San Jose, Calif. (Mei 14, 2016) — In the main event of Bellator MMA’s return home to San Jose, Phil Davis en Koning Mo showcased why their widely regarded as two of the top light heavyweights on the planet. Welterweight Bloodbath Ends in TKO Victory for Saad Awad

In the co-main event of “Bellator 154: Davis vs. Koning Mo,” Je Awad (19-7) provided one of the most entertaining performances of the night with a first round TKO win over “Cyborg” Santos (21-17). The knockout came just 4:31 into the bout, when Awad unleashed a flurry of hammer fists that left forced referee Jason Herzog to call a stop to the action. “Assassin” fought off a brutal toe hold earlier in the round and countered with relentless blows to the sides of Santos’ head, eventually opening a large cut that spilled blood onto the canvas. With victories in four of his last five bouts and now a victory at 170-pounds to boot, the options for Awad’s future with the promotion remain endless.

San Diego-Labiano Give it All in Swing Bout on SPIKE

With two quick stoppages to start the card, Bellator aired a swing bout between Josh San Diego (7-1) en Jeremiah Monaghan (9-5). A native of San Jose, “JSD” took full advantage of his opportunity on the big stage, and capped off the fight with a rapid flurry of attacks to end the final frame, earning himself a unanimous decision (29-28) victory over Labiano in front of a loud, hometown crowd. The win was Adam “Bomb’s” second first-round finish and the quickest of his budding career. SANTA MONICA, CALIF. (Mei 14, 2016) – The Bellator MMA Lightweight Championship will be up for grabs “Iron” Michael Chandler (14-3) ontmoeten Patricky "Pitbull" Freire (16-7) in de co-main event van "Bellator: Dynamiet 2" inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on June 24.

BELLATOR TO INSTATE THE ‘JORDAN PARSONS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND’

Op mei 4, the world lost an incredibly talented mixed martial artist and an even better human being with the passing of Jordan Parsons. Vandaag, Bellator MMA has committed to ensuring that his legacy lives on in the form of a yearly scholarship to “Pretty Boy’s” favorite wrestling camp. With the newly-announced Jordan Parsons Scholarship Fund, Bellator will annually send a young wrestler to “The J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camp” where Parsons honed his skills.

“Jordan Parsons was an integral part of the Bellator family and his devastating loss is one that we are all continuing to mourn,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “In collaborating with Jordan’s family, we are very proud to announce this scholarship program in his name. We are hopeful that the future recipients of this scholarship will be afforded a wrestling education and honor Parson’s name by embodying the passion and intensity that he had for this sport and life in general.”

In 2007, a 16-year-old Jordan Parsons spent two weeks at the J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camp, which offers several locations across the country taught by University of Minnesota Head Coach J Robinson.

“We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jordan Parsons,” said Robinson. “We are humbled and honored that the Parsons family and Bellator have committed to send a deserving wrestler to one of our Camps. We will work as hard as we can at helping that wrestler reach their goals and create a positive change in their life, while honoring Jordan’s memory.”

“I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the support that Scott Coker and Bellator are providing with this scholarship fund,” said Parson’s mother Anna Morsaw. “This camp really helped Jordan develop into a better wrestler, and more importantly a better young man. He came home with J Robinsons ‘Never Quit, Never Give up’ mentality engrained in him. he learned to set goals, reach his goals and then set new goals. Bellator is doing their part to make Jordan a legend, and that’s what he always wanted.”

Bristol, PA (Mei 13, 2016) – On Saturday night June 4th, a brand new boxing series will be launched as D and D Promotions presents its inaugural “Rumble at the Rink” Boxing series that will take place at The Grundy Arena in Bristol, Vader.
Scheduled to appear in the six-round main event will be super middleweight Derrick Webster.
Webster van Glassboro, New Jersey heeft een record van 19-1 met 10 knockouts and will be looking to get back in the win column after an eleven-month layoff.

Cruiserweight Emilio Salas Ready to Represent New York vs. Detroit in ‘Detroit Brawl’ Main Event this Saturday

After getting knocked out a minute and a half into his professional boxing debut, cruiserweight Emilio Salas had to be wondering if a career change was in order.
But Salas shook off the embarrassment, and when he and now-fiancé Krystal Velez moved to Yonkers, New York, and he hooked up with trainer Jose Guzman, fortunes began to change.
Salas (5-1-1, 3 KO) hasn’t lost a fight since and is now appearing in his first main event, a six-round cruiserweight main event against Detroit’s Demetrius Banks (6-0, 4 KO) on Saturday May 14, in Banks’ backyard of the Masonic Temple in Downtown Detroit.
The pair will be headlining promoter Dmitriy Salita’s “Detroit Brawl” event that also features a six-round co-main event between undefeated bantamweight James Gordon Smith (9-0, 6 KO) and Mexico’s Pablo Cupul (8-19, 5 KO).

