Undefeated Ruben Villa Makes Homecoming Debut in Salinas, California on Saturday April 14th

FILADELFIA, PENN./ORANGE, California. (Marzo 23, 2018)–Heralded featherweight prospect Ruben Villa returns home for the 1st time as a professional as he headlines in the Northern California city of Salinas on Saturday, Abril 14, from the popular Salinas Storm House.
The show is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.

Villa, 20, will be locked in a battle with fellow prospect Marlon Olea (13-2, 12 KOs) of Colombia in the 8-round “Sangre nueva” main event where the WBO Youth Featherweight Title is up for grabs. “Sinceramente, I’m not sure how it’s going to feel to fight in my hometown,” Villa dijo. “I tend to tune out all the white noise and just box. I’m sure there will be some moments when I recognize the crowd. I have to enjoy it, but keep my poise.

Vitor Jones Freitas stops Lucio in 1

Filadelfia, Pensilvania (Agosto 2, 2016)–Jones Vitor Freitas record remained perfect by stopping Licelio Da Silva Lucio in the first round of their scheduled eight-round lightweight bout this past Sábado Sao Paulo en, Brasil.

Ruben Villa destroys Gerardo Molina in first round of pro debut

(Julio 30, 2016)–Heralded amateur Ruben Villa (1-0, 1 KO) did not waste any time putting away challenger Gerardo Molina (1-2, 1 KO) este pasado Viernes night in his professional debut. Villa landed a counter left hook early in the first round that sent Molina backpedaling onto the canvas. Seconds later, Villa, who is from Salinas, Calif., rocked Molina with a series of punches, knocking him out at the 2:25 marca de la primera ronda.
It felt great to get that first win,” Villa dijo. “I didn’t go in thinking knockout, but I knew after the first knockdown that I was going to end it early. I had a bunch of friends and family in attendance. I’m glad I gave them something to smile about.

Demetrio “Boo Boo” Andrade signs a new promotional contract with Banner Promotions and Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing
