ORLANDO (November 22, 2021) – Undefeated Polish cruiserweight prospect Adrian “Pretty Boy” Pinheiro (5-0, 5 KO) has taken an unusual route to Nashville, where he will take on veteran Eric Abraham (6-10, 3 KO) this Saturday night in a 4-round bout at Municipal Auditorium. The 24-year-old Pinheiro was born in Poland, grew up in Brazil, moved to Orlando and then up to Massachusetts for a job opportunity in security in Boston’s Seaport and Financial districts. He started boxing three years ago, rapidly developing into a Central New England Golden Gloves Novice super heavyweight champion, turning pro this past May in Orlando where he lives again.
“I’ve always been a fan of boxing,” Pinheiro explained, “but I didn’t box until I moved to the United States. I appreciate the art of boxing. I’m an exciting boxer who can mix it up. I fight on the outside or inside, depending on who I’m fighting, and adapting in the ring.

Mayweather displayed his typical patient and clinical boxing style, feeling out Paul in the opening round, before allowing Paul to come forward with a flurry of power shots at the end of the round that were mostly blocked, but excited the crowd nonetheless. As the fight wore on, Mayweather began to find a spot to land numerous power shots on Paul’s head and body.
Despite sustaining punishment in the middle rounds, Paul was able to use his over 30-pound weight advantage to frequently tie Mayweather up and avoid being stopped or sent to the canvas.
“Even without much experience, he knew to use his weight to tie me up tonight,” said Mayweather.

“The game plan was just to outbox him,” said Jack. “Everything else will come. Zeer Zeker, hit the body. He was a little soft in the body but I give him respect. He came out on short notice. He was supposed to fight next week but this is a different level.”
Known as a slow starter throughout his accomplished career, Jack came out faster in this fight and was sharp from the outset against the replacement opponent Colina, who stepped in for Jean Pascal after Pascal failed a pre-fight drug test.
“He was trying to hold a lot and survive,” said Jack. “I fight better when I fight better opponents. I was a little sloppy. The world class fights are when I perform the best.”
Jack’s effectiveness forced Colina to try to hold to stop the incoming attack, but he was only able to use that strategy briefly, as referee Frank Santore Jr. took away points for holding in rounds two and three, warning Colina that one more infraction would end the fight in disqualification.

The pay-per-view telecast also saw veteran contenderLuis Arias(19-2-1, 9 KO)score a split-decision victory over former unified 154-pound champion"Swift" Jarrett Hurd(24-2, 16 KO)in an action-packed 10-round affair.
“I’m not sure what went wrong tonight,” said Hurd. “I believe I won the fight. I had a knockdown. I could make a hundred excuses but it wasn’t a great performance.”
Arias controlled the early rounds of the duel, attacking Hurd with numerous combinations that landed flush. His clean power punching was an advantage throughout, as he out landed Hurd in power punches by a total of 153 naar 120 while landing over 40% of those shots.
“The game plan was to jump on him, get the early lead and keep it,” said Arias. “I felt like in the middle rounds I was winning the fight but you never know because I wasn’t the A-side in this fight. I buzzed him a lot, especially on the inside.”
Hurd began to attempt to mount a comeback in rounds five and six, closing the distance effectively and finding a home for short right hooks and right uppercuts, with Arias even acknowledging that he was made unsteady after the action.
“I came in here and challenged the number one guy at 154 pounds and we fought somewhere halfway and I was able to edge a decision,” said Arias. “Props to Jarrett Hurd. You fought a great fight. Eerlijk, you could have had me out of there. I was definitely buzzed. If you would have found a way, I definitely would have gone down.”
In a fight that had two brief delays to weather affecting the ring surface, Hurd scored a knockdown in round nine with a glancing right hand after Arias appeared to slip on the ring. Despite the advantage on the scorecard, the uneasy footing affected Hurd’s plan to box Arias from the outside.
“The plan coming out in the first round was to box,” said Hurd. “I wasn’t as confident in my feet as the rain came down, so I had to go toe-to-toe more. That wasn’t really what we trained for, so I was a bit sloppy.”
Arias bounced back effectively from the knockdown in the final round, with his onslaught eventually forcing Hurd to look to hold on in the final minutes to reach the final bell. In his first outing with new trainer Ismael Salas, Arias ended the night victorious, with one judge scoring the fight 95-94 for Hurd, overruled by scores of 97-93 en 96-93 for Arias.
“I would like to thank Ismael Salas,” said Arias. “I came to him semi-late. About six or seven weeks and I needed to change something in my game plan to beat Jarrett. Johnson showed off the “sweet feet” that made him a six-time Pro Bowler, landing some strong jabs and check hooks from distance, while avoiding serious damage from Maxwell over the first three rounds.

