UM NOVO CAMPEÃO DE PESO MÉDIO SERÁ COROADO NA NEF 39

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA: Lewiston, Maine (Maio 22, 2019) - Fights Nova Inglaterra (NEF) retorna ao Androscoggin Bank Colisee no sábado, Junho 22 com seu próximo evento de artes marciais mistas, “NEF 39: TODOS OS AMERICANOS.” Hoje cedo, a promoção da luta anunciou a adição de uma luta pelo título amador ao card. Carlton Charles (3-2) vai enfrentar Jordan Norman (2-1) para o cinturão de peso médio amador vago.

Antes de entrar no MMA, Carlton Charles deixou sua marca no campo de futebol. Ele jogou pela Windham High School em Windham, Maine e mais tarde levaram a equipe a um título de classe A como assistente técnico. Charles passou a jogar como zagueiro na University of Maine Black Bears. Ele fez sua estreia na NEF no verão de 2017 com uma vitória por nocaute de 23 segundos. Bangor, Maine (Janeiro 10, 2019) - Fights Nova Inglaterra (NEF) will hold its next mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 37: Sub Zero,” na sexta-feira, Fevereiro 1, 2019 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Hoje cedo, the promotion announced the addition of an amateur women’s flyweight fight to the card. Glory Watson (2-0) vai assumir Rachael Lippert (4-2) com um peso de luta de 125 quilos.

Glory Watson made her mark in the NEF cage in 2018 with wins over Chelsea Tucker and Megan Rosado. It earned her a nomination in the “Rookie of the Year” category. She was the runner-up to fellow undefeated amateur rookie Zac Richard (3-0) in fan voting last month. Watson trains with Young’s MMA in Bangor. The fight with Lippert will be her first in her hometown.

“I’ve continued to train and challenge myself since my victory in Portland this past November,” said Watson.“I’m really excited to finally make my debut in my hometown to kickstart 2019 with a three-fight run streak over the next three months! I’m looking forward to my return to the cage and to show my supporters the hard work that I’ve been putting in to maintain my career with zero losses!"

Rachael Lippert is also riding a two-fight win-streak into this bout. Last month, she was victorious on a card in Minnesota put on by national promotion Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA). She is a 25-year-old with a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu representing Fearless MMA of Janesville, Wisconsin.

“I am happy to have the opportunity to travel and fight,” said Lippert. “At this point, we decided we weren’t going to accept higher weight or lower record fights. This fight is both of those things, but I looked up Glory and she looked like a banger of an opponent. I know how it is to work hard and not get to fight, so I am happy to fill the spot. I am looking forward to a great fight.”

CRESPO OUT, MURPHY IN AGAINST ARNOLD IN NEF TITLE FIGHT

Portland, Maine (Maio 31, 2018) – Earlier this week, Lutas da Nova Inglaterra (NEF) officials were informed that Mike Crespo had been injured during his fight camp and would be unable to compete at “NEF 34: Home of the Brave” em Junho 16 em Portland. Crespo had originally been scheduled to face Came Arnold (3-0) for the vacant NEF MMA Amateur Bantamweight Championship. Killian Murphy (1-0) has stepped up to replace Crespo and take on Arnold at Aura for the 135-pound title in a scheduled five-round affair.

Murphy made his debut at “NEF 33” last month in Portland with an impressive victory over Krishna Scott (0-1) via no primeiro round por nocaute técnico. He is no stranger to the winner’s circle. Perhaps no other member of the NEF roster has had the run in the last twelve months that Kam Arnold has had. He has cut through three opponents in the first round like a hot knife through butter including an eleven-second knockout of veteran David Thompson last month at “NEF 33.” Arnold is a member of Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Lewiston, Maine.

As if this card wasn’t already summer fireworks – now we get to see two undefeated studs try to knock each other off over the course of a five-round championship fight. BANTAMWEIGHT BOUT ADDED TO ALREADY-STACKED PORTLAND FIGHT CARD

Portland, Maine (Maio 24, 2018) – Last week New England Fights (NEF) released the official card for its upcoming return to Aura in Portland, Maine. The mixed-martial-arts event, intitulado “NEF 34: Home of the Brave,” is scheduled to take place on Saturday night, Junho 16, 2018 com uma campainha de 7:00 pm EDT. NEF matchmakers, contudo, were still hard at work on adding fights to the card, and earlier today they announced the addition of an amateur bantamweight bout to the event. Henry Clark (3-4) vai enfrentar Dave Brown (1-3) com um peso de luta de 135 quilos.

