Fort Washington, MD (Máj 14, 2025)-Tyler Langer won a six-round unanimous decision to win the NBA Cruiserweight Title over Raphael Carolina in bout that headlined an eight-bout card at Rosecroft Raceway.

The exciting night of boxing was promoted by Jeter Promotions.

Langer of Annapolis, Maryland won by scores of 60-54, 59-55 a 58-56 to remain undefeated with a record of 5-0. Carolina of Wendell, North Carolina is 3-8-2.

“Tyler looked very good and I am very pleased with how he performed tonight,” said Tony Jeter of Jeter Promotions. “We hope to get him three more fights by the end of the year, and then he will be ready to take on the contenders of the cruiserweight division.”

Nasheed H. Smith stopped Jeremy Cullors in the fourth and final scheduled round of their light heavyweight bout that featured undefeated fighters.

The crowd of 2,000, which sold-out one week in advance, was electrified by the main event, in which there was no “feeling out” as Ibeh and May traded bombs from the opening bell. Hernandez landed clean shots on Barajas, who was coming off a 4-year layoff. Barajas closed the fight strongly, but it wasn’t enough as the judges scored the fight a majority draw.

Illinois junior welterweight Quinn McKenna (1-0-1, 0 KO) won his first fight as a pro, taking a four-round unanimous decision from Clayton Hibbert (2-3, 2 KO). Both fighters were hurt in round three as they opened up offensively, leaving both seemingly out on their feet. McKenna, však, was the fresher fighter in the fourth and final round. LOS ANGELES (August 22, 2023) – The boxing spotlight shifts back to the Great Northwest this Saturday night as rising super featherweight star Austin Brooks (10-0, 3 KO) takes on dangerous Anthony Chavez (11-3-1, 3 KO) in the 10-round main event on a highly competitive pro card, presented by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

“This card sticks with our theme of compelling regional fights along with club wars,” Haydon said. “More than a couple guys have a chance to get a verdict from the great jury that is the northwest boxing fan and see if they can create a fan base for themselves going forward.”

Brooks, 27, is stepping up in class against Chavez, a 2015 USA National Championships bronze medalist as an amateur, has yet to fight more than six rounds to date. Fighting out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Brooks, who has already fought several times on the ESPN platform, is coming off a six-round decision over veteran Diuhl Olguin this past March in San Diego.

Chavez, an old-fashioned fighter out of San Bernardino, Kalifornia, is trained by well-known Southern Californian Henry Ramirez, who guided Chris Arreola and Josesito Lopez, Medzi viac notables. Two fights ago, Chavez won a six-round majority decision over Olguin.

The six-round, co-featured event pits Seattle featherweight Gregory Cruz (5-2, 3 KO) against Roberto Negrete (4-1-1, 2 KO), of West Liberty, Iowa. Cruz is bouncing back from a six-round majority loss to Luis Gallegos (4-0) last April, while Negrete fought to a six-round split draw in his most recent action this past June.

Chief undercard support will be provided by undefeated Portland super lightweight prospect Lorenza Caldera (6-0, 3 KO) and Filipino veteran boxer Jake “D’ Twins” Bornea (14-5-1, 7 KO), the former WBO Asia Pacific Youth Flyweight titleholder.

Angel Rebollar (6-3, 3 KO) is coming straight out of Compton (AKO) to face San Bernardino (AKO) super lightweight Esteban Munoz (7-3, 4 KO) in a rare five-round bout. Rebollar was a 2019 USA Western Regional Junior Open Champion as an amateur.

Also fighting on the undercard, each in four-round matches, is Auburn, Washington lightweight Joshua Cadena (1-0, 1 KO), proti. Dan Hernandez (2-2, 1 KO), Riverside, Kalifornia; undefeated Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Axl Melendez Salgado (6-0, 4 KO) proti. Tulsa’s Lyle McFarlane (2-1 1 KO), and San Antonio (TX) super lightweight Richard Ray Howell (4-3-2, 2 KO) proti. Detroit’s Wesley Rivers (1-3).

Magruder (5-0, 4 KO) is looking to get back in the mix for the 1st time since his opening round stoppage over Ronnie Watson on September 30th, 2016.
Magruder has been back in camp, and working hard for the bout.
“I have had a good camp. I always love training at home for fights,” povedal 26 year-old Magruder,
Magruder of Washington, D.C.. had an amateur career that saw him have about 100 boja, and for two years was considered the number-one fighter in the country in his weight class.
Magruder’s father, Sean, is one of the co-promoters of the event, and the younger Magruder has been helping out while staying completely focused on his opponent.
“Most of my fights have been at home, and I love it. Its been a good learning experience helping out with the business end of things.”
Magruder, who considers himself as a boxer-puncher, doesn’t go into fights looking for early stoppages.
“I don’t go in there looking for knockouts, I just let the fight come to me, but it is great when it happens.”
Even though doesn’t possess an outstanding record, he is battle tested who has faced a staggering 23 undefeated foes, and he has proved to be a sturdy opponent.
“You can’t overlook anybody who goes in the ring. He is durable, and I know that he will try to win. Ako už bolo povedané, I do not know too much about him.”
After the long layoff, Magruder sees an opportunity to start making some noise in the junior welterweight division.
“I am looking to be more active. I think in 2019, I will make up for lost time, and look to get five or six fights in. I have been training really hard, and I will put on a great show.”
