BELFAST (Août 18, 2018) – Former two-division world champion Carl Frampton knocked out Luke Jackson to retain his interim featherweight title Saturday at Windsor Park in Belfast in a doubleheader that streamed live on SHOWTIME Sports social platforms.

 

 

 

In the opening bout of SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL, lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury shut out Francesco Pianeta to line up a 2018 showdown with WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder.

 

 

 

An encore presentation will air in primetime tonight at 10 p.m. ET / PT sur Showtime EXTREME®.

 

 

 

Frampton (26-1, 15 KOs) turned in an impressive performance and scored his first knockout as a featherweight in what was a “dream” homecoming fight at the home of Northern Irish football. The former 126 and 122-pound champion now has his sights set at becoming a champion yet again in one of boxing’s deepest divisions.

 

 

 

After a dominant seven rounds, Frampton scored a knockdown via a body shot with 30 secondes à jouer dans la huitième. Jackson (16-1, 7 KOs) survived the eighth but was clearly hurt. “I think it was a calculated boxing performance, comme promis,” said Fury, who was fighting for just the second time in nearly three years. “We were able to get 10 good rounds in with a tough man. I was working on my boxing, trying to slip and slide, use the jab and get the rounds in. I was very happy with the performance.

 

 

 

“It’s no secret I need the rounds. I need to prove that I can go 10 rounds and have plenty left in the tank, and I did that tonight.”

 

 

 

Après le combat, Wilder entered the ring to announce that the two undefeated heavyweights have agreed to a 2018 showdown for Wilder’s WBC title. A date and venue for the event, which will be produced and distributed by SHOWTIME PPV, sera annoncée sous peu.

WBC Heavyweight World Champion Deontay Wilder and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury announced Samedi that they have agreed to a heavyweight showdown later this year. Wilder vs. Fureur, a 12-round matchup for Wilder’s WBC Heavyweight World Championship, will be produced and distributed by SHOWTIME PPV. A date and venue for the event will be announced shortly.

The 6-foot-7 Wilder is 40-0 avec 39 knockouts and American’s only heavyweight champion since 2007. The 6-foot-9 Fury is a former IBF, WBA and WBO Champion who has never been defeated in 27 combats professionnels.

WORCESTER, Masse. (Août 19, 2018) – Sept ans après son dernier combat, “Le Gallo” Jose Antonio Rivera retour sur le ring en grande mode nuit dernière (Samedi) en tête d'affiche “Retrouvailles, présenté par Granite Chin Promotions, en association avec Promotions Rivera Divertissement, au Palladium à Worcester, Massachusetts.

 

 

 

La Rivera âgé de 45 ans (42-6-1, 25 KOs), 35 livres plus léger qu'il ne l'était en Février quand il a commencé la formation, emballé la maison dans sa ville natale, pleinement divertir ses fans de soutien. Trois fois, deux division champion du monde Rivera pression Larry “Slomoshun: Forgeron (10-38-1, 7 KOs) de la cloche d'ouverture et il n'a jamais laissé place.

 

 

 

Il a fallu quelques tours pour Rivera à porter la rouille, mais il a nourri Smith une alimentation régulière de coups de corps, briser progressivement son adversaire, comme il a remporté tour après tour sur les points. Aussi la lutte à la maison pour la première fois, Gris a fustigé son adversaire de jeu, le craquage avec une image parfaite, combinaison gauche-combat qui a mis Fernandez sur son dos. Fernandez a battu le comte, mais l'arbitre Bob Benoit arrêté l'action.

 

 

Southbridge, MA moyen junior Wilfredo “le Sucaro” Païen (5-0, 3 KOs) resté invaincu, en utilisant une attaque de corps implacable de laisser tomber Engelberto “Guarura” Valenzuela (11-15, 3 KOs) trois fois, la dernière fin de la mi-combat à travers le troisième tour.

 

 

 

Springfield, MA junior léger Joshua Orta (1-0, 1 KO) tourné dans un début impressionnant pro dans une grange-brûleur qui a pris fin lorsque (1-8-1, 1 KO), de Worcester, n'a pas pu continuer à se battre après le troisième tour.