“I’m just thankful that I’m still fighting on Sunday night. Now we have a new opponent and it’s going to be the same outcome. I’m in great shape and I can’t wait.
“Colina is just another guy. I respect him for coming in and stepping up as a late replacement. But I was going to win this fight on Sunday whether it was Pascal or anyone.
“I’m very frustrated about Jean Pascal. But I’m a pro and I can adjust no matter who is in front of me. I’m disappointed because I won the first fight against Pascal and I waited 18 months to get my revenge.
“I have a little anger that might get taken out on Colina, but it’s nothing personal, just business that I’m here to take care of on Sunday night.
“I don’t really care about the title too much, I really just cared about getting that revenge against Pascal. I waited so long for this and I could have taken different fights while I waited.
“He’s an undefeated guy so he’s going to come in here with a lot of confidence looking to show off his power. We’ll be ready though regardless how he comes into the fight. I had great sparring like always, so I’m prepared for what he’s going to bring.”
DERVIN COLINA

“Everyone knows I have unfinished business at 154-pounds. I’m not looking past Arias though. This fight is just a stop at middleweight because I’m going back down to take care of that business.
“We’ve had an amazing training camp with my new trainer Kay Koroma in Colorado Springs. I have a chip on my shoulder. I think a lot of people forgot who I was. I had the best resume in the weight class. Come Sunday, I’m going to remind everyone who I am.
“It’s always strictly business and it’ll be the same on Sunday. Arias is obsessed with my weight and thinks I’m struggling. But he needs to focus on what he needs to do on Sunday night.
“I don’t know where I’m rated right now, but I’m the best fighter at 154 pond. Showing that to the world is the goal on Sunday.
“We just took it back to the basics in training camp with my coach Kay Koroma. You can always learn more in the sport.
“I’ve been boxing for 15 years now and coach Koroma just helped me evolve the things I already knew. He’s got me not just coming forward and using my strength, but moving around and boxing a little bit.”
LUIS ARIAS
“I think the narrative is they needed an opponent for Jarrett Hurd, and I wasn’t looking so great lately. But people tend to forget I was 18-0 before I got my first blemish. When I was with Floyd Mayweather, Ik was 9-0 and that’s when I was most comfortable. That’s the mentality I’m taking into this fight.
“I’ve been around Floyd since December. I’ve been in Vegas training in the altitude, just like Hurd. I’m in tip-top shape for this fight and he still has to figure out how he’s going to fight.
“Now the boxing world is going to be watching this fight. I’m going to be on my Ps and Qs and he won’t have to look for me. He will have to pick and choose once he gets hit on Sunday what style he wants to fight.
“This is a must-win for me. This is a great name for my resume. I haven’t ducked anyone. I’ve taken every name that’s been brought to me. When his name came up I said absolutely. I’m ready and I’m an old-school fighter. I’d fight you in this backyard, that backyard, any backyard. On Sunday it will show.
“He’s the one who has got the issue with the weight. The fight doesn’t really make much sense at 160 because he’s not ranked and wants to go back down to 154. But it’s too big of an opportunity and too big of a card to complain about the weight. We’re going to put the gloves on and whatever he weighs, he weighs. This is going to be the best fight on the card.”
CHAD JOHNSON
“I feel really good. I’ve been using boxing to prepare for football throughout the years, but I’ve never done it to this magnitude. To prepare for an actual fight, is something new. I’m facing a guy who does this for a living, so I’m not taking this lightly at all.
“I was always nervous before every kickoff. So I’d be a fool to say I’m not nervous going into something where I’m out of my element.
“One thing I’m extremely good at, is when there’s lights, cameras and a crowd, is going in there and entertaining.
“I’ve been working with Jorge Masvidal a little bit, but the last few weeks have been in Houston with Jermall and Jermell Charlo. That’s where most of my work has been. I’ve been doing everything possible to make sure I look the part Sunday night.
“I’m out of my element, so of course I’m approaching this fight humbly. He’s coming to knock my head off. Football is something I did all my life, that’s why I walked the way I did. I can’t be arrogant and take this fight lightly.”

