Super Prospect Shoh Ergashev Brutalizes Ramsey with First-Round KO, Saturday in Chicago

Uzbekistani super lightweight Shohjahon “Shoh” Ergashev showed why he’s the new 140-lb fighter to watch in boxing last Saturday, Novembre 10, au pavillon de l'UIC à Chicago, as he destroyed opponent Zack Ramsey in the first round.

Ergashev’s promoter, Dmitriy Salita, says that in preparation for this fight, Ergashev had been knocking out heavyweights in the Kronk Gym where he trains.

 

 

 

“Shohjahon is one of the hardest punchers in any weight class,»Dit Salita. “His skills and physical strength make him not only one of the best in his division, but I believe one of the most exciting and powerful fighters in all of boxing.”

LAS VEGAS (Novembre 12, 2018) – Champion de boxe en deux divisions Badou Jack a continué à montrer qu'il est vraiment un champion du monde entier en effectuant un voyage passionnant à Dubaï qui comprenait une invitation à participer au Dubai Fitness Challenge, une rencontre avec la star de l'UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov et bien plus.
Avec une invitation de Dubai Tourism, Jack a participé à l'initiative qui encourage les ressortissants des Émirats arabes unis, résidents et visiteurs à faire de l'exercice pendant au moins 30 minutes par jour, pour 30 jours consécutifs. Un événement public a donné à Jack une chance de diffuser davantage ses messages positifs.
“Ce fut un tel honneur d'être invité à cet événement qui faisait partie d'un voyage inoubliable,” a déclaré Jack. “Je suis très reconnaissant à la ville de Dubaï de m'avoir permis de parler aux gens de l'importance de rester actif. Il rejoint un groupe restreint dans la classe de 2018 être intronisé au Temple de la renommée de l'Association des anciens de boxe américaine.

Brandon Adams domine Shane Mosley Jr. pour remporter le championnat Contender

PHILADELPHIA, PENN.(Novembre 9, 2018)-Brandon Adams was dominant in pounding Shane Mosley Jr. over 10-rounds to win a wide unanimous decision and claim The Contender championship at the Forum in Inglewood, Californie.

The two-fight telecast presented by Premier Boxing Champions continues live from Los Angeles, where Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. will take on Alfredo Angulo in a 10-round super middleweight clash at STAPLES Center.

Chavez, Jr. (50-3-1, 32 KOs) is the son of Mexican boxing legend and Hall of Famer Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr. The 32-year-old from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico ripped off 46 straight victories to start his career using a gritty boxing style that denoted his toughness in the ring. Chavez is seeking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez on May 6, 2017.

 

 

 

The 36-year-old Angulo (24-7, 20 KOs) is a tough brawler who has faced some of the best boxers in the sport. Angulo, who lives in Coachella, California but was born in Mexicali, Basse-Californie, Mexique, is coming off a hard-fought split decision loss to former world champion Sergio Mora in April.

 

 

 

“I am excited to be back on December 1 to perform for the great Mexican fans in Los Angeles,” said Chavez Jr. “At my weight I know I can beat anyone. I am focused and feel strong. Angulo will be first, but then I will pursue a belt at 168. I’m putting the division on notice. Chavez is back.”

Heavyweight Contenders Luis Ortiz and Joe Joyce Compete In Separate Bouts and Look To Position Themselves For Title Shot In Resurgent Division

Hurd, who hails from Accokeek, Maryland, floored Erislandy Lara in the final minute of their unification showdown to earn the narrow split-decision victory over the divisions’ longest-reigning champion. I live in Los Angeles now and this is going to be like fighting in my front yard. I’m going to be feeling good on fight night.”

CARLOS NEGRON TRAINING CAMP NOTES

MIAMI, FL. (Novembre 9, 2018) – Portoricaine olympienne Carlos Negron is deep into training camp in Miami for his 10-round heavyweight showdown against top contender Dominic “Difficulté” Breazeale aura lieu le samedi, Décembre 22 live on FOX and FOX Deportes and presented by Premier Boxing Champions from Barclays Center, la maison de BROOKLYN BOXE ™.

 

 

 

Born in San Juan, Negron represented his home country at the 2008 Olympic games and is eager to return to fight in front of New York’s large contingent of Puerto Rican boxing fans on December 22.

 

 

 

“This is a great opportunity not only against a top opponent, but to be on the big stage in front of the great Puerto Rican fans and put on a great performance for them,” dit Négron, who last fought in New York in 2010. “I’m very confident in my abilities and I understand the job I have in front of me. Everyone will see how hard I’ve worked when we get in the ring.”

 

 

 

Under the guidance of trainer Herman Caicedo, Negron will return to the ring for the first time since June 2017, when he scored a knockout victory over veteran contender Derric Rossy in a dominating performance that saw him score multiple knockdowns. Negron has worked with Caicedo for nearly a year, previously helping prepare Luis Ortiz for his heavyweight title bout against Deontay Wilder.

