The RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS event is part of the 40th Nayarit National Festival, which is celebrated between March 10 và 27. The festival displays the cultural identity of Nayarit, like the Indigenous community, also providing entertainment by offering regional artists at national and international events. It attracts between 20,000 và 30,000 people each day of the festival.

The four 19-year-old Mexican fighters have a combined pro record of 24-0 (15 Kos): lightweights Jorge “Jorgito” Lugo Cota (7-0, 5 Kos) and Marco Cota Moreno (5-0, 4 Kos), as well as twin Tepic brothers, featherweight Hector “Tigre” Perez Cruz (6-0, 5 Kos) and super featherweight Paolo “Leon” Perez Cruz (6-0, 5 Kos).

The Mexican quartet had an incredible 470-24 kỷ lục amateur: Lugo (155-15), Moreno (146-4), Paul (86-2) and Hector (83-3) Hội Chữ thập.

The WCBS “4-Man Tournament” semifinals matchups are Luis “Koreano” Torres (14-0, 9 Kos) vs. Rodolfo “Rudy” Flores (14-5, 6 Kos), Isai “Gaga” Hernandez (11-2-2, 7 Kos) vs. Irving “Poderoso” Castillo (11-2, 7 Kos).


Semifinal’s action will be contested in 8-round bouts, 10 rounds for the championship final. The WCBS will also feature one “overtime” round, Nếu cần thiết, to declare a winner in the event of a draw upon the conclusion of the scheduled distance.


WCBS will also be offering a “Fight of the Night” and “Knockout” bonuses to each contestant through the duration of its “4-Man Lightweight Tournament.”

“I like to box on the outside, keep my distance, and control the pace. I think this fight is going to be a war! I am very excited for this match-up and I hope Torres is ready for a fight. I will win this fight by decision.”

Also scheduled to be streamed on RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS are a pair of additional lightweight bouts.


Venezuelan knockout artist Fradimil Macayo (15-1, 13 Kos) faces unbeaten Mexican fighter Armando Ramirez (5-0-1,2 Kos) in an 8-round bout.


Undefeated 19-year-old prospect Jorge “Jorgito” Cota (6-0, 4 Kos), the youngest in the famed Mexican fightin’ Montiel family, led by his grandfather Fernando Montiel, meets Guatemalan challenger Rene “Kampana” de Leon Mazariegos (7-3, 4 Kos), in a scheduled 6-rounder.

The heavy-handed Dominguez, who is a former NABF Welterweight Champion and past No. 15-rated in the world, stopped former WBA World title challenger Jesus “Chino” Antonio Rubio (13-4, 7 Kos) for the vacant WBC Latino strap in the October 15th main event in Mexico. It was Dominguez’ only fight in nearly a year because he needed to give his body a break. Dominguez improved to 5-0 (4 Kos) fighting career-wise on RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS.

Newman, whose 4-right win streak was snapped in his most recent fight, last February in Las Vegas to Geno Pilana by way of a close 10-round decision 96-94 X 3), is anxious to showcase his improvements working under the guidance of Jones.

“I’m really looking forward to this fight,” Newman said. “It’s a great opportunity for me thanks to Roy, my team, and RJJ Boxing Promotions to get me back on the path to chase my dream of becoming world champion. I’ve been in the gym with Roy since April of last year, working day in and day out down in Pensacola, Florida. This is my first fight with Roy as my head trainer and having an official camp with him. I’m excited to show what we’ve been working on.

The main event finds 23-year-old Mexican super middleweight Manuel “El Meno” Gallegos (17-1, 15 Kos) matched against his Las Vegas opponent, Kevin “The Second Coming” Newman (11-2-1, 6 Kos), trong một cơn 10 vòng.

Veltre, who also announced the hiring ofDean Toole as iKON’s matchmaker, is the CEO and co-founder of RJJ Boxing Promotions and Kinektic submission grappling, both streaming events exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS.

“I have always lived by the motto, when businesses are downsizing during tough times, I either acquire or expand,” Veltre said. “I take advantage of times like this to rollout new adventures and MMA has always been in my game plan. I am thankful to have a great broadcast partner, UFC FIGHT PASS, and we’re excited to launch our first Ikon event with UFC FIGHT PASS on September 24th."

Toole added, “Being the founder and CEO of Island Fights, on UFC FIGHT PASS, it sometimes gets overlooked that I’m also the matchmaker for all of our professional events. I couldn’t be happier for this opportunity to continue doing what I’m best at and matchmake fights for iKON Fighting Federation.

“I had the privilege of being hired by Keith Veltre and UFC FIGHT PASS in December for the Quinet Ultra event and I think they liked working with me and my staff. I hope we made a good impression. I’m very excited to get started and do what we do best and that’s get these athletes to UFC.”

Undefeated lightweight prospect Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz Set for Friday’s homecoming fight

WORCESTER, Quần chúng. (Tháng hai 26, 2020) – Undefeated World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth World lightweight championJamaine “The Technician” Ortiz (12-0, 6 Kos) plans to make a major statement this Friday when he fights at home in Worcester, Massachusetts, for the first time as a professional boxer.

Ortiz will headline aCES Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS® event, promoted by Classic Entertainment and Sports (CES), at the historic Worcester Palladium.

“I’m ready,” Ortiz said after a recent open workout. “It’s good getting so much support. I have a lot of people coming to the fights. To me, I only have one job – win!  And I’d like to win in spectacular fashion. I want to show everybody at the Palladium and those watching on UFC FIGHT PASS that it’s all real, no hype behind my name. Everybody watching Friday night will know what I bring into the ring.”

Ortiz, 23, is a lightning-quick, gifted lightweight with tremendous upside. A decorated amateur, Ortiz is a rising star in what many believe will be a breakout year for him.

“Jamaine certainly hasn’t reached his full potential,” Ortiz’ head trainerRocky Gonzalez commented. “He’s still young and all he really needs is more experience. He’s a good listener with great hand speed, and he switches (stances) easily. And he really believes in himself and it’s hard to beat somebody like that. I can’t teach heart, but he has that as well. I don’t know how far he can go, chưa, but he’s talented and nowhere close to being a finished product.”
