The exciting night of boxing was promoted by Jeter Promotions.

Langer of Annapolis, Maryland won by scores of 60-54, 59-55 Kaj 58-56 to remain undefeated with a record of 5-0. Carolina of Wendell, North Carolina is 3-8-2.

“Tyler looked very good and I am very pleased with how he performed tonight,” said Tony Jeter of Jeter Promotions. “We hope to get him three more fights by the end of the year, and then he will be ready to take on the contenders of the cruiserweight division.”

Nasheed H. Smith stopped Jeremy Cullors in the fourth and final scheduled round of their light heavyweight bout that featured undefeated fighters.

TACOMA, Lavo. (Oktobro 20, 2024) – Nigerian heavyweight Kingsley Black Lion” Ibeh (14-2-1, 12 KOs) turned in the best performance of his pro career in the main event of last night’s “EQC Fight Night,” card presented by Toro Promotions, Inc., and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, in the EQC Event Center at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, #Va?ingtono.

In a Clash of the Titans, the 6’ 4”, 273-pound Ibeh only needed 49 seconds to stop 6’ 8”, 257-pound Jack “The Outlaw” May (10-1, 9 KOs) to capture the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino Silver Championship.

The crowd of 2,000, which sold-out one week in advance, was electrified by the main event, in which there was no “feeling out” as Ibeh and May traded bombs from the opening bell. Suddenly, Tamen, Ibeh landed a powerful left cross on May, who was up against the ropes, and “The Outlaw” went down hard, severely knocked at the 59-seconds mark of the opening round.

Ibeh, fighting out of Phoenix, weighed 7-pounds less than for his last fight, 16 fewer than he weighed four fights ago as the former professional football player in Canada won his ninth fight in a row.

“The Black Lion” is the cousin of the retired former heavyweight Ike Ibeabuchi.

Hernandez landed clean shots on Barajas, who was coming off a 4-year layoff. Barajas closed the fight strongly, but it wasn’t enough as the judges scored the fight a majority draw.

Illinois junior welterweight Quinn McKenna (1-0-1, 0 KOs) won his first fight as a pro, taking a four-round unanimous decision from Clayton Hibbert (2-3, 2 KOs). Both fighters were hurt in round three as they opened up offensively, leaving both seemingly out on their feet. McKenna, Tamen, was the fresher fighter in the fourth and final round. He had Hibbert on the run to earn his initial victory.

Russian lightweight Samvel Gandilyan (5-0-1, 3 KOs) kept his unbeaten pro record intact with a fourth-round knockout of a game Ezera Rabin.

LOS ANGELES (#A?gusto 22, 2023) – The boxing spotlight shifts back to the Great Northwest this Saturday night as rising super featherweight star Austin Brooks (10-0, 3 KOs) takes on dangerous Anthony Chavez (11-3-1, 3 KOs) in the 10-round main event on a highly competitive pro card, presented by Toro Promotions, Inc. and Whitfield Haydon Boxing, at the famed Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, #Va?ingtono.

“This card sticks with our theme of compelling regional fights along with club wars,” Haydon said. “More than a couple guys have a chance to get a verdict from the great jury that is the northwest boxing fan and see if they can create a fan base for themselves going forward.”

Brooks, 27, is stepping up in class against Chavez, oni 2015 USA National Championships bronze medalist as an amateur, has yet to fight more than six rounds to date. Fighting out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Brooks, who has already fought several times on the ESPN platform, is coming off a six-round decision over veteran Diuhl Olguin this past March in San Diego.

Chavez, an old-fashioned fighter out of San Bernardino, Kalifornio, is trained by well-known Southern Californian Henry Ramirez, who guided Chris Arreola and Josesito Lopez, among the more notables. Two fights ago, Chavez won a six-round majority decision over Olguin.

The six-round, co-featured event pits Seattle featherweight Gregory Cruz (5-2, 3 KOs) against Roberto Negrete (4-1-1, 2 KOs), of West Liberty, Iovao. Cruz is bouncing back from a six-round majority loss to Luis Gallegos (4-0) last April, while Negrete fought to a six-round split draw in his most recent action this past June.

Chief undercard support will be provided by undefeated Portland super lightweight prospect Lorenza Caldera (6-0, 3 KOs) and Filipino veteran boxer Jake “D’ Twins” Bornea (14-5-1, 7 KOs), the former WBO Asia Pacific Youth Flyweight titleholder.

Angel Rebollar (6-3, 3 KOs) is coming straight out of Compton (CA) to face San Bernardino (CA) super lightweight Esteban Munoz (7-3, 4 KOs) in a rare five-round bout. Rebollar was a 2019 USA Western Regional Junior Open Champion as an amateur.