 

 

 

“Having Carlos in camp for an extended period of time before the Breazeale fight was even announced has really allowed us to be leaps ahead at this point in training camp,” said Caicedo. “Mentally and physically he is really sharp right now and it’s going to show on fight night.”

 

 

 

“Working with Luis Ortiz and the other fighters in our gym has really helped push me to another level,” dit Négron. “We’re grinding every day and they truly demand the best out of me. There’s no being mediocre here. You have to put in your best effort every day.”

 

 

 

With the six-foot-six Negron meeting the six-foot-seven Breazeale, this matchup is sure to display the power of two giants of the division. A former title challenger and U.S. Olympien, Breazeale has shown the ability to come back in a fight and turn the tides with one punch. For Negron, he knows the task in front of him is tall in stature and order.

 

 

 

“Breazeale is a very tough fighter and what he might lack in skill, he more than makes up for in heart,” dit Négron. “He certainly has shown skill to get to this point in his career, but he also has that special something that’s gotten him through some tough fights.

 

 

 

“It’s going to come down to intelligence and controlling the ring. I’m a very smart fighter with a lot of experience. I’ve had a loss and I don’t want to experience that again. I believe whoever gets thrown off their game plan is going to suffer and I’m going to make sure I’m prepared for everything he throws at me.”

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Novembre 8, 2018) – Pour des raisons impliquant des problèmes médicaux, Final Fight Championship a annoncé que “FFC 34” le 9 novembre a été officiellement annulé.

 

 

 

Nick Sadeghi, MD d'Athlete Advantage Medical à Las Vegas, Nevada, a publié la déclaration suivante au Final Fight Championship.

 

La Commission des sports de l'État du Nevada exige qu'une série d'examens médicaux soient effectués par un combattant professionnel afin de déterminer l'état de santé d'un combattant., le résultat de ces examens déterminant si le combattant sera autorisé à concourir ou non. Le bien-être physique du combattant est le plus préoccupant. Il a été déterminé par des médecins indépendants effectuant les examens pour la FFC ainsi que par la Commission sportive de l'État du Nevada que plusieurs combattants prévus pour la carte de combat du 9 novembre ne seraient pas en mesure de concourir en raison de résultats anormaux d'ARM qui ont identifié de petits anévrismes dans le cerveau.. Pour des raisons évidentes, ces combattants ne pourraient pas être autorisés à concourir sans un bilan médical approprié. Cela comprend la consultation d'un neurochirurgien et d'un radiologue interventionnel. Certains combattants peuvent être effacés après cela, mais certains peuvent avoir besoin d'une intervention chirurgicale pour corriger l'anévrisme avant de pouvoir continuer à se battre à l'avenir.

 

 

 

PDG / Président de la FFC, Orsat Zovko, a publié sa propre déclaration concernant l'annulation malheureuse.

 

 

 

“Nous sommes déçus de faire cette annonce, mais à si court préavis, il était impossible d'avancer car quatre de nos six combats ont été arrêtés par la commission et le personnel médical, y compris notre Main Event et Co-Event,” dit Zovko.

 

 

 

“Nous devons suivre les règles et directives strictes de la Nevada Athletic Commission, et nous respectons les décisions prises par la communauté médicale, parce que c'est dans le meilleur intérêt des combattants, et protéger leur santé est le but ultime.”

Marcos Hernandez Looking to Steal the Show on The Contender Finale

FRESNO, COMME (Novembre 8, 2018) – Middleweight “Homme fou” Marcos Hernandez (12-1-1, 3 KOs) will look to continue his recent success on The Contender finale this Friday at The Forum in Inglewood, Californie. The 6-round bout will be televised on EPIX, as he takes on fellow cast member Quantavious Cash (10-1, 7 KOs).

Hernandez, who hails from Fresno, COMME, is the only cast member of The Contender that didn’t lose a single fight on the show, besides Shane Mosley Jr. (11-2, 8 KOs) et Brandon Adams (20-2, 13 KOs), who will meet in the finals. Dans son combat le plus récent, Hernandez defeated Daniel Valdivia (14-3, 10 KOs) in a fight that Valdivia was rocked badly in the last two rounds. Some controversy happened after the bout as Valdivia was originally announced the winner, despite being out boxed and beaten, an official at ringside counted the scores again and realized a judging error and announced Hernandez, the rightful winner.

On top of the bizarre ending, Hernandez was cut in the fight and forced to sit, because of his cut. Valdivia replaced him and got dropped and beaten by Shane Mosely Jr., who now is in the finals.

Hernandez is readier than ever now to make things happen as he wishes to keep his momentum moving forward and face the best in the division.

“I have had a great camp with my trainer Henry Ramirez in Riverside, comme, and I am ready for Friday night.” Saïd Hernandez. “I am going to show all of my skills when I step in the ring and I’m going to steal the show.”

“I have never seen Hernandez train this hard, be this motivated and want to prove a point this badly,” stated his longtime advisor, Peter Lopes. “This is a different ‘Mad Man’.”
