Boxing For The World 5K Run es un éxito en Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico (Julio 30, 2018) – El domingo pasado (22 de julio) en Caguas, Puerto Rico, Boxing For The World organizó una carrera de 5K, que sirvió como recaudador de fondos para las instalaciones de la Fundación Make A Wish de Puerto Rico . La instalación (casa) alberga a niños con cáncer y otras enfermedades terminales. La instalación sufrió daños importantes debido al huracán María. .

 

 

 

El patrocinador principal fue el WBC y su programa WBC Cares.

 

 

 

No menos de 20 de los más grandes luchadores de Puerto Rico participaron en la caminata como:

 

 

 

Tito Trinidad, Juanma Lopez, Juan “Chico de hierro” Calderón, Orlando “el fenomeno” Cruz, Alex ” El Nene” Sánchez, Daniel “Reineta” Alicea, Daniel Santos, Víctor “Luvy” Calleja, Josue Dickie Camacho, Nelson ” El Fueguete” Dieppa, Mac Williams, Ángel ” La Abispa” Chacón, Samuel Serrano, Alfredo “El Salsero” Escalera, Ángel “Cholo” Espada, Andy ” El Huracan” Agosto, Jesus Rojas, Manny Maldonado (olimpico), Aristides Gonzalez y John John Molina.

 

 

 

También estuvo presente la madre de Trinidad, Doña Irma, quien sirvió durante un 1000 cuencos de su famoso caldo de pollo.

 

 

 

Mercedes Simmons, quien es miembro de la junta de Boxing For The World y CEO de Pretty Girl Promotions, estaba extasiado por la participación en el gran evento..

 

 

 

“Estamos muy contentos de que las leyendas del boxeo de Puerto Rico salieran a apoyar esta causa tan importante.. El edificio es vital para los niños necesitados, y estamos en camino de rehabilitar la instalación después del terrible daño que sufrió durante el huracán. El WBC realmente salió adelante, y realmente fue de gran ayuda para esta recaudación de fondos.” dijo Simmons.

 

 

 

“WBC hizo una gran cosa. Les informé que le robaron el cinturón continental del CMB y el cinturón NABF de Daniel Alicea de su casa mientras se sometía a quimioterapia.. Cuando me acerqué a Mauricio Sulaiman y Jill Diamond del WBC, sin dudarlo acordaron rehacer los cinturones y también patrocinar el 5k”

 

 

 

 

“La primera edición de Boxing for the World 5k, un proyecto de I am Working for the World Foundation superó nuestras expectativas,” dijo Abner DiSilva, Presidente de la Fundación I'm Working for the World. “Por primera vez en la historia de Puerto Rico pudimos unir leyendas del box bajo un mismo techo por una gran causa. . Estos íconos del boxeo cambiaron sus guantes de boxeo por zapatillas y corrieron / caminaron para ayudar a los necesitados.. Este es el comienzo de nuestro nuevo modelo, maximizar su alcance para concienciar sobre las necesidades humanitarias no solo en la isla sino en todo el mundo. Todos deberían hacer su parte, no solo con palabras sino con acciones. Estamos agradecidos por el apoyo abrumador y esperamos que más atletas y personas se unan a nuestro movimiento.. Ya hemos recibido llamadas preguntando sobre nuestro próximo evento y por eso estamos agradecidos.”

LAS VEGAS (Marzo 16, 2017) El Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fundación (TFMJF) successfully held their 3rd Annual Fight-4-Fitness 5K RUN, 2K WALK, KIDS FUN RUN, & Día de la Comunidad este pasado Domingo, at Sunset Park. The goal each year for Fight-4-Fitness is to support the movement toward more active and healthy lifestyles, while forming community alliances where awareness and empowerment serve as the nucleus for an improved quality of life.
“It was important that we put together an event promoting health and fitness awareness and that we got the families involved,” dijo Nicole Craig, President of The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fundación.
Fight-4-Fitness followed its tradition and was kicked off with the 5K race and 2K walk, shortly after, kids lined up at the start line to begin the KIDS FUN RUN. 5K participants were awarded by gender and age group categories 1st a través de 3rd place, while all kids participating in the KIDS FUN RUN were awarded with a participation medal upon crossing the finish line. Children ages 12 and under had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt, where they were challenged to find items hid throughout the park, la 1st-3rd winning group were presented with great prizes from contributing sponsors: Mayweather Promotions, TMT, GameWorks Las Vegas, and Pole Position.
Immediately following the races was the 3rd Annual Community Day to close the event. Community Day featured outstanding live performances from Las Vegas’ very own Prodigy Dance Group and The Monster Kids. Providing music throughout the event was Las Vegas resident DJ, D-Miles, while HOT 97.5’s Mike P emcee’d the event and kept the crowd entertained. Participants were chosen throughout the event winning prizes ranging from: gift cards, signed boxing gloves, merchandise packs, y una 50/50 cash prize!
A new addition to this year’s event was awarding local Las Vegas Track Clubs with a cash donation prize based on the number of registrants who signed up for their respective club. The first place was awarded to The BG Gators track club, second place went to Vegas Stealth, and coming in third place was the SW Stallions .

LAS VEGAS (Marzo. 7, 2017) El Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation’s (TFMJF) 3rd Annual Fight-4-Fitness 5K Run, 2K Walk, Kids Fun Run, and Community Day is scheduled for this Sunday, Marzo 12º en Sunset Park en Las Vegas.
Este año, El Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fundación, plans to unite runners and families within the Las Vegas community and surrounding communities in with a day filled with events geared toward the whole family. The festivities will start off with a 5K race and 2K walk, the Kids Fun Run will follow with Community Day serving as the last event of the day. The races are followed by an awards ceremony honoring the top 5K Race participants in each age category.
Fight-4-Fitness will also feature great healthy food options, vendedores, a merchandise booth, kids scavenger hunt, live performances, physical activities geared toward fitness and fun, PLUS MORE! Comedian & personalidad de la radio, Mike P, will host this year’s event while the event also features performances by DJ D. Miles, Los niños monstruo, Prodigy Dance Group, and appearances from several Mayweather Promotions’ boxing stars: Badou Jack, J'Leon Amor, Alexis Santiago, Kevin Newman, Charvis Holifield, y más!

  • Igual Registro Día: $60 5K/ $50 2K/ $20 Kids Fun Run/ $20 Día de la Comunidad
La 3rd Annual Fight-4-Fitness 5K Race, 2K Walk, KIDS FUN RUN, & Día de la Comunidad sponsors to date include: Mayweather Promotions, El equipo del dinero, Deportes Mayweather, TIEMPO DE LA FUNCION, and Greenspun Media Group. Este año, a portion of registration proceeds will go toward local Las Vegas track teams, and the top 3 track teams with the highest registration participation will also be presented with a cash prize for their respective teams. First place winners will receive a donation of $5,000, 2nd place will receive a donation of $3,000 y la 3rd place team will receive a donation of $2,000.
