This week on Fight Talk Unlimited we discuss a wide range of topics, beginning with the death of three pro wrestlers in one day. We go on to chat about Cody Garbrandt’s biting comments about fighter pay. We touch on bareknuckle fighting’s resurgence (adding Shawne Merriman to the roster of fighters for one organization), and we recap a wild fight between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier on last weekends UFC on Fox card. We also preview Garbrandt’s second bite at the TJ Dillashaw apple this weekend at UFC 227. Tony also helps preview one of the biggest fights of the week in Kovalev vs. Alvarez, which he will be attending in Atantic City. We do a boxing roundup of results and previews, and then we end the show with an off-topic talk about nature 🙂

Fight News Unlimiteds veckovisa Combat Sports Show är nu officiellt känt som Fight Talk Unlimited, och vi är nu tillbaka till en liveplattform: Spridare.

 

Den här veckan på vårt debutavsnitt på Spreaker, vi diskuterar en vild vecka i nyheter, från Floyd Mayweather's beef med 50-cent, till Conor McGregors smäll på handleden för att kasta en handbil genom ett bussfönster, till en skollärare i Philadelphia i månsken som en stötande tysk karaktär i sin pro-wrestling-karriär. This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show we recap last week’s multiple Bellator cards and the UFC Fight Night card from Boise, Idaho. We start off discussing boxing with an analysis of Manny Pacquiao’s one-sided beating of Lucas Matthysse. We move on to other news this week, including an online spat between Brendan Schaub and Dana White and Dominick Cruz claiming Brock Lesnar will never get through USADA testing to return to the UFC octagon. We also cover upcoming boxing and MMA bouts and discuss the eye poking incidents that occurred during the brief Stipe Micocic vs. Daniel Cormier heavyweight championship bout.

Denna vecka på FNU Combat Sports Show, Psykiska Tom och Rabble Rousin’ Rich börjar med en bra intervju med pro-boxaren Anthony Laureano. Den professionella boxaren Connecticut kommer med en stor vinst på Joe Smith Jr: s underkort. slåss i slutet av juni. Vi sammanfattar också förra veckans boxning och MMA-åtgärder, framhävd av Daniel Cormiers monumentala seger över Stipe Miocic för att bli den första två bältehållaren i UFC sedan McGregor. Denna vecka på FNU Combat Sports Show, Tom, Tony och Rich ser tillbaka på Bellator 201, en ny kandidat för “Runda Årets” i Zappavigna / Saucedo-striden, Guld- pojke som gör drag i boxning och MMA, och det ökande trycket från streamingtjänster för att tömma bort PPV-dollarn från sportfans. Vi börjar diskutera hjärnskakningssymptom som ledde till att Max Holloway drog sig ur UFC: s samarbetshändelse 226 denna vecka.

 

Naturligtvis förhandsgranskar vi också en enorm helg för UFC med The TUF Finale ikväll och den efterlängtade UFC 226 huvudsakliga händelse för Stipe Miocic att sätta sin tungvikt bälte på linjen mot Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

Denna vecka på FNU Combat Sports Show, we discuss the latest news in MMA and boxing, recap the past week’s events and preview the upcoming events this week. We also discuss Walter “2 Guns” Wright winning his main event fight against Mark DeLuca a couple days after we interviewed him last week. Wright’s split decision win came in part due to a persistent jab that frustrated DeLuca and left him bloodied, bruised and exhausted by the final bell. Of course bringing up this fact gets us all going on the absolute necessity of the jab in any combat sports fighter’s toolbox.

Among the news we touch on:

The rumors about Manny Pacquiao’s next fight with Lucas Matthysse being in jeopardy, Manny and his team say everything is on track.

Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks retires (also forgot to mention Rashad Evans retired as well).

 

The latest cast for The Contender Series, set to return this August featuring 16 up and coming young boxers in the 160-pound division.

 

Lyoto Machida’s defection from the UFC to Bellator and Bellator’s blockbuster deal with DAZN, a streaming service working to take over new markets this year, including the US and Italy.

(se affisch nedan) Den här veckan tog vi upp Walter innan han tog sig österut från Seattle. Vi intervjuade honom om den stora kampen och diskuterade hans karriär i allmänhet. Vi återupptog också alla förra veckans boxnings- och MMA-evenemang och tillhandahöll några andra nyheter som Creed II-släpvagnen och släppningen av Ronda Rouseys 30-dagars från WWE. FNU Combat Sports Visa: Huge Weekend for Boxing, UFC 225 and PFL Debut Night

Tom, Tony and Rich have a ton of ground to cover in this episode. We recap last week’s most significant fights, starting with the first sanctioned bareknuckle boxing event in hundreds of years. We also break down the latest UFC Fight Night card where Jimmie Rivera took the first loss in his last 21 slagsmål. We discuss Dana White’s tirade against fighters who don’t take the fights the company wants them to, and we blast Canelo Alvarez and his team for destroying all chances of another fight with GGG. We take a good chunk of the show to outline and analyze all the various boxing matches taking place this Saturday, from Tyson Fury’s return to the ring against Sefer Seferi to the battle of pound for pound best and undefeated welterweights Jeremy Horn and Terrence Crawford fighting on ESPN+ (which we criticize heavily). We also touch on the debut card for PFL, a fight league where all the prize money comes at the end of the season. Slutligen, we preview UFC 225 and discuss CM Punk’s chances of proving himself a true cage fighter.
