Kyrgyzstan dominates competition Wins WMMAA team title at 2017 Asian Championships

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Mai 29, 2017)- Host team Kyrgyzstan captured top team honors at the recent third annual World Mixed Martial Arts Association (WMMAA) Asian Championships, recently held at Suyumbaev Stadium, Osh, Kyrgyzstan.

The wonderful host city of Osh is the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan, located in the Fergana Valley in the south of the country, often referred to as the “capital of the south”. It is the oldest city in the country, estimated to be more than 3000 mlwydd oed, and it has served as the administrative center of Osh Region ers 1939. The city has an ethnically mixed population of approximately 255,800, according to 2012 reports, comprised of Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, Russians, Tajiks, and other smaller ethnic groups.

Ulukbek Omurzakov, the president of Kyrgyzstan MMA Federation, deserved kudos for insuring that the 2017 WMMAA Asian Championships would be held at the highest level in all respects.

In addition to Omurzakov, numerous highly-ranked guests were also present at the arena during competitions, including the Kyrgyzstan Republic President’s advisor, Ikramzhan Ilmiyanov, Vice Prime-Minister Zhenish Razzakov, Osh city Mayor Aitmamat Kadyrbaev, Minister of Interior Suyunbek Omurzakov, MP’s Aaly Karashev, Iskender Matraimov, WMMAA president Vadim Finkelchtein and many others.

WMMA Asian team champion Kyrgyzstan had seven individual male winners out of eight weight classes: Pwysau Bantam Ryskulbek Ibraimov, pwysau plu Nursultan Rakhmanberdi Uulu, ysgafn Kubanychbek Turatbek Uulu, pwysau welterTologon Rakhmatov, Canol Olzhobai Kudaiberdi Uulu, pwysau trwm ysgafnOsman Abdulazizov a pwysau trwm Maksat Musabaev. The only non-Kyrgyzstan individual winner in the men’s competition was flyweight Zheng Xiao Liang, of China.

China and defending team champion Kazakhstan, yn y drefn honno, finished second and third in the final team standings. Other teams represented at the WMMAA Asian Championships included Uzbekistan, De Korea, Afghanistan and Tajikistan

Y 2017 WMMAA Asian Championships were held in 10 weight divisions, eight for male fighters, as well as two brand new divisions for female fighters, in which China won both weight classes.

Individual team competition was held in accordance with the “Official Rules of Mixed Martial Arts Competition, subject to WMMAA approval. Including revisions, additions and clarifications of certain clauses. Matches were held in accordance with the Olympic system including two third-places in each of the 10 weight divisions.

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Mai 3, 2017)- The World MMA Association (WMMAA) has announced that its 2017 Pan-American Championships, the largest MMA event ever in The Americas, will be held this coming Gorffennaf 14-15 in Monterrey, Mecsico.

National teams from the United States, Canada, Mecsico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Uruguay, Brasil, along with special guest Spain, are expected to compete in the 2017 Pan-American Championships.

“Representing your country on the biggest continental competition of nations, it strikes you, your heart starts to race in anticipation of the grand journey into WMMAA history,” Pan-American Division president Tomas Yu Dywedodd.

The PAN-AM Board of Directors met again this past month during a collaboration with USA Boxing, during the latter’s 2017 Western Elite Qualifier & Regional Open, when the tentative announcement was made that Monterrey (Mecsico) would be the event host this July.

Albuquerque, New Mexico was a leading destination host, Fodd bynnag,, PAN-AM Board members voted in favor of Monterrey as the ultimate location.

“WMMAA Mexico, as well as Monterrey as the host city this year, is a huge step in the development of the championships and movement as a whole,” Ychwanegodd Yu. “Monterrey has been an active sport city. It was the first city to bid on the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics. Monterrey had never bid on an Olympic Game prior to its effort to bid for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. The city did host several matches of the 1986 FIFA World Cup.

“The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here as the 2017 Pan-American Championships will take place in Monterrey, Mexico this coming Gorffennaf 14-15. The final decision has been made and now it is time to exhale, relax, and peacefully wait for the upcoming grand event, gathering people from all around the world to watch their country’s athletes competing among the best.”

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Ebrill 25, 2017) – For Team USA to effectively prepare to compete in the 2017 WMMAA Pan-American Championships and World MMA Championships for the first time, WMMAA USA has announced its partnership with promoter RMN (Rocky Mountain Nationals Events) to host the USA National Open Tournament, Mehefin 17-18, in Denver, Colorado.

Earning a position on USA Team is an extremely demanding process. Many athletes dedicate their entire lives to the task, putting their minds and bodies through an extraordinary amount of training for an opportunity to compete and represent their country. The best moments in WMMAA Championships history, regardless of the team, are built on intense preparation and training schedules. Many athletes dedicate flynyddoedd of their lives for that one moment like no other, the moment of glory, the moment they raise their hand in triumph, representing their country.

RMN Events hosted its first MMA event six-years ago, partnering with Matt Lindland, Steve Fraser ac Randy Couture. “That will always be a special event to remember,” Dywedodd Ed Gutierrez, CEO of RMN Events. “This time around it will be very meaningful for each of the fighters that win their weight class to represent the United States at the Pan-American Championships, being held in Monterrey, Mecsico, ar Medi 20, 2017.”

Results from the Inaugural French MMA Championships

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Ebrill 20, 2017) — The inaugural French MMA Championships, sanctioned by the World MMA Association (WMMAA), was recently held in Geneva, Y Swistir.