Although he says he doesn’t know much about Banks, Salas says it’s ok because he prefers to figure an opponent out in the ring. “Normally once I get in there, I can tell what a fighter’s weaknesses are. He’s undefeated and I’ll be fighting in his hometown, but the people I have fought have almost all been undefeated and I’ve beaten them, so this is nothing different and I am not scared to fight him in Detroit. Most of my fights are in my opponent’s backyard. Ik weet echt niet wat te verwachten. I’m training hard for it and I hope for the best.”
Salas’s nickname in the ring is “El Jibaro,” which is slang for a country hick. “They call me that because I was born and raised in area of Puerto Rico where there is lots of forest and not many houses and people are sort of poor. It means I’m from the jungle. I like to do real Puerto Rican things like working with animals and riding horses. I love Puerto Rico and I dedicate all my; fights to my family and to the people of Puerto Rico. My goal is to win a world title so that I can take it back to my hometown in PR and show that my first fight wasn’t the last one. I want to show them that whatever you want to do in life you can make it happen if you work hard enough.”
Salas caught promoter Dmitriy Salita’s eye early last year, fighting to a draw against one of Salita’s fighters, Ytalo Perea, a former Olympian.
“Emilio is very naturally talented,” Said Word. “He only had about 20 amateur fights and seven as a pro and he’s already a very good fighter. If he continues to develop and improve, he will soon become a force in the division.”

Also featured that night will be Russian cruiserweight Alexey Zubov (10-1, 6 KO) will look to bounce back from his first career loss by taking on the capable Ernest Reyna (8-3, 4 KO) van Corpus Christi, Texas, in een zes-rounder. Santa Monica, Calif. (Mei 13, 2016) - Bellator MMA is pleased to announce an extension with one of its major sponsors, Monster Energy. The new deal with the world’s leading energy drink company ensures that fans will see the iconic green “M” Monster logo in the Bellator cage for years to come.

 

 

Monster will continue to own highly visible inventory inside the Bellator cage and sponsor concourse activations during events as well as additional off-site promotional activations. To complement the live event experience, Monster and Bellator will look to engage in a multi-faceted activation plan intended to build customer loyalty and drive tune-in of the Bellator broadcasts on Spike. The sponsorship extension will also see Bellator MMA continue to put on fights during the “Monster Energy Cup” – an event that showcases the world’s top supercross riders in a head to-head battle for the coveted “Monster Energy Cup” award and the chance to win one million dollars.

"Bellator 154: Davis vs. King Mo” op mei 14 will be the promotion’s first event with the newly-renewed sponsorship deal, and features Monster Energy athlete Phil Davis in het main event. In addition to Davis, Monster sponsors several Bellator athletes including: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Joe Schilling, Michael Chandler, Joey Beltran en Brennan Ward.

Atlantic City, NJ (Mei 13, 2015) – Den April 8, 2017, Feldman Brothers, Ritesh Parikh and former Heavyweight champion of the world, Larry Holmes will present a special night that will feature a bout 30 jaar in de maak.
Marvin Hagler Jr. and Ray Leonard Jr. will square off in a battle for legacy in a contest that will come exactly 30 years after the Father’s squared off in a memorable fight.
The third man in the ring will be the same referee that officiated Leonard Sr’s win over Hagler Sr. That being Richard Steele.

The event will distributed worldwide live on Pay-Per-View.

LAS VEGAS (Mei 13, 2016) – Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boksen Promotions en Neon Star Media hebben extra pit toegevoegd voor de volgende twee shows, beveiligen Idee Design Studio als hoofdsponsor voor de komende twee “Knockout Night at the D” events, Mei 21 en juni 10, bij de Centrum van Las Vegas Events Center(DLVEC) buiten locatie.
De “Knockout Night at the D” serie, gepresenteerd door het D Las Vegasen DLVEC, wordt gepromoot door Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boksen Promotions. De mei 21st evenement wordt gepromoot in samenwerking met Main Events en Shamo Boxing Promotions, Juni 10th in samenwerking met James Toney Promotions.
Idee Design Studio, gevestigd in Miami, is een 100 procent vertrouwelijk hulpbedrijf voor uitvindingen dat uitvinders bijstaat bij ontwerpen, ontwikkeling, bescherming en marketingtools om hun nieuwe uitvinding voor verkoop of licentieverlening op de markt te brengen.
