TACOMA, Wanke. (Oktoba 20, 2024) – Nigerian heavyweight Kingsley Black Lion” Ibeh (14-2-1, 12 Kos) turned in the best performance of his pro career in the main event of last night’s “EQC Fight Night,” card presented by Toro Promotions, Inc., and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, in the EQC Event Center at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

In a Clash of the Titans, the 6’ 4”, 273-pound Ibeh only needed 49 seconds to stop 6’ 8”, 257-pound Jack “The Outlaw” May (10-1, 9 Kos) kama da wõfintattu Duniya dambe Majalisar (WBC) Latino Silver Championship.

Hernandez landed clean shots on Barajas, who was coming off a 4-year layoff. Barajas closed the fight strongly, but it wasn’t enough as the judges scored the fight a majority draw.

Illinois junior welterweight Quinn McKenna (1-0-1, 0 Kos) won his first fight as a pro, taking a four-round unanimous decision from Clayton Hibbert (2-3, 2 Kos). Both fighters were hurt in round three as they opened up offensively, leaving both seemingly out on their feet. McKenna, duk da haka, was the fresher fighter in the fourth and final round. Los Angeles (Agusta 22, 2023) – The boxing spotlight shifts back to the Great Northwest this Saturday night as rising super featherweight star Austin Brooks (10-0, 3 Kos) takes on dangerous Anthony Chavez (11-3-1, 3 Kos) in the 10-round main event on a highly competitive pro card, presented by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

“This card sticks with our theme of compelling regional fights along with club wars,” Haydon said. “More than a couple guys have a chance to get a verdict from the great jury that is the northwest boxing fan and see if they can create a fan base for themselves going forward.”

Brooks, 27, is stepping up in class against Chavez, mai 2015 USA National Championships bronze medalist as an amateur, has yet to fight more than six rounds to date. Fighting out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Brooks, who has already fought several times on the ESPN platform, is coming off a six-round decision over veteran Diuhl Olguin this past March in San Diego.

Also fighting on the undercard, each in four-round matches, is Auburn, Washington lightweight Joshua Cadena (1-0, 1 KO), vs. Dan Hernandez (2-2, 1 KO), na Riverside, California; undefeated Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Axl Melendez Salgado (6-0, 4 Kos) vs. Tulsa’s Lyle McFarlane (2-1 1 KO), and San Antonio (TX) super lightweight Richard Ray Howell (4-3-2, 2 Kos) vs. Detroit’s Wesley Rivers (1-3).

“I have had a good camp. I always love training at home for fights,” ya ce, 26 year-old Magruder,

Magruder’s father, Sean, is one of the co-promoters of the event, and the younger Magruder has been helping out while staying completely focused on his opponent.
“Most of my fights have been at home, and I love it. Its been a good learning experience helping out with the business end of things.”
Magruder, who considers himself as a boxer-puncher, doesn’t go into fights looking for early stoppages.
“I don’t go in there looking for knockouts, I just let the fight come to me, but it is great when it happens.”
Even though doesn’t possess an outstanding record, he is battle tested who has faced a staggering 23 undefeated foes, and he has proved to be a sturdy opponent.
“You can’t overlook anybody who goes in the ring. He is durable, and I know that he will try to win. Cewa ana ce, I do not know too much about him.”
After the long layoff, Magruder sees an opportunity to start making some noise in the junior welterweight division.
“I am looking to be more active. I think in 2019, I will make up for lost time, and look to get five or six fights in. That should take me to 12-0, and I should start to get noticed on those prospect lists. I just want people to come out on Saturday. It is a great card with a lot of good fighters. I have been training really hard, and I will put on a great show.”