The National Commission Kenpô & AMM successfully organized this event despite several obstacles. French athletes had the opportunity for the first time to compete under the rules of amateur MMA during a French Championship, organized exclusively for them by the “French Federation”, under the aegis of the WMMAA, whose honorary vice-president is none other than “Yr Ymerawdwr Last,” Fedor Emelianenko.

No injuries were reported during the competition and good sportsmanship was exhibited by all. There were many exciting fights between competitors representing clubs from all across France, including some well-known by the public in martial arts and combat sports. A large, passionate crowd encouraged the fighters from start to finish.

It was announced that the 2nd annual MMA French Championships will be held next year in Geneva on April 7 & 8.

WMMAA Pan-American Division Welcomes new member Ecuador

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Mawrth 14, 2017) – The Pan-American Division of the World MMA Championships (WMMAA) has formally announced the recent addition of Ecuador as its newest member.

“We continue to grow with every new country take forward the MMA movement as well as recognition of MMA as a sport,” Dywedodd Tomas Yu, President of the WMMA Pan-American Division. “I have long been an advocate of MMA as a sport. Watching this great group of pioneers put up a great fight that takes is back to the basics and to what Martial Arts truly represents: loyalty, honor, and family.”

Yu appointed Gorky E. Rodriguez as President of WMMAA Ecuador. Hector Molina, Director of the Regulatory Committee for the WMMAA Pan-American Division, will work closely with Rodriguez during the formation of the WMMAA Ecuador Regulatory Committee.

“MMA is in a critical time,” Rodriguez commented. “It’s explosive growth this past decade has made MMA the fastest growing sport in the world, demanding that an organization like ours exist and to add unbiased structure, not only for athletes, but as a regulatory body as well.

“Much continues to happen since WMMAA Ecuador was formed. We will all celebrate our first participation, as a national team, this year in the Pan-American Championships. I look forward to using my experience and the volumes of knowledge the WMMAA Pan-American Division brings to Ecuador. I will share the vision with all my efforts as we will defend, promote and endorse MMA as a sport and give all participants and fans a significant difference in the sport.”

The WMMAA sanctioned countries in five divisions – Pan-Am, Affrica, Asia, Europe and Oceania – include Afghanistan, Yr Ariannin, Armenia, Aruba, Awstralia, Azerbaijan, Belarws, Gwlad Belg, Brasil, Canada, Llestri, Chinese Taipei, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Gweriniaeth Tsiec, Ffrainc, Georgia, Yr Almaen, Gwlad Groeg, Guatemala, Hwngari, India, Iran, Yr Eidal, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latfia, Mecsico, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Moroco, Iseldiroedd, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Portiwgal, Romania, Rwsia, Serbia, Singapore, Slofacia, De Korea, Sbaen, Tajikistan, Wcráin, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.

The highlight of the 2016 WMMAA season was the World MMA Championships, in which powerhouse, Team Russia completely dominated, as it also did in the European Championships, sweeping all seven weight classes in Studio City, Macau, Llestri.

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Rhagfyr 1, 2016)- Team Russia parlayed its recent European Championship domination into a repeat performance at this past weekend’s World MMA Championship, by sweeping all seven weight classes in Studio City, Macau, Llestri.

Close to 100 fighters competed, gan gynrychioli 23 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Sbaen, Awstralia, Belgian, Llestri, Colombia, Ffrainc, Gweriniaeth Tsiec, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Yr Almaen, Hwngari, Macao, Nepal, India, De Korea, Wcráin, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei and Italy.

Russian middleweight Gamzat Hiramagomedov and light heavyweight Magomed Ankalayev are repeat world champions.

In team scoring, Asian team champion Kazakhstan won two Silver and four Bronze medals, Ukraine two Silver and two Bronze, Czech Republic one Silver and two Bronze, Chinas one Silver and two Bronze, Kyrgyzstan two Bronze, and one Bronze for France, India, Spain and Moldova.

“I would like to thank each athlete of our National MMA Team, our coaches, doctors and all the Russian MMA Union employees,” said MMA living legend Fedor Emelianenko, WMMAA honorary president and president of the Russian MMA Union. “The fighters had a long way, put in a lot of effort, and made it to the top. Despite an ever-growing competition level, our athletes achieved 100-percent of the set goals thanks to a great training camp, fight strategy and their spirit.

“We are proud to have two-time world champions in Magomed Ankalayev and Gamzat Hiramagomedov. It’s a pleasure to follow the fighters’ personal evolution from fight to fight. The world champions will receive their accolades of Sports Master of International Level.”

MONTE CARLO, Monaco (Tachwedd 22, 2016)- The best amateur mixed-martial-arts fighters in the world will compete Tachwedd. 26-27 at the World MMA Championships in Studio City, Macau, Llestri.

Close to 100 fighters have registered to compete. Y 2016 Ewropeaidd (Rwsia) and Asian (Kazakhstan) team champions head a list that includes Spain, Awstralia, Belgian, Llestri, Colombia, Ffrainc, Gweriniaeth Tsiec, Hong Kong, Tajikistan, Yr Almaen, Hwngari, Macao, Nepal, India, De Korea, Wcráin, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Taiwan and Uzbekistan.

We’re looking forward to the World MMA Championship in Macau on Tachwedd 26-27,” WMMAA president Vadim Finkelchtein Dywedodd. “We expect spectacular, competitive fights.”

The WMMAA Congress will also be held to discuss MMA issues relative to children and women, as well as countries being decided to host the 2017 Ewropeaidd, Asian and World MMA Championships. A judicial committee will also be created and seminars held for coaches, judges and medical specialists in each country.”