Rawlings quittera son poste dans l'anneau “BKFC 2: Une nouvelle ère” Samedi, Août 25 du Mississippi Coast Coliseum à Biloxi, Mississippi et diffusée en direct à travers les États-Unis et au Canada sur le pay-per-view dans l'état de l'art 4K.

“Il a fallu beaucoup de temps et d'efforts pour vraiment obtenir MMA respecté et regarda comme un sport bon, et je pense que ça va prendre cela avec mains nues. Mais le dernier événement et la fluidité qui a fonctionné, comment il était professionnel, les combats ont été formidables. Nous avons tous regardé comme combattants chevronnés là-bas, que nous étions, et je pense que ce que nous devons absolument continuer à le faire et il progressera de là.

 

 

 

“Je pense que le U.S. et même en Australie un jour ouvrir à mains nues faire aussi bien, parce qu'il est un grand événement. C'est un sport de combat, et il était pas plus fou que MMA et la boxe, que vous avez vu du dernier événement.

 

 

 

“BKFC fait ce droit, ils le font de manière très professionnelle. Ils apportent dans toutes les bonnes personnes et tous les combattants à droite. Tant que ça continue de cette façon, Je pense que le sport va décoller.

 

 

 

“Beaucoup de fans de boxe viennent plus à nu jarret parce qu'ils aiment l'aspect stand-up de la boxe et c'est juste une nouvelle fraîche, zest de fun. Il prend de nouveau la vieille école.

 

 

 

“Même juste la scène locale en Australie, J'étais avec les combats de l'UFC et de gagner avec l'UFC et je pouvais marcher autour d'une promotion de la boxe et personne ne bat un cil à moi. Ils me reconnaissent, mais ils ne sont pas intéressés par ce que je faisais. Mais dès que je l'ai signé pour lutter contre mains nues, j'avais tant de gens qui me parlent et offrant des messages vraiment encourageants.

 

 

 

“Si, il sorte de évoqué tous les fans de boxe pour vraiment derrière et heureux pour elle. Il a été assez cool.”

 

 

 

Sur la lutte à BKFC 1…

 

 

 

“Je me suis finalement installé quand je débarquai un uppercut vraiment propre. Pour être frappé, il ne se sentait pas différent de MMA du tout. Il est plus comme une piqûre d'un bruit sourd pour un gant de boxe.

 

 

 

“La seule différence que j'ai trouvé son poinçonnage, si vous ne l'avez pas sélectionné où vous allez vous poinçonner senti un peu dans vos phalanges, mais rien de fou. Le gonflement était assez mauvais, mais je houle et ecchymose très facilement. Il n'a pas été trop loin différent de MMA.

 

 

 

“après BKFC 1, J'ai eu plusieurs messages de combattants en Australie, les Etats Unis., même les gens avec l'UFC, me demandant comment je traitais, si elle était amusant, si je le ferais à nouveau et comment ils pourraient s'impliquer.

 

 

 

“Il était juste un tas d'émotions différentes, mais beaucoup d'intérêt pour ce. Et j'ai beaucoup d'Australiens qui veulent participer. Les Australiens aiment à se battre. Je ne pense pas que vous avez jamais rencontré un boxeur australien qui ne va pas là-bas et tout laisser dans cet anneau. Il est bien ancrée en nous. Ce sport est certainement construit pour un Australien.”

 

 

 

Sur son combat à venir à BKFC 2…

 

 

 

“Rien n'a vraiment changé de notre côté de celui-ci. Mon entraîneur est un kung-fu et expert en combat main ouverte, donc tout ce qu'il a connu depuis des années que nous venons de traduire dans l'aspect de la boxe de celui-ci.

 

 

 

“Je suppose que nous savons maintenant à quoi nous attendre la semaine de combat, ce que ça va être comme là-bas. C'était un peu l'inconnu de retour (en Juin). Mais j'ai eu tellement de plaisir la dernière fois, et je suis très heureux de retourner là-bas et tout faire à nouveau.

 

 

 

“mains nues a été fait pour moi. Je ne peux pas attendre pour affronter la Grande-Bretagne Hart le 25 Août. Ce sport est tout au sujet de la précision et je sais qu'elle va venir se battre et essayer de prendre cet élan de moi. Je ne vais pas laisser cela se produire.”

