Las Vegas, Nevada – NABO Junior Welterweight Champion Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker (21-0-2, 16 KO) van Dallas, Texas, took “training camp” on the road in prep of a ten-round title defense against former world titlist Darleys Perez (33-2-1, 21 KO). Hooker-Perez is set as the lead-up undercard fight to the main event on HBO Pay-Per-View’s Kovalev-Ward “Pound For Pound” on Zaterdag, November. 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, vanaf 9:00 p.m. EN/6:00 p.m. PT.

 

Beginning with pre-training camp at his home gym, Maple Avenue Boxing Gym in Dallas, TX, Mighty Mo’s stops on the road included Maple Avenue’s West San Diego facility, the Institute for Human Kinetics in Southern California, as well as the Salas Boxing Academy and Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Gym in Las Vegas. In addition to training at some of boxing’s most renowned gyms, the Roc Nation Sports boxing sparkplug has also sparred with rising talents Devin Haney, Thomas Hill, Nick Frese, Marco Hall and WBO/WBC Super Lightweight Champion Terence Crawford.

 

Before heading into fight week, Hooker will co-host a media workout with Two-Time Olympic Gold MedalistClaressa Shields, who will be making her professional debut on the Kovalev-Ward fight card. The media workout will take place at 12:00 p.m. PT at Never Quit Boxing Gym – 2975 South Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV.

 

“It’s been a privilege to train at some of the best facilities and with some of boxing’s brightest and upcoming talents,” said Hooker. “I’m always about improving myself so that fans get the best from me when I show up in the ring. I’m fighting in Vegas and HBO Pay-Per-View for the first time and carrying a lot of pride for Dallas and the whole state of Texas.”

LAS VEGAS (November 10, 2016) – Another solid top-to-bottom “Knockout Night at the D card has been announced for Vrijdag nacht, November 18, luchten (9 p.m. PT / 12 a.m. EN) op CBS Sports Network live from inside the Centrum van Las Vegas Events Centertent.

Known for introducing the top stars of professional wrestling to the ring for 20 jaar, Justin Roberts will join the legendary CBS Sports Network broadcast team in Las Vegas for the Nov. 18 show to enhance the entrances of the “Knockout Night at the D” boxing stars of morgen.
North American Boxing Association (Ook) United States lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-2, 7 KO) defends his title in the 10-round main event against Demond “Body Shot” Brock (12-3-1, 4 KO), in de 10-round main event.
“Let it be clear,” Blanco said. “November 18th in Las Vegas, the world and my opponent will witness the fury of the Dominican from Matancita, Reynaldo Blanco, who is here to conquer the lightweight division. Let the war begin!”
In de 8-round co-feature, Puerto Rican KO artist and Daniel “El Duro” Rosario Cruz(11-1, 10 KO), a former World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino junior middleweight champion, takes on Mexican upset specialist Norberto Gonzalez (22-8, 13 KO).
The television opens with undefeated Las Vegas junior lightweight prospect Randy Moreno (6-0, 5 KO) in his first scheduled 6-round bout against Mexican veteran Daniel Perales (7-5-1, 4 KO)
Keeping with its goal to showcase young talent based in Las Vegas, junior flyweight Marina “Rotsachtig” Ramirez (2-0), fighting out of Idaho, meets the Bronx’ Natalie Gonzalez (2-0), while pro-debuting cruiserweight Jason Beauchamp faces Puerto Rican Kenny Cruz-Carrasquillo (0-2-1), in a pair of 4-round bouts.
Ook, fighting on the undercard in a 4-rounder is Roy Jones, Jr. beschermd Schaduwrijke Gamhour, a Swede fighting out of Pensacola, Florida, tegen David De La Cruz, Los Angeles, in a fight between pro-debuting middleweights. The full card has been announced for Salita Promotions’ laatste “Detroit Brawl” evenement in de Masonic Temple in Downtown Detroit, op Zaterdag, November 12.
In support of the six-round bantamweight main event between Detroit’s undefeated James Gordon Smith (10-0, 6 KO) en Tasjkent, Oezbekistan formidabele Olim Nazarov (14-2, 8 KO), will be a full array of local and international talent in competitive match-ups.

NEW YORK (November 10, 2016) – Daily News Golden Gloves Tournament director Brian Adams and highly respected boxing writer Bob Mladinich and will be Ring 8’s guest speakers this coming Tuesday nacht (November. 15) monthly meeting, vanaf 7 p.m. EN, at O’Neill’s Restaurant, gevestigd in 64-21 53rd Drive in Maspeth, New York.

Brian and Bob have experience in a variety of areas in boxing,” Ring 8 president Bob Duffy zei. “Both guys boxed earlier in their lives. Brian rates among the top site coordinator in our sport and Bob is a veteran boxing writer. Our members know both these men very well and they’re anxious to hear them speak about their experiences and expertise.”
A 4-time New York Golden Gloves champion, Adams is the director of the largest amateur boxing tournament in the world, as well as being an acclaimed broadcaster for promoter DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series. Brian fought professionally from 1997 naar 2003, met pensioen gaan met een 17-4-1 (8 KO) record, highlighted by his decision over previously undefeated lightweight Calvin Davis (19-0) at the famed Madison Square Garden, and knockout of 28-2-1 Luis Villalta.

One of the most exciting fighters in boxing makes his return to the ring this Zaterdag nacht as former world title challenger “The American Boy” Jason Litzau (29-3-1 23KO) van St. Paul, MN faces Iowa’s Lance “Lay ‘Em Down” Williams (7-5 4KO) in an eight round lightweight bout that headlines Jim Loons Boxing and Promotion’s “Throwdown at the Bear” evenement op Black Bear Casino and Resort in Carlton, MN. The action will be streamed exclusively to the world at FloBoxing.tv with the first bout starting at 7 p.m. CST.
