up with “boxing cult” hero Emanuel Augustus, by way of a 10-round unanimous decision that was much closer than the judges’ scoring indicated (98-90, 96-91, 96-94).
“Ward versus Augustus was truly the event of the year in boxing and we’re so happy it was held right here in New Hampshire,” said Stephen, who has been in his position as chairman since 1974, “Micky was losing the fight until the later rounds. As the chairperson of he commission, I checked the judges’ scorecards after six or seven rounds and Micky was losing. Sedan, Micky caught Augustus, dropped and really hurt him. He went on to win a great fight.”
The high-profile win positioned Ward for what turned out to be his epic Gatti trilogy, while Augustus went on to become one of the most dangerous, upset-minded opponents in boxing. Ward, Augustus and the third man in the ring that night, Hall of Fame referee Steve Smoger, will host as USA Alumni Association event Tuesday, Hav. 20 at The Shaskeen Pub & Restaurant (909 Elm St. i Manchester), börjar vid 6 p.m. OCH.

A special lightweight novice WILL open the competition, showcasing two Manchester amateur boxers, Abhisek thapa (Title Boxing Club) och Michael Correa (Manchester PAL).

Plant City, FL (Mars 16, 2018) – World rated middleweight Yamaguchi Falcao returns to the ring Lördag, Mars 31 against rugged Colombian Richard “La Lamina” Gutierrez in an eight round contest at the Marina Bay Sportsplex in Quincy, MA.
Born and raised in Brazil but now fighting out of Plant City, FL under head trainer Jose Rodriguez, Falcao captured a Bronze Medal at the London Olympics in 2012. The 30-year-old standout has been flawless thus far as a pro, sammanställa en 14-0 rekord med 7 segrar genom knockout. “Gutierrez is a very tough, upplevt, crafty and game fighter,” said Jody Calaguire of Team Falcao. “Yama has been looking great in camp and is ready to win impressively.”
Den 31st also marks Falcao’s first fight in Massachusetts, which has one of the largest Brazilian populations in the United States. While nothing is quite like fighting at home, Falcao’s hoping the Brazilian community comes out in large numbers to support him.

St. Louis Bantamweight Young to Face Reymart Gaballo for WBA Interim World Championship on Fredag, Mars 23, at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Kasino, Hollywood, Florida
Perennial 118-lb contender Stephon “Showstopper” Young is finishing up his 13-week training camp in Miami while wondering if his opponent knows what he’s truly in for next week.
På Fredag, Mars 23, in the Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Kasino i Hollywood, Fla., WBA #4-rated Young (17-0-3, 7 Kos) från St.. Louis will face WBA #5 Reymart “GenSan Assassin” Bitar (18-0, 16 Kos) from General Santos City, Filippinerna, in a 12-round battle for the WBA Interim World Bantamweight Championship.
Young vs. Gaballo headlines promoter Kris Lawrence and The Heavyweight Factory’s “Rumble at the Rock,” an 11-bout night of world-class professional boxing. 29-year-old southpaw Young says that while Gaballo obviously has some strength to have such a high KO percentage, he is too green to be in the ring with a fighter at his level and experience.

ICYMI: When U.K.-based YouTube star KSI was in need of boxing expertise and guidance, he turned to two-time world champion Badou Jack “The Ripper,” embedding with Team Jack and trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. for a week-long training regimen at Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas.
Domkraft, who last fought on August 26, 2017 and knocked out Nathan Cleverly on the televised undercard of the record-breaking Mayweather vs. McGregor fight card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was back in the gym preparing for his upcoming bout. Luther Smith battles Elvin Sanchez in co-feature bout
Bethlehem, PA (Mars 15, 2018) – Junior Lightweight contender Frank De Alba returns to the ring when he takes on O’Shaquie Foster in the eight-round main event on Friday night, April 13 på The Sands Betlehem Event Center.

VAD: SHOWTIME Sports released the second installment of the first-of-its-kind sports talk show UNDER BÄLTET, hosted by Brendan Schaub, available now on theBelow the Belt YouTube Channel och Below the Belt Facebook Page. Following the show’s debut on February 28, the second installment of the twice-monthly digital-first program features an interview with America’s only heavyweight world champion, Deontay Wilder, who reflects on his instant-classic victory over Luis Ortiz March 3 på Showtime. Schaub also sits down with the UFC’s Brian Ortega following his first-round knockout win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 222.