Born in Stockholm, Krik (22-3-3, 13 KO), who represented his father’s home country of Gambia in the 2008 Olympische Spelen, now lives in Las Vegas. Jack won the 168-pound world title with a majority decision against Anthony Dirrell in 2015 and successfully defended the belt three times before being handed a hard-fought majority draw against James DeGale in one of 2017’s best fights. In his first bout at 175 pond, Jack stopped Nathan Cleverly to pick up the WBA light heavyweight title before fighting to a majority draw against then WBC champion Adonis Stevenson in May 2018. After dropping a narrow fight to Pascal in 2019, Jack’s most recent outing saw him earn a unanimous decision over Blake McKernan in November 2020.
The 33-year-old Colina (15-0, 13 KO) lives in Medellin, Colombia, and is a native of Venezuela. He steps in on short notice to make his United States debut against Jack. Colina has competed at both super middleweight and light heavyweight in recent years and is riding a six-fight knockout streak into June 6. Colina has been training with renowned coach Stacy McKinley for the last two months in Pompano Beach, Florida.

In addition to bringing his brand of entertainment to the event, Johnson compared his own boxing style to one of the sport’s most unique fighters.
“I’m transitioning that flair you saw from me on the football field all into this sport," zei Johnson. “To me, my style is like Emanuel Augustus. Once I got those basic fundamentals down to a tee, I could add that trickery to my game.”
A long-time fan and student of the sweet science, Johnson never believed that he’d have this opportunity to box on this stage. Echter, once he received word from Mayweather and knew how long he’d have to prepare, he jumped on the chance presented.
“I never thought about stepping in the ring," zei Johnson. “I never thought there would be an opportunity to do so. But I love boxing. I’m friends with every boxer out there because I love and study all of it. I didn’t expect anything like this to happen. When Floyd called, the first thing I wanted to know, was how much time I had to prepare. Once I knew that I had enough time that I could look like myself in there, I knew I could pull it off.”
Always pushing the boundaries of what the public expects from athletes, Johnson will add another feather into what has been a remarkable career as an athlete and entertainer with this fight on June 6.

"Ik ben erg enthousiast over de herkansing. Ik train sinds december in Puerto Rico. Ik heb de hele tijd gewacht op de herkansing en ik ben er klaar voor. Ik respecteer Badou, maar hij zeurt altijd nadat hij verliest. De jury zei dat ik het gevecht had gewonnen en dat is het dan.
"Het eerste gevecht, in de eerste zes ronden heb ik alles goed gedaan. Ik ben misschien een beetje overmoedig geworden. Daarna deed ik het iets te rustig aan. Het gevecht kwam dichtbij vanwege die knockdown die hij kreeg, die niet van een echte klap was. Zonder dat, het zou niet eens dichtbij zijn geweest. We gaan afrekenen in juni 6 in Miami.
“Ik denk dat ik mezelf een beetje beter moet passen in dit gevecht. Ik werd opgewonden omdat ik eerder met Badou heb sparren en weet wat ik kan doen. "Ik denk echt dat het werk in de sportschool zal helpen, zodat ik geen ringroest heb. Ik ben een veteraan. Ik ben hier geweest en heb dat gedaan. Op deze leeftijd, het is beter om meer rust te hebben dan te lang getraind te zijn. Ik had de juiste intensiteit in het kamp om ervoor te zorgen dat ik niet overgetraind ben.