The lead-up to “NEF 34” has been somewhat of a wild ride for Henry Clark. He was originally scheduled to face Florida’s Krishna Scott (0-1) on the card. Just prior to the announcement of the full fight card, Scott’s camp informed NEF that he was pulling out of the fight. Clark remained in training camp at the Choi Institute in Portland in the hope that NEF matchmakers would find him a replacement opponent. When Dave Brown stepped up to the plate, Clark was quick to accept the opportunity to fight in front of his hometown fans and friends once more.

“I’m so grateful that Dave Brown stepped up,” disse Clark. “It takes a lot of guts to take a short notice fight. I would have fought anyone on a week’s notice if it meant fighting in Portland. It’s great motivation for me to finish up my camp knowing who I’m fighting. I’m coming to showcase and steal the show.”

Um nativo de North Andover, Massachusetts, Dave Brown is a three-fight veteran of the NEF cage. Prior to his time competing in MMA, Brown wrestled for Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. He will return to NEF after a three-year absence following his loss to Norman Fox in the spring of 2015. Marrom, “‘Downtown’ Dave Brown” as he is known to his fans and friends, is looking forward to his return to action.

“I’ve seen Henry Clark in action and I have a lot of respect for his abilities,” said Brown when reached for comment. “But come June 16, I’m gonna take him down… all the way centro da cidade!”

NOVA YORK - Abril 3, 2017 – Combate Americas announced today that it will bring its live Azteca America (10 p.m. E) television event series to Tucson, Ariz. for the first-time ever on Quinta-feira, Abril 20 with a stacked, 11-bout card at Casino Del Sol, headlined by a bantamweight (135 libras) showdown between accomplished veteran Salazar romano "El Gallito" (10-5-1) e nocauteador Ricky "The Gallero" Palacios (7-1).

The main event will feature top flyweight contender Samuel Fierro (6-2, Selma) as he tries to halt unbeaten 6-0 Sacramento fighter Mark Wirth’s tear through the state’s 125-pound rankings.

PARA DIVULGAÇÃO IMEDIATA: Lewiston, Maine (Março 14, 2017) – Lutas da Nova Inglaterra (NEF) apresenta seu próximo evento de artes marciais mistas “NEF 28: INVENCÍVEL” no sábado, Abril 29, 2017 no Colisee Androscoggin Bank em Lewiston, Maine. Hoje cedo, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional catchweight bout to the card. Ricky Dexter (1-0) vai enfrentar Keenan Raymond (3-3) com um peso de combate de 160 libras-.

After a successful amateur career that saw him claim the NEF MMA Amateur Welterweight Title, Ricky Dexter made his pro debut last month at “NEF 27.” He was able to drop Matt Denning in the first round with a vicious body shot that had thousands in the Colisee cringing. O Bangor, Maine native will make his first appearance as a member of Young’s MMA at “NEF 28,” having previously fought under the banner of Team Irish.

“Keenan Raymond is coming to my home turf, and I’m going to show him how tough we are up North,” Disse Dexter. “I’m new to the pro ranks, but I’ve got the work ethic of a seasoned vet. I’ve got the strength of a middle weight and the cardio like the Diaz brothers and I’m always looking for the finish. Hungry for April 29th!”

Representing Southern New England will be Providence, Rhode Island’s Keenan Raymond. A longtime competitor on the New England MMA scene, Raymond will look to work off some cage rust as he has not fought since January 2016. He is by no means a one-dimensional fighter. Raymond has displayed a solid foundation in both striking and mat work throughout his career with finishes coming by way of knockout as well as submission. He currently trains at Ricardo Cavalcanti Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mayo Quanchi Judo and Wrestling.

“I’m sure Ricky’s a game opponent, but I can promise he’s never faced a force like me,” said Raymond. “I’m healthy and my versatility will finish this fight one way or another.”
