Ghvamichava was scheduled to face undefeated Domonique Dolton, but he was forced to withdraw after suffering a cut during training.
“I’ve been training hard already and I’m 100 percent ready for war,” said Prescott. “I don’t know a lot about this guy, but I’ll figure him out in the ring quickly. I like fighting on short notice. I beat Roberto Garcia on short notice so fighting this guy will not be a problem.”

A standout amateur representing Colombia, Prescott fights out of Miami and was undefeated in his first 21 lutas profissionais, including a first round knockout of former world champion Amir Khan that cemented his spot in the sport. The 33-year-old also owns victories over Richar Abril, Jose Augustin Feria and Francisco Figueroa and enters this fight having won his last two fights heading into this Julho 12 confronto.
Ghvamichava will look to rebound from a defeat in his last bout after riding a five-fight win streak that had dated back to 2013. The 30-year-old took down previously unbeaten fighters Jonathan Garcia and Chris Singleton in 2014 and followed it up with triumphs over Cameron Kreal and Cosme Rivera in 2015. Originally from Poti, Georgia, Ghvamichava now trains out of Hayward, Califórnia.

On his opponent change from Luis Collazo to Felix Diaz …
“It’s unfortunate that Collazo got hurt, but Diaz is a very good fighter and I know he’s going to bring it. I’ve been sparring with nothing but lefties, and since both Diaz and Collazo are southpaws, it’s business as usual. “I have an unbelievable team behind me. First off my dad Sammy Sr. is there watching my every move, so I’m very comfortable with him by my side. Charles Leverette is the head coach, with Ryan Rimsek working the mitts. Jason Barber is my strength and conditioning coach. Everyone is doing a great job. We have a great game plan that we feel we can execute against Diaz. I’m very happy with my team.”
On when he thinks he’ll be ready to challenge for a world title…
“I feel I’m ready now. I’m ranked in the top ten in three of the major sanctioning organizations, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know a victory against Diaz will get me closer to a title shot. I have to keep winning to fulfil the goal I set for myself when I first started boxing, and that’s to become a world champion.”
On the current landscape of the welterweight division….
“The division is loaded with great fighters. With the exception of Jesse Vargas, all the champions are undefeated. The road to get to the top is very tough because everyone in the top ten is an exceptional fighter. I think it’s the toughest division in boxing.”
FELIX DIAZ
On fighting Sammy Vasquez on short notice…
“I stay ready in the gym. I had a fight scheduled with Miguel Vasquez that fell through so now it’s on to another Vasquez. I had to switch to southpaw sparring but that is nothing new to me. I fought a lot of southpaws on short notice in the amateurs. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I’m going to make the best of it.”
On his current training camp …
“I’m having a great camp. Everything is coming together for me. My punches are accurate and my timing is better than ever. I’m looking very good in sparring and I know I’ll be at my best on fight night.”
On the opportunity to get into world title contention…

On bouncing back from his first defeat in his last bout…
“In my last bout I suffered my first loss against Lamont Peterson, a majority decision. It was a very close fight and I really felt I came out on top. “Camp foi grande. I started in Cincinnati and finished in D.C. with Barry Hunter, Patrice Harris and of course Mike Stafford. During my time in D.C., I sparred with Lamont Peterson, who turned southpaw for me.
“I have a great deal of respect for Shafikov. Tough guy, experienced but he had his chance and it’s my time now. This is my toughest fight on paper but I feel good. It’s my time to earn my respect.
“It’s a huge honor and blessing to headline on ESPN on 4th of July weekend. I want to put on a good show,
“Its extra special to honor on this weekend, being that I was a marine and to headline and I want to put on a patriotic and great performance.
“I believe a win will open the doors for a world title. Na minha cabeça, I am taking this fight as a world title fight. That is how important this fight is and before the end of the year, I hope to get a crack at a world title.”
DENIS SHAFIKOV
“Everything went well in camp. We had a four-month camp. We were supposed to fight a couple of months ago but when that fight was cancelled, Denis relaxed for a minute and then this opportunity came up.
“Herring has a great record and he represented the U.S. in the Olympics. He is still young and I feel that my experience will be the determining factor.
“I accepted this fight because a win gets us in line for big opportunities, including another shot at a world championship.”
PATRYK SZYMANSKI
“I’m excited about the opportunity to take on an experienced opponent. I think it will be a good test for me and a chance to show off my skills.
“I’ve worked very hard so that I can leave an impression with my performance. These are the kind of fights that I have to win and win in style if I want to reach my goals in this sport.”

“O treinamento em Las Vegas tem sido incrível. Correr em altitudes elevadas é algo novo para mim. Eu tive que me acostumar com isso quando cheguei aqui. Tem sido um acampamento difícil, mas sei que todas as palavras difíceis valerão a pena.”

Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Fulton is coming off of a fourth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten Adalberto Zorilla in April. The 21-year-old is unbeaten since turning pro in 2014 and will be looking to make it a perfect 10 ganha em 10 pro starts when he enters the ring on July 2. Another Olympian who represented his native Ukraine, Khytrov also won an Amatuer World Championship before turning pro in 2013. Desde então, the 27-year-old has dominated on his way to stopping contenders Josh Luteran and Nick Brinson in addition to previously unbeaten fighters Maurice Louishomme and Aaron Coley. Now training out of Brooklyn, his last outing saw him dominate Kenneth McNeil in his first 10-round bout.

SAN ANTONIO (Junho 26, 2016) – Fast rising super welterweight prospect Justin DeLoach (15-1, 8 KOs) dominado Júnior Castillo rolling to an eight round decision by scores of 79-71, 78-72 e 78-72 no evento principal de Premier Boxe dos Campeõeson NBCSN.

Dropping Solid in round, Karl went past the fifth stanza for the first time in his career enroute to victory by scores of 80-71, 79-72 e 78-73.