Ik weet dat Jean Pascal een krijger is, en ik ben een krijger. Ik ben gewoon klaar om te vechten.
“Kijkend naar het verleden, ja, Ik moet sneller beginnen. Elk gevecht, dat kan van toepassing zijn. Ik zal naar mijn hoek luisteren, en we gaan uitzoeken hoe we het gevecht kunnen winnen. Op alle mogelijke manieren die we nodig hebben.
'Hij kan alles zeggen wat hij wil als ik hem neerhaal. Ik raakte hem vijf keer achter elkaar en hij zwaaide en miste en ik sloeg hem. Daarom ging hij naar beneden.
'Dit wordt een vuurgevecht. Dat weten we al. Stem af op dit gevecht. Boksen is geen spel en dat ga ik iedereen laten zien en proberen de show te stelen.
"Ik heb het laatste gevecht een of twee keer gezien, misschien drie keer. Ik heb alleen wat kleine aanpassingen nodig. U kunt altijd beter doen. Ik heb meer zelfvertrouwen dan de vorige keer. Ik weet dat we allebei krijgers zijn. We hebben tegen iedereen gevochten. We zijn even oud (Jack is 37; Pascal 38), ook al zie ik er een beetje beter uit. Ik zie er jonger uit. Niemand heeft mijn geboorteakte gezien. Ik ben niet echt 37. Ik ben 27. "
JARRETT HURD
“Trainingskamp was geweldig. Ik heb in anderhalf jaar niet gevochten, dus ik had de kans om echt mijn tijd te nemen met dit kamp. Ik heb veel tijd gehad om het werk te doen. Ik train met vechters zoals Terence Crawford, Shakur Stevenson, Troy Isley en nog veel meer. We werken hier allemaal dag in dag uit.
“Arias is een geweldige vechter. Dit wordt het soort teen-tot-teen-gevecht dat ik leuk vind. Hij zal daar voor me zijn en klaar om te vechten. Hij is nooit gestopt, dus ik ben bereid om tot het uiterste te gaan.
"We hebben dit verhaal eerder gezien van Arias. Hij praat een groot spel, maar kijk naar zijn gevechten tegen topvechters. Het maakt niet uit op welk gewicht ik sta, Arias weet wat er gaat komen. Ik heb een verlies geleden, maar ik heb de overwinning behaald in mijn laatste gevecht en ik ben op weg terug.
“Ik heb gewoon een dominante overwinning nodig in juni 6. Luis Arias kan het lelijk maken, maar ik moet overtuigend gaan winnen en iedereen laten weten dat ik terug ben. Ik wil niet op een slordige manier winnen, Ik wil er goed uitzien.
"Hij denkt misschien dat hij me op het juiste moment vangt, maar het wordt in juni geen goede tijd voor hem 6. Ik kan boksen en ik kan knallen, het maakt niet uit. We zullen op fight night beslissen welke stijl ik ga gebruiken. Ik weet dat ik hem hoe dan ook kan verslaan.
“Ik heb geprobeerd aan mijn slechte gewoonten te werken na mijn verlies. Ik was een rechttoe rechtaan man die net op je af kwam. Ik wilde in mijn laatste gevecht tegen Francisco Santana laten zien dat ik mijn lengte en bereik kan gebruiken als dat nodig is. Ik wilde alles in dozen doen 10 rondes en dat deed ik.
'Ik heb nog steeds te veel onafgemaakte zaken voor 154 pond. Ik heb veel ruzie, inclusief mijn rematch tegen Julian Williams, die ik nog steeds wil krijgen. Ik wil mijn titels terugkrijgen. LUIS ARIAS