“BKFC 1 à Cheyenne (Wyoming) a été la première fois 130 années qu'un combat de mains nues a été sanctionné aux États-Unis. Si, il est une longue période à venir.

 

 

 

“Avec des combats à poings nus, vous devez être très précis. Vous devez percer à travers votre index et le majeur et le transférer à travers l'avant-bras où il amortit le coup. En dehors de cela, vous allez casser votre main.

 

 

 

“Un combat a cinq rounds de deux minutes. Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'un sentiment période sur.

 

 

 

“Quand j'ai vu Joey Beltran allait se battre Tony Lopez je savais qu'il était le combat de la nuit, et il était assez sûr. Ce fut une leçon dans la gestion du temps. Au début, Tony lui se sentait sur et par le troisième tour, il est entré dans son rythme, Mais c'était trop tard.

 

 

 

“Pour les hommes, il a toujours été rounds de trois minutes. Si, ils doivent trouver un moyen de gérer les rounds de deux minutes à BKFC.

 

 

 

“Les règles de (BKFC) sont similaires aux règles de la boxe, ce qui est la manière de David Feldman de convaincre les États. combattants MMA utilisent Genoux, tibias et les coudes.

 

 

 

“Sam Shewmaker avait le coup de la nuit. Il a combattu un gars des forces spéciales qui a été ciselée et 305 livres. Je ne pensais pas qu'il avait une chance. Ensuite, vous le voyez dans la lutte et la terre qui pronation droit. C'était fini.

The powerful Fernandez (16-0, 14 KOs), a prospect from Bilbao, Spain co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and MaravillaBox Promotions, will be making his third ShoBox appearance when he faces Foster (13-2, 8 KOs) in the 10-round main event contested at 130 livres.

Making a name for himself as one of the best prospects in the sport, “Jonfer” has knocked out 14 consecutive opponents. The 5’11” Spaniard, who holds an 88 percent knockout ratio, is traveling to the U.S. for the fourth time with an eye on a statement victory.

 

 

 

“O’Shaquie Foster is a very good fighter and although he was the underdog he put on a great performance by beating Frankie Alba in his last fight,” Fernandez said. “This is a big fight for both of us. Studio coverage of SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL from New York begins at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT with host Brian Custer and Hall of Fame analyst Steve Farhood providing pre-and post-fight analysis. Live coverage from Belfast, which will be provided by BT Sport, will begin with the Pianeta ring walk shortly after 3:30. U.K. sportscaster John Rawling will call the action with Barry Jones providing analysis, and Ronald McIntosh conducting post-fight interviews for Fury-Pianeta.

“This is a dream. It’s soon going to be a reality to fight at Windsor Park in front of my passionate fan base. It’s special not only for me but for the city as well. Everybody’s talking about it and there’s a buzz in the city.

 

 

 

“I’m ready for this. I’ve seen a few things that Luke has said and I truly have not been overlooking him at all this whole camp. With all due respect, this is about more than Luke Jackson. This is about me at Windsor Park and I’ve trained very hard. I’m fitter than I was against Nonito Donaire.

 

 

 

“I know a fair bit about Luke. He’s very highly ranked by the WBO, I think he’s a solid professional. I just believe that I’m a different level. It doesn’t matter what anybody says, whatever happens on the night is all that matters. It’s all about who gets their arm raised at the end of the night and I believe that’s going to be me.

 

 

 

“Since I’ve teamed up with Jamie and his team, I feel like a different person. I wish I would have done it years ago. I’m so happy now and I’m enjoying boxing and I’m ready to put on a big performance.

 

 

 

“People ask me about (Josh) Warrington and (Oscar) Valdez so I mention them and those are the fights I want, but Luke Jackson is the only guy who’s been on my mind this whole training camp.”

My father is 67 years old and he’s never left the country of Australia and for me to give my father a reason to fly halfway across the world fills me with pride.

Just two weeks ago they were building (Sergey) Kovalev to fight (Dmitry) Bivol and he got beat and I believe we’re going to do the same thing.”
