Salita Signs Super Bantamweight Powerhouse Jesse Angel Hernandez to a Promotional Contract

Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of super bantamweight prospect Jesse Angel Hernandez to an exclusive promotional contract.
A 26-year-old southpaw from Fort Worth, Texas, Hernandez (9-1, 7 Kos) first came to Salita’s attention last Avqust 4, at a Salita Promotions event at the MGM Grand Detroit, and live on ShoBox: New Generation, where he sored an impressive TKO 5 over Russia’s formerly undefeated Vladimir Tikhonov (16-0). Tikhonov, a Salita fighter, was overwhelmed by the strength, heavy hands and fearsome body attack of Hernandez.
It was a display of offensive firepower that promoters look for in a prospect.
Hernandez compiled a 68-6 record as an amateur before turning pro in 2009. Hampered by inactivity for five years, due to managerial issues and a shortage of local gyms, he has rededicated his career since returning in 2014.
Hernandez comes from a boxing family and is one of 16 Qardaş və bacılar. VLADIMIR TIKHONOV MAKING PROGRESS UP THE RATINGS LADDER; RUSSIAN IS LUCKY NO. 13 IN WBA

Tikhonov (14-0 ilə 8 Kos) has entered the WBA world rankings at No. 13.

“Vladimir is a talented boxer who has lots of experience and potential to compete with the best in the world,” said the Brooklyn based promoter, who is putting together an Aug. 19 show in Rochester, NY to be headlined by Jarrell Miller. “Tikhonov is world ranked now and I will be looking to land a significant fight for him in the near future. He wants the toughest tests, like Guillermo Rigondeaux (the WBA super bantam champion; Moises Flores holds their interim title), Scott Quigg and Nonito Donaire. He is yet another Russian warrior, with fighting in his blood!”

Promoter Salita has climbed the mountain himself as a fighter, amassing bir 35-2-1 mark as a professional within the welterweight class. He has kicked off successful fight series in NYC, and now Detroit, and word is spreading that his efforts as an effective promoter are informed by his having experienced what it’s like to campaign in the ring. Salita is planning the aforementioned NY show, as well as a return to Detroit, for the third “Detroit Brawl.”

Promoter Says Tikhonov Ready for the World After Impressive Victory in Russia

Undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov is now setting his sights on the top of his division after having notched his first victory under the Salita Promotions banner, a KO 8 over capable veteran Nikoloz Kokashvili on March 12 in Narva, Estoniya,
25-year-old Tikhonov (indi 14-0, 8 Kos) is the #1-ranked super bantamweight in Russia and, with his promotional problems a thing of the past, is ready for anyone in the world.
His promoter, Dmitri Word Word Promosiyalar, says his fighter looked sensational against Kokashvili.
“Vladimir won every round before knocking him out,” deyən Word. “He had been through some inactivity during his career, but after dominating an opponent who was 16-2 going in the way he did, I’m confident he is ready for anyone in the world.
The southpaw Tikhonov is already designated a Sport Master of Russia in his home country, a prestigious honor bestowed upon the country’s top athletes.
“He’s ready for any of the champions or other top contenders at 122 lbs.,” continued Salita. “This is going to be a very big year for Vladimir. A big fight is just a signed contract away and we are working hard to make it happen.”
The current super bantamweight world champions are (WBC) Hugo Ruiz, (WBA) Guillermo Rigondeaux and Carl Frampton, (IBF) Carl Frampton and (WBO) Nonito Donaire.

Salita Promotions Signs Russian Super Bantamweight Vladimir Tikhonov

Promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of undefeated super bantamweight prospect Vladimir Tikhonov to a promotional contract.
Ildən pro 2008, the 25-year-old southpaw, Sankt-Peterburqdan, Rusiya, sports an undefeated record of 13-0, 7 Kos. As an amateur boxer who finished with a record of 85-15, Tikhonov was a gold medallist at the 2008 All-Russia Class A Tournament 2008 in Togliatti and a silver medallist in 2007 and was recognized as the best boxer of the tournament. He has also been given the designation as a Sport Master of Russia.
Tikhonov has had only 13 döyüşlərdə in eight years and ventured out of his native country only once as a professional. Promoter Salita says that’s about to change.
“Vladimir is an extremely talented fighter with excellent potential to become a world champion,” deyən Word. “We are going to get him active and bring him to the United States where he can become known as a top contender in his division. I am very happy to have formed this agreement with one of Russia’s best up-and-coming fighters.”

Salita says Tikhonov’s first fight under his promotional banner will be announced shortly, but the focus will be on securing him a shot against one of the division’s best including WBA Champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Scott Quigg, as well as IBF Champion Carl Frampton and WBO boss Nonito Donaire.
