Ruben Villa Returns Headlines Thompson Boxing Event on April 15th
ONTARIO, TAL COMO (Marzo 16, 2022) – Returning after his first chance at a world title, Thompson Boxing’s contendiente de peso pluma Ruben “Drac” Villa (18-1, 5 KOs), who is co-promoted with Banner Promotions, hará su 2022 debut as he headlines Thompson Boxing’s “Path To Glory” event on Friday, Abril 15, 2022. Villa will square off against battle tested veteran, Horacio Garcia (35-5-1, 25 KOs), de Guadalajara, Mexico in a 10-round main event.

As one of several talented Thompson Boxing fighters to challenge for a world title, Villa makes his long-awaited return to the ring. Villa’s last fight was a narrow loss against Emanuel Navarrete (35-1, 29 KOs) in October of 2020. After a year and a half break from action, Villa is energized and focused on his goal of becoming a world champion.

“I have fallen in love with the sport of boxing once again, the year or so I was out, I focused on all the things I need to improve on,” said Villa in the comforts of his newly remodeled gym in Salinas, California. “I have always said I want to bring a world title fight to Salinas, and that is still the goal. Así, this is just the start of a new beginning, and a better version of myself. The road to redemption starts on April 15º against a worthy opponent in Garcia.”

NARANJA, TAL COMO (Octubre 1, 2020) - Thompson Boxing Promotions is pleased to present the newest installment of its successful boxing series 3.2.1 Boxeo featuring three exciting-and-compelling bouts, live on Sunday, November 1st, 2020. Banner Promotions firma al invicto peso pesado Isaac Muñoz Gutiérrez a un acuerdo de promoción conjunta con United Promotions

Filadelfia, Papá. – Febrero 11, 2020 – Banner Promotions has signed undefeated heavyweight Isaac Munoz Gutierrez to a co-promotional deal with United Promotions.


Gutiérrez, 27 years-old of Torreon Coahuila de Zaragoza, México cuenta con un registro de 12-0-1 con 10 nocauts.


“We are happy to bring Isaac to Banner Promotions. He is a very good prospect that was brought to my attention by Don MacDonald of United Promotions. I have seen him and he has good power. I feel that he will make waves in the heavyweight division,” dijo Banner Promotions presidente Artie Pelullo.


“I feel very happy to sign with Banner Promotions. Being with a big company will be great for my career. With Banner and United Promotions, I feel my career can go to big heights, and I am grateful for that,” Said Gutierrez.


“I have known Artie Pelullo for 25 año, and I know what he can do. I feel Artie and Banner Promotions is the promoter that will make the inroads for Isaac in the heavyweight division,” said Don MacDonald of United Promotions.


Gutierrez was 220-20 como aficionado, and was a multi-time Mexican National champion, and was part of the Mexican National boxing team for two years. Gutierrez competed in the World Series of Boxing.


Gutierrez turned professional on September 9, 2011 with a 1st round stoppage over Misael Jossy Chavez. Gutierrez has established himself as a power puncher, and is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Jesus Alberto Martinez Torres on September 7th.


“We are extremely happy to sign with Banner Promotions. This is exactly what we wanted, and need for Isaac’s career. I have known about Banner Promotions and Artie Pelullo for a long time, and I know he can get Isaac to the top level,” said Gutierrez manager, Manuel Garrido.

Michael Dutchover (12-0, 9 KOs) Stops Ruben Tamayo in the Third Round on Friday Night

FILADELFIA, PENN. / NARANJA, California. (Noviembre. 18, 2018) – Peso ligero Jr. Michael Dutchover (12-0, 9 KOs) closed out Thompson Boxing’s season finale in emphatic fashion by knocking out the well-tested veteran Ruben Tamayo (27-12-4, 18 KOs) in the third round Friday night from the Doubletree hotel en Ontario, California.

 

 

 

Durante holandesa, who had turned 21 the day prior, celebrated his birthday weekend with his fifth win of the year and fourth straight knockout victory.

 

 

 

The West Texas-based Dutchover used his patience in the first round to learn the appropriate angles against Tamayo, who had previously been in the ring against first class talent such as Jhonatan Romero, Oscar Valdez, Joseph Diaz and Jesus Cuellar.

 

 

 

En el tercer, Dutchover unlocked his power with a left hook to the body that stunned and forced Tamayo to take a knee. After Tamayo beat the count, Dutchover attacked and landed a right onto the midsection, which dropped Tamayo once again.

 

 

 

Referee Lou Moret immediately waived off the fight at the 2:15 marca.

