“I love being in training camp and grinding every day. We’re just 100 percent focused on what we have to do. I’m seasoned enough where I know how to excel through these stages of camp. Je me sens bien.

 

 

 

“We always work on the jab to start our training session. Everyone knows that everything I do comes off of my jab. It’s all about the fundamentals. My dad is smart and knows my athletic potential is there. He’s focused on all the technical and strategic parts of the game.

 

 

 

“Whether we look to box or not will be a game-time decision. We’ll have to read the fight. I think we’re going to start trying to mix it up and then take it from there. It’s up to me to see the adjustments and make them. Whatever it takes to win this fight, I am prepared to do it.

 

 

 

“Danny’s counter-punching I think plays into my hands. I’m a combination puncher. There’s more than one coming. If there is only one coming, you don’t know where it’s coming from. I think it’s going to take care of Danny’s strength, but I don’t take it lightly. I know that he’s a strong fighter and that’s what I expect in the ring.

 

 

 

“I don’t believe that he’s going to stand toe-to-toe with me, but I do believe that’s where he thinks he can win the fight. The point is to hit and not get hit, so we’ll try to keep it as clean as possible. It gets rough in there sometimes, but if you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

 

 

 

“Once upon a time I probably would have that thought that I could just beat Danny with activity. But I know that I have to be sharp, precise and land most of my punches. I want to throw 60 a round and land 40 pour cent.

 

 

 

“I’m going go out there and be aggressive, be sharp, be quick and let the rest take care of itself. This is a humungous fight that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.”

“Danny is trying to pump himself up like he’s some kind of one-punch knockout artist. But I’m a one-punch artist if it’s against someone who can’t box anymore or who’s coming way up in weight. If you hit Shawn Porter with one of those punches, he’s going to hit right back, and with Shawn, it’s going to be more than one.

 

 

 

“My focus is on making sure that Shawn is prepared to do the things I need him to do. I have to get him where I need before I focus too much on what Danny is going to bring. We’re making sure Shawn is 100 percent first.”

Combattre hors de Salem, MA, Harney entame sa quatrième année en tant que professeur d'arts visuels à l'école secondaire Gloucester, où ses élèves apprennent la photographie, conception graphique et médias intégrés.

 

 

 

Haymakers for Hope est un 501 (c) (3) organisme de bienfaisance qui organise des événements de boxe caritatifs pour collecter des fonds pour la recherche contre le cancer, se soucier, la sensibilisation et le taux de survie. “En 2016, J'ai assisté à mon premier événement Haymakers for Hope et j'ai été époustouflé par l'énergie et le soutien pour une cause qui compte tellement pour beaucoup d'entre nous. Je savais que si on leur donne l'occasion de combattre ce serait un grand honneur et il est vraiment.”

 

 

 

Emily s'entraîne au Tomasello's Boxing Gym à Saugus, MA, où elle est entraînée par Joe Ricarrdi.

 

 

 

Harney se bat en l'honneur de sa grand-mère en retard, Susan Harney; ami et mentor Samuel E. pouce, Juge en chef du tribunal de district du Massachusetts; et Mason Silva, le fils de l'ami d'enfance d'Emily, Alissa Collins-Silva, et son mari, Kevin Silva. Mason a été diagnostiqué à l'âge de six mois avec un syndrome myélodysplasique et une leucémie AML. Après des mois de traitement, Mason est malheureusement décédé seulement 23 jours après son premier anniversaire.

 

 

 

“Cette dernière Décembre,” Harney ajouté, “On m'a demandé par un autre ami d'enfance à venir photographier ses enfants pour leur carte de Noël. Sa fille Dior (7) était dans la lutte contre la leucémie chez les enfants de Boston. Faire entrer les enfants dans un studio photo n'était pas une option; et réalisant que nous étions confinés dans sa chambre d'hôpital, nous avons transformé sa chambre en studio et réalisé des photographies spectaculaires. Dior était résilient et positif pendant le temps que nous avons partagé ce jour-là. Dior continue de se battre chaque jour avec résilience et grâce.”

Greg Cohen Greg Cohen de Promotions est fier d'annoncer la signature de champion poids lourd canadien Mladen « Monster » Miljas à un contrat de promotion.

 

 

 

invaincu Miljas, parfait 8-0, 8 KOs, se trouve un 6’ 6” impressionnant et pèse autour de 240 lbs. Le Mississauga-25 ans, Ontario, Jennifer a remporté le titre canadien Décembre dernier avec un arrêt à deux tours bouleversé de champion de longue date Dillon Carman.

 

 

 

Cohen, un promoteur bien établi dans le sport, a travaillé avec plusieurs champions du monde et s'est forgé la réputation de trouver des joyaux cachés comme Miljas dans les régions les moins fréquentées de la boxe.

Cohen dit qu'il impressionné par l'accomplissement de Miljas déjà et voit un potentiel énorme dans un combattant ce grand coup de poing qui peut.

