A segunda luta televisionada em FS1 e FOX Deportes contou com Sergio frias(18-6-2, 9 KOs) nocauteando o ex-campeão mundial Vic Darchinyan (42-9-1, 31 KOs) na segunda rodada (2:45) de sua luta de peso pena júnior.

“Eu não queria entrar em um slugfest com ele porque eu sabia que tinha que conseguir esses pontos de volta (depois de cair na primeira rodada). Eu sabia que tinha que fazê-lo pagar por aquelas saudades. Consegui tirar pontos disso na segunda metade da luta.
“Ele estava jogando alguns tiros selvagens. Eu só tive que me ajustar a isso. Eu senti que minha defesa era boa por dentro.
“Seus tiros estavam saindo longe, e eu estava pegando aqueles de dentro. Na segunda metade da luta eu definitivamente vim muito forte e coloquei pressão. Esperamos tanto que acho que teve algum efeito na minha energia.
“Eu pensei que tinha vencido ele hoje à noite e mereceu a decisão. Eu acredito que foi perto, então eu não tenho nenhum problema com os juízes julgando uma decisão dividida, mas eu ganhei.
“Eu definitivamente lutaria com ele novamente. Eu tenho que ser capaz de vencer caras como ele, e da melhor maneira, se eu quiser ser campeão.”

NICE, CALIFÓRNIA. (Julho 13, 2016) – Candidato ao peso meio-médio Levam Ghvamichava (17-2-1, 13 KOs) scored two knockdowns before stopping Breidis Prescott (29-8, 21 KOs) in the seventh round of the main event Terça-feira noite em Premier Boxe dos Campeões TERÇA TOE-de-toe em FS1 e Boxe dos Campeões on FOX Deportes from Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino in Nice, Califórnia.
Ghvamichava outworked and outslugged Prescott, knocking him down in round four before knocking him down again in round seven and eventually forcing the stoppage. Prescott got off to a fast start, using his length and a strong right hand to dictate action in the first frame.
Prescott couldn’t keep up the work rate however, as Ghvamichava began to close the distance and created more toe-to-toe exchanges. Na quarta rodada, Ghvamichava connected with a left hook and a right cross that dropped Prescott, who was able to beat the count and get back on his feet.
After the knockdown, Prescott attempted to revert to his round-one form by boxing and using his jab, but the persistent Ghvamichava kept working hard to get inside on the taller fighter. The hard work paid off in round seven when Prescott was severely staggered with a right hand before being sent to the canvas by a left hook.
Prescott was unable to recover as he beat the count narrowly but was on shaky ground. He hit the canvas two more times, both ruled pushes by the referee before a hard combination by Ghvamichava in the corner forced referee Michael Margado to stop the fight at 2:37 of round seven.

The co-main event of the night saw Marcos Hernandez (8-0, 2 KOs) earn a unanimous decision in a competitive and entertaining eight-round super welterweight brawl against previously unbeaten Thomas Colina (6-1, 1 KO).
Hernandez and Hill went back and forth from start to finish in the first eight round bout of either prospect’s career. Hill looked to dictate the action with his jab and body work, but it was Hernandez who had more success throughout the night with his left hand and various uppercuts.
The sixth round saw Hill lose a point early on in the round for a low blow. The deduction clearly increased the urgency in Hill who pressed forward, delivering the best action of the fight. Hill pushed the pace but Hernandez withstood the strong combinations and repeatedly caught Hill with strong left hands. Outside of staggering Hill once early in the seventh round, both fighters continued to throw hard punches all the way to the final bell.
The punch stats reflected the close nature of the fight as Hernandez out landed Hill 161 para 157 while it was Hill who had the slight edge in accuracy, aterrissagem 33 percent of his punches to 31 percent for Hernandez. Even without the point deduction, the judges still preferred Hernandez, who landed the more significant punches, and gave him the decision by scores of 79-72, 78-73 e 77-74.

McAllister controlled the fight by working off of his strong jab with powerful right hands and hooks to the body. Yoruba continued to come forward throughout the fight, wildly throwing numerous overhand rights looking to stun the undefeated prospect.
After staggering Yoruba several times in round four, McAllister really began to do damage when he teed off on Yoruba with multiple unanswered shots to close out the frame. The one-sided action showed in the punch stats as McAllister out landed Yoruba 184 para 76 eventually leading to a frustrated Yoruba being deducted a point in round six for low blows.

Ghvamichava was scheduled to face undefeated Domonique Dolton, but he was forced to withdraw after suffering a cut during training.

A standout amateur representing Colombia, Prescott fights out of Miami and was undefeated in his first 21 lutas profissionais, including a first round knockout of former world champion Amir Khan that cemented his spot in the sport. The 33-year-old also owns victories over Richar Abril, Jose Augustin Feria and Francisco Figueroa and enters this fight having won his last two fights heading into this Julho 12 confronto.
Ghvamichava will look to rebound from a defeat in his last bout after riding a five-fight win streak that had dated back to 2013. The 30-year-old took down previously unbeaten fighters Jonathan Garcia and Chris Singleton in 2014 and followed it up with triumphs over Cameron Kreal and Cosme Rivera in 2015. Originally from Poti, Georgia, Ghvamichava now trains out of Hayward, Califórnia.