 

 

 

“I feel like I’m growing into a better fighter with each and every fight,” Said Dutchover, who is promoted by industry veterans Banner Promotions y Thompson Boxing. “I took my time in the first round, but then my corner advised me to start letting my hands go and I got the knockout win. Brandon Adams domina a Shane Mosley Jr. para ganar el campeonato The Contender

FILADELFIA, PENN.(Noviembre 9, 2018)-Brandon Adams fue dominante en golpear a Shane Mosley Jr. más de 10 rondas para ganar una amplia decisión unánime y reclamar el campeonato The Contender en el Forum de Inglewood, California.

FILADELFIA, PENN.(Noviembre 8, 2018)–Banner Promotions ha firmado su segundo peso ligero invicto esta semana, ya que la empresa de promoción ha fichado a Mohamed Soumaoro..

 

 

 

La 25 Soumaoro, de un año, está fuera de Montreal., Canadá a través de Conakry, Guinea y la Habana, Cuba.

 

 

 

Ha acumulado un historial profesional de 6-0 con tres nocauts.

 

 

 

Al crecer en La Habana cuando era joven, disfrutaba caminar., jugando futbol, yendo a la escuela y aprendiendo. Durante este tiempo se le presentó al kárate y al taekwondo.. No siguió esos deportes porque en 2008, se mudó a blainville, Quebec a vivir con su hermana. Fue mientras miraba la televisión que descubrió su interés por el boxeo..

 

 

 

Después de una carrera amateur de 53 peleas, se volvió profesional en abril 8, 2017 con un paro en la primera ronda sobre Antonio Vergara.

 

 

 

Soumaoro ha continuado su éxito ya que ha hecho dos aperturas este año.. En su última pelea, detuvo a Ramón Urbina en un asalto el 15 de septiembre en Managua, Nicaragua.

 

 

 

Se considera un contragolpeador ya que está fuertemente influenciado por el futuro miembro del Salón de la Fama., Juan Manuel Marquez.

Banner Promotions signs undefeated Lightweight Golden Garcia

FILADELFIA, PENN.(Noviembre 6, 2018)–Banner Promotions is proud to announce the signing of undefeated lightweight, Golden Garcia to a promotional contract.

 

 

 

García, 30 years-old of Montreal, Canadá, tiene un registro de 11-0-1 con seis nocauts.

 

 

 

Garcia began boxing at the age of 12 when he walked in to a gym to get in shape.

 

 

 

“I got into a few scraps in the street, so it was nice to go to a place where fighting was allowed,” dijo García.

 

 

 

Garcia had about 60 peleas amateur, where he competed at 130 libra.

 

 

 

Garcia turned professional on June 28, 2014 with a 2nd round stoppage over Michael Gargouri in Quebec, Canadá. He has fought all of his bouts in Canada, which included a win over Oscar Mejia (10-2-1).

 

 

 

En su última pelea, Garcia stopped Adalberto Borquez on March 24th in Montreal.

 

 

 

Garcia is a pressure fighter that throws a high volume of punches and tries to overwhelm his opponents. Garcia prides himself for his endurance and he believes that the longer the fight goes, el mejor es.

Banner Promotions signs former Olympian Naim Terbunja

FILADELFIA, PENN.(Noviembre 6, 2018)–Banner Promotions is proud to announce the signing of former Olympian and current super middleweight Naim Terbunja.

 

 

 

Terbunja of Linkoping, Sweden by way of Pristina, Kosovo, represented Sweden in the 2008 Juegos Olímpicos. He currently holds a professional record of 10-2-1 con un solo golpe de gracia.

 

 

 

La 34 year-old Terbunja began boxing at the age of 14, as he was a young soccer player looking to get stronger. Terbunja took up boxing, and fell in love with the sport.

 

 

 

That sparked an amateur career that saw him go 200-36. Terbunja fought all over the world for the Swedish National team, and then to the 2008 Olympics where he lost to Matt Korobov in the round of 36.

 

 

 

Terbunja moved to Long Island and spent part of his amateur career in the United States and captured the National Golden Gloves title in 2009 by defeating Luis Arias in the finals.

 

 

 

Terbunja turned professional on April 27, 2012 with a unanimous decision over Vladimir Spasojevic in Sweden. Terbunja has fought six times in Sweden and twice in Kosovo.

 

 

 

Terbunja has a 1st round stoppage over previously undefeated Joel De La Paz (7-0) en julio 23, 2016.

 

 

 

Terbunja is coming off a disputed draw with regarded Lanell Bellows on May 11th in Las Vegas.