Also fighting on the undercard, each in four-round matches, is Auburn, Washington lightweight Joshua Cadena (1-0, 1 KO), #Kontra?. Dan Hernandez (2-2, 1 KO), of Riverside, Kalifornio; undefeated Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Axl Melendez Salgado (6-0, 4 KOs) #Kontra?. Magruder (5-0, 4 KOs) is looking to get back in the mix for the 1st time since his opening round stoppage over Ronnie Watson on September 30th, 2016.
Magruder has been back in camp, and working hard for the bout.
“I have had a good camp. I always love training at home for fights,” Diris la 26 year-old Magruder,
Magruder of Washington, D.C. had an amateur career that saw him have about 100 Bataloj, and for two years was considered the number-one fighter in the country in his weight class.
Magruder’s father, Sean, is one of the co-promoters of the event, and the younger Magruder has been helping out while staying completely focused on his opponent.
“Most of my fights have been at home, and I love it. Its been a good learning experience helping out with the business end of things.”
Magruder, who considers himself as a boxer-puncher, doesn’t go into fights looking for early stoppages.
“I don’t go in there looking for knockouts, I just let the fight come to me, but it is great when it happens.”
Even though doesn’t possess an outstanding record, he is battle tested who has faced a staggering 23 undefeated foes, and he has proved to be a sturdy opponent.
“You can’t overlook anybody who goes in the ring. He is durable, and I know that he will try to win. That being said, I do not know too much about him.”
After the long layoff, Magruder sees an opportunity to start making some noise in the junior welterweight division.
“I am looking to be more active. I think in 2019, I will make up for lost time, and look to get five or six fights in. That should take me to 12-0, and I should start to get noticed on those prospect lists. I just want people to come out on Saturday. It is a great card with a lot of good fighters. I have been training really hard, and I will put on a great show.”

Gerald Washington (Nun 16-0-1, 11 KOs) controlled the early action with his length and superior boxing ability but the smaller southpaw Amir Mansour’s (Nun 22-1-1, 16 KOs) relentless pressure began to break down Washington as he closed the gap by landing overhand lefts. With the fight up for grabs the two heavyweights traded hard shots in the 10th and final round that led the judges to rule the fight a 10-round split draw scoring the bout 97-93 #Va?ingtono, 96-94 Mansour and 95-95.
“I think it’s a terrible decision,” said Washington. “I definitely won the fight. No doubt about it. I won the first four rounds for sure. I rested up a little bit in the middle. The last three or four, he wasn’t even touching me. He was chasing me around. He wasn’t landing any shots at all.
“My corner was telling me to just jab and throw straight punches. I was landing all the good shots. He didn’t land any good shots. Why would I do a rematch if they’re going to do me like that? Rigardi lian #viza?o, look at his ear. Look at my face, I didn’t take any punishment. I boxed him smart. He was being aggressive, but I was landing all the shots.”
“Washington landed some good shots in there, but I landed most of the shots. I kept the fight active,” said Monsour. “I gave the crowd something that they wanted to see. I gave the crowd excitement. That’s why they’re cheering me and they’re booing him. I’m a boxing fan’s boxer.

“Washington was a bit awkward, I was just trying to gauge the height difference and after three rounds tops of gauging the distance between him and I, I felt like I started pressing him, forcing the action, landing the most shots, and tearing his body up. He couldn’t take the body punches, he was running out of gas. He didn’t give the crowd a fight. He didn’t give himself a fight and that’s just a poor way of winning the fight or even getting a draw.”

The eight-round co-main event saw Cairo, Egypt’s Ahmed Elbiali (Nun 11-0, 11 KOs) control the fight from start to finish as he faced Mariano Hilario(Nun 13-4, 5 KOs) en malpeza superpezula showdown. “I’ve been with Carlos since my last fight as an amateur. We have a great relationship and I respect him as a coach. He’s got a lot of knowledge. Together we make a great team and he knows how to get the best out of me. He’s always told me that I have the punching power to become a world champion. I’m grateful to have him in my corner.”
On his progression as a professional fighter…
“With each fight I’m learning something new. I know as my career moves along there will be times when I will have to go into deep waters, so I’m continuously working on my boxing skills. Right now I’ve been fortunate to get some early knockouts, but I train to fight twelve rounds. I’m evolving as a fighter and pretty soon I’ll be better-rounded with my boxing abilities.”
On working at the training facility “Fast Twitch” in Miami…
“Fast Twitch” is a state of the art facility with great strength and conditioning coaches. I’ve gained a lot of endurance training there and my stamina is always peaking on fight night. With the training I’m getting at “Fast Twitch”, I’m always on weight. I love the fact that I’m getting top notch nutrition there as well. It’s a great place to train if you’re a professional athlete.”