Ik heb altijd al gevechten op kampioenschapsniveau in me gehad, maar ik heb het gewoon niet laten zien. Dit is voor mij een perfecte gelegenheid om het te laten zien.
"Ik kom achter hem aan. Ik heb om te winnen. Hij hoeft me niet te vinden. Ik kom er zo aan. “Floyd called me in January last year and told me the rematch was on for April. That was last year. It’s been done since we walked out of the ring the first time, but I’m happy it’s finally done. I’m happy it’s here and I’m ready to put on a show.
“I’m trying to perfect everything in preparation for this matchup. Better nutrition. Better conditioning. Better sparring. I’m trying to be better at everything.
“This is my second fight with my new trainer Johnathan Banks. The first was just a tune-up fight. It wasn’t a high-level fight. It was an eight-rounder, so it was just like a sparring session. But I’m in way better shape than I was in the last camp and I’m ready to go.
“My fight is going to be a hell of a fight. Everybody knows that. It was a Fight of the Year contender last time. Floyd vs. Logan is going to be entertainment. That’s a different kind of fight, but Floyd is going to put on a show. All of the eyeballs are going to be on that night so it’s going to be a great night.

And then we have former unified champion Jarrett Hurd taking on Mayweather Promotions’ own Luis Arias. I think that will be a tremendous fight. While Paul stands six inches taller than Mayweather and owns an 18-year age advantage, the social media sensation will be challenging the best boxer of his generation, in his arena.
Pascal (35-6-1, 20 KO) earned a narrow split-decision victory over Jack in their December 2019 title showdown that saw both men hit the canvas. Prior to that fight, Pascal captured his interim title by handing Marcus Browne the first defeat of his professional career. Pascal scored four knockdowns in that fight, eventually earning a close technical decision when a cut suffered by Browne on an accidental head butt stopped the fight after eight rounds. The 38-year-old has been in the ring with the top fighters of his era during his brilliant career, including Bernard Hopkins, Sergey Kovalev, Carl Froch, Lucian Bute, and Chad Dawson. Pascal, who was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and now lives in Laval, Quebec, won his first light heavyweight world title with a unanimous decision over Adrian Diaconu in 2009.
Krik (22-3-3, 13 KO) will look to avenge the razor-thin defeat he suffered to Pascal in their first match. Jack mounted an impressive rally on the scorecards that nearly turned the match in his favor. Born in Stockholm, Krik (who represented his father’s home country of Gambia in the 2008 Olympische Spelen) now lives in Las Vegas. Jack won the 168-pound world title with a majority decision against Anthony Dirrell in 2015 and successfully defended the belt three times before being handed a hard-fought majority draw against James DeGale in one of 2017’s best fights. In his first bout at 175 pond, Jack stopped Nathan Cleverly to pick up the WBA light heavyweight title before fighting to a majority draw against then WBC champion Adonis Stevenson in May 2018. On how the fight with Floyd Mayweather came about…
Paul – “I signed [the contract] and then after just months and months going back and forth, figuring out dates – we had three different dates – and how to announce it and just the strategy behind it. It finally came to fruition and this event that supersedes everything I’ve ever done in my life, finally solidified.”
On his boxing skills and last fight against KSI…
Paul – “I think we surprise a lot of people. It’s what I’ve done my whole life. I’ve just exceeded expectations and I don’t think there’s anything online that’s representative of how good I am or the level at which I’m operating at this point in my life when it comes to boxing. I think my last fight wasn’t indicative in the slightest. I remember after it happened, bro, the bell rang at the sixth round and I had half a tank left…Something just didn’t click that day…A year later, after an ‘L’, you secure a fight with the biggest fighter on the planet. It never really felt like a loss.”
On the rules of the Mayweather bout…
Paul – “I don’t think there’s a weight as of now. If they make me drop weight I’ll be pissed. I’ll make a thing about it. I’ll f***ing complain about it and sh*t. That’s the thing, rechts? The greatest boxer of all time faces the young behemoth. I’m going in there and I’m towering over this dude and that’s what makes it exciting. It’s David vs. Goliath.”
On a potential fight with his brother, Jake…
Paul – “My dad does not want us to do that. If you want my opinion, I think it’s inevitable. I think Jake and I in two to four years’ time are going to be beating the sh*t out of each other in a ring and I think it’ll be one of the most historical sporting events to take place ever.”
