CHEICK KONGO TAKES HOME MAJORITY DECISION IN MAIN EVENT OF ‘BELLATOR 161

After absorbing a devastating blow that sent him to the canvas early in the opening round of action, “The Stallion” quickly recovered and responded in a big way in rounds two and three. The 28-year-old Campos scored his second straight win and sixth since joining the Bellator MMA fray. For Chan, the loss ends an impressive run of seven consecutive victories over a dominant four-year stretch.

‘THE AMERICAN GANGSTER’ CHAEL SONNEN ENDS RETIREMENT, SIGNS WITH BELLATOR MMA

VELADO CAPTURES GOLD, HALL RETAINS AT NEF 25

Lewiston, Maine (Setembro 10, 2016) - Fights Nova Inglaterra (NEF) realizou seu evento mais recente, “NEF 25: HERÓIS & VILLAINS” Sábado à noite no Androscoggin Bank Colisée em Lewiston, Maine. O evento contou com lutas de artes marciais mistas e boxe profissional.

 

Na parte de encaixotamento do cartão, John Webster (9-7-1) derrotado Zenon Herrera (0-3) por decisão unânime na véspera do 48º aniversário de Webster. A última vitória de Webster no boxe voltou em 2004, também em Lewiston, antes de ele tirar uma década da competição ativa.

 

Também no ringue de boxe, Casey Kramlich (5-0-1) permaneceu invicto enquanto parava John ortolani (0-1) na quarta rodada por nocaute técnico. Da mesma forma, Brandon Montella (5-0) manteve seu recorde profissional perfeito com uma paralisação no segundo turno de Tollison Lewis (2-2).

 

Rachael Joyce (2-0) ganhou uma decisão unânime sobre Jessica Borga (2-2) em uma luta amadora altamente antecipada para mulheres. Rafael Velado (4-0) conquistou o título amador dos leves com uma finalização no primeiro turno de Jimmy Jackson (3-3). Caleb Salão (8-3) manteve o título amador de penas, e ao fazê-lo, o campeão peso galo Johnny Crafts (4-1) a primeira derrota de sua carreira, in a very close split decision on the judges’ scorecards.