BELFAST (Août 15, 2018) – Former two-division champion Carl Frampton and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury worked out in front of the public and media for the final time ahead of their respective bouts this Saturday, Août 18 live from Belfast, Northern Ireland on the SHOWTIME Boxing Facebook page and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube canal. Frampton’s opponent for the interim WBO featherweight title, undefeated Australian contender Luke Jackson, and Francesco Pianeta, Fury’s challenger in his second comeback fight, also worked out on Wednesday at Castle Court Shopping Centre in Belfast.

 

 

 

Studio coverage of SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL from New York begins at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT with host Brian Custer and Hall of Fame analyst Steve Farhood providing pre-and post-fight analysis. Live coverage from Windsor Park in Belfast, which will be provided by BT Sport, will begin with the Pianeta ring walk shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET. U.K. sportscaster John Rawling will call the action with Barry Jones providing analysis, and Ronald McIntosh conducting post-fight interviews for Fury-Pianeta. SHOWTIME will air an encore presentation later that evening on SHOWTIME EXTREME® (10 p.m. ET/PT).

Devin Haney devient le plus jeune promoteur de l'histoire de la boxe

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Août 15, 2018) – Promotions Devin Haney, la société de promotion appartenant à invaincu Jeunesse WBC et USBA Champion léger, Devin “Le rêve” Haney (19-0, 13 KOs), a obtenu une licence de promoteur de boxe par le Département des sports de l'État de Californie (CSAC).

 

 

 

À 19 ans, Devin Haney, qui est né à San Francisco et a grandi à Oakland, devient le plus jeune promoteur de l'histoire de la boxe. Avec l'application approuvée, Devin Haney Promotions a pris un bon départ et a hâte de présenter des événements en Californie.

 

 

 

“Obtenir l'approbation de ma licence de promoteur en Californie est quelque chose que j'envisage depuis que je suis devenu professionnel,” dit un Devin Haney ravi, qui vit maintenant à Las Vegas. “Devin Haney Promotions commencera à faire des spectacles à une échelle modeste qui mèneront éventuellement à des méga événements.”

 

 

 

“J'ai déjà quelques jeunes espoirs affamés sur ma liste et je chercherai à recruter d'autres combattants talentueux alors que nous progressons,” Haney a continué. “J'ai l'intention de présenter certains des meilleurs combattants de la boxe.”

 

 

 

Dans son dernier combat, Haney avait l'air sensationnel dans son AFFICHER L'HEURE début, Marquer un 9e round TKO contre un adversaire digne de Mason Menard (33-3, 24 KOs), qui de nombreux initiés de la boxe’ la pensée allait poser des problèmes à Devin. La performance de Haney était électrisante, le préparer pour un autre rendez-vous sur le réseau.

(Août 15, 2018) – Trois fois, champion du monde de deux-division “Le Gallo” Jose Rivera a un nouvel adversaire pour son combat de retour ce vendredi soir “Retrouvailles”, présenté par Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) en association avec Promotions Rivera Loisirs Les (À propos de nous), au Palladium à Worcester, Massachusetts.

 

 

 

Le âgé de 45 ans Rivera (41-6-1, 24 KOs), qui a été appariés Ruben “Modern Day Guerrier” Galvan, n'a pas trouvé jusqu'à ce que hier (Mardi) que Galvan avait cassé un doigt la veille. vétéran Texas Larry “Slomoshun” Forgeron (10-37-1, 7 KOs) est le remplacement tardif de Rivera dans l'événement principal de huit rondes.

 

 

 

“Je ne suis pas fan de changements de dernière minute,” Rivera a déclaré, “mais à ce stade, il est ça ou pas de combat, et je suis trop difficile de ne pas entraîné combattre.”

QUOI: Sports Showtime® Emmy-award winning reporter Jim Gray sat down with the fathers of Danny Garcia et Shawn Porter as the two former world champions prepare to meet September 8 for the vacant WBC Welterweight World Championship on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING.

 

Angel Garcia et Kenny Porter, who both also serve as their sons’ trainers, are asked by Gray how they react when they watch their sons take punishment in the ring.

 

 

 

“As a dad, I have to separate the boxing,” Angel Garcia said. “So when Danny’s in there I’ve got to look at him as a coach. I can’t look at it as a dad.”

 

 

 

Said Kenny Porter: “As a former boxer, I felt what it’s like to be in that ring… So I feel differently when he’s in the ring. I have a more competitive spirit towards winning than maybe someone who’s kid is in there and they’re looking at whether the kid is getting injured. I’m looking at it like, let’s win.”

 

 

 

Gray gets Porter and Garcia to open up about challenges, regrets and the aspirations they’ve carried for their progeny both in the ring and outside of it. “I do [have regrets],” Angel Garcia said. “I said my faults. I’m not perfect.”

 

 

 

Angel called himself the “most underrated trainer” in boxing today, and Danny the “most underrated fighter.”

 

 

 

At the end of the interview, Kenny unveils a Garcia “DSG” T-shirt that reads: “Showtime Destroys Garcia” and both fathers shared a big laugh.