“It’s unfortunate that Collazo got hurt, but Diaz is a very good fighter and I know he’s going to bring it. I’ve been sparring with nothing but lefties, and since both Diaz and Collazo are southpaws, it’s business as usual. “I have an unbelievable team behind me. First off my dad Sammy Sr. is there watching my every move, so I’m very comfortable with him by my side. Charles Leverette is the head coach, with Ryan Rimsek working the mitts. Jason Barber is my strength and conditioning coach. Everyone is doing a great job. We have a great game plan that we feel we can execute against Diaz. I’m very happy with my team.”
On when he thinks he’ll be ready to challenge for a world title…
“I feel I’m ready now. I’m ranked in the top ten in three of the major sanctioning organizations, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know a victory against Diaz will get me closer to a title shot. I have to keep winning to fulfil the goal I set for myself when I first started boxing, and that’s to become a world champion.”
On the current landscape of the welterweight division….
“The division is loaded with great fighters. With the exception of Jesse Vargas, all the champions are undefeated. The road to get to the top is very tough because everyone in the top ten is an exceptional fighter. I think it’s the toughest division in boxing.”

“I stay ready in the gym. I had a fight scheduled with Miguel Vasquez that fell through so now it’s on to another Vasquez. I had to switch to southpaw sparring but that is nothing new to me. I fought a lot of southpaws on short notice in the amateurs. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I’m going to make the best of it.”
On his current training camp …
“I’m having a great camp. Everything is coming together for me. My punches are accurate and my timing is better than ever. I’m looking very good in sparring and I know I’ll be at my best on fight night.”
On the opportunity to get into world title contention…

“In my last bout I suffered my first loss against Lamont Peterson, a majority decision. It was a very close fight and I really felt I came out on top. Ghvamichava will look to rebound from a defeat in his last bout after riding a five-fight win streak that had dated back to 2013. The 30-year-old took down previously unbeaten fighters Jonathan Garcia and Chris Singleton in 2014 and followed it up with triumphs over Cameron Kreal and Cosme Rivera in 2015. Originally from Poti, Georgia, Ghvamichava now trains out of Hayward, Califórnia.
Fighting out of Long Beach, Califórnia, McAllister turned pro in December 2014 and has knocked out every opponent he’s faced. The 25-year-old stayed busy in 2015 as he picked up five victories before making his 2016 debut with a third round knockout of Tyrone Selders in January. He takes on the Goias, Brazil-native Pereira who will make his second start in the U.S. and most recently stopped Humberto Conceicao in March.

SAN ANTONIO (Maio 29, 2016) – O ex-campeão do mundo Miguel “Titere” Vazquez (36-5, 13 KOs) defeated Ecuador’s Erick Óssea (16-4, 8 KOs) in a 10-round battle that headlined Premier Boxe dos Campeões em FS1 e FOX Sports Sábado night from the Dancehall in San Antonio.
The former champion from Mexico worked behind a strong jab and brought the fight to Bone throughout the main event. Bone was able to return fire and was effective at times when countering.
The jab of Vazquez eventually led to success with the right hand that was able to hurt his opponent and keep the battle-tested Bone from building momentum.
Both fighters landed at a nearly identical rate as Vazquez connected on 22 percent of his punches while Bone landed 21 por cento. Contudo, it was Vazquez with the advantage in punches landed at 94 para 74.
The fight featured many close rounds, which was reflected by the varied scores of the judges. No final, all three had the fight for Vazquez by scores of 99-91, 97-93 e 96-94.
No co-main event, rising featherweight Miguel Flores (20-0, 9 KOs) kept his record perfect as he defeated Mexican veteran Ruben Tamayo (26-9-4, 18 KOs) in their 10-round bout.
Facing a southpaw for the first time as a professional, Flores had some trouble early with the game Tamayo who was able to penetrate the defense of the 23-year-old with left hands while also opening a cut with an accidental head butt in round two.
As the fight went on Flores showed improved movement and a variety of effective punches that allowed him to take control of the fight. Most notably, Flores used a bruising left hook to the body that left Tamayo marked up and slowed down his offense.
Both fighters threw over 550 punches but it was Flores who out landed his opponent 175-121. The judges rewarded the still undefeated fighter with the unanimous decision by scores of 100-90 e 98-92 duas vezes.

“I wanted to throw the heavier punches because I thought I could win by knockout, but that didn’t happen. There was an overhand right in the eighth round that I thought hurt him badly.
“He was an elusive fighter and survived, so there are still things that I have to work on.
“There was some difficulty adjusting to the late opponent switch, but overall, sem problemas. I had been sparring southpaws as well as right-handers.
“If I could have followed up on some of the hooks and overhand rights, I could have gotten him out of there.
“I’ve always wanted to fight Adrien Broner. I want to make that.”
ERICK OSSO
“Vazquez was awkward and hard to fight. I gave it my all in there.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting back in the gym and working on some things before I return to the ring.”

The 29-year-old Vazquez had a successful reign as 135-pound champion and defended his title eight times during his championship run.
